nocireception is the physiological indicator of damage to the body, pain is the subjective experience of that damage, suffering is he perception that you have been damned
I am under-reactive with pain so often don't fear it but the idea of needles really gets me. Is this the nociception part of my brain firing up to avoid potential issues? Interesting.
"adrenaline" = fight or flight......study "adrenal glands".....and yes some are the same....noticable more during sexual orgasms it can be a very physical activity, the adrenal gland is an "anti-metholating" filter
Unless you have chronic pain because the nociceptors still fire well and truly after the initial trauma to tissues. I've had three surgeries on my hand and Jesus Christ I really regret going ahead with the third surgery. I've woken up every single night since surgery and the days are painful 90% of the time and any period of reduced pain is followed swiftly by pain which sends me to the verge of breaking down. The natural progression of tolerance to the pain medication has resulted in me seriously contemplating the gravity of increasing the dosage on an opioid and how there probably won't be any turning back. Both the use of narcotics and absence of narcotics both lead to really shitty situations so I really don't know what to do. My doctor said he can do it but there are negatives.
Where does it go when a house fly senses a nociception signal, it does not feel the pain but it can sense damage. I findi t a bit difficult to imagine how you can feel damage but no pain?
I learned the difference the other night. I have terrible knees and have torn ligaments and meniscus in both knees. I also have ausgood schlatters disease in both knees. The interesting part, is on a day-to-day basis my knees generally don't bother me unless I've done a fair bit of running or lots of kneeling, however; when I smoke marijuana my knees, left wrist, and back all begin to bother me. This is because Marijuana affects your Peripheral Nervous System (PNS) which is related to voluntary motor skills, such as walking or playing an instrument, and your breathing, digestion, sweating, and shivering, (Autonomic Nervous System.) The reason why my knees bother me so much only when I smoke marijuana is because THC effects these nociceptors. Because I have had so many knee injuries in the past, the pain signal is not actually pain but rather "warning" me of the pain that has either been there before, is currently there, or may POTENTIALLY be there because of my body's ability to remember this pain from a previous event.
1:41 "pain is NOT just a perception"....the needle you poked made a hole in your finger!!! that is "very real".....have you ever had a broken arm or ripped knee ligament!!?😳😳😳😳😭😭😭😭

Which chemicals are present during the "fight or flight response" and are the same chemicals present in pleasurable activities..?
