My hometown! Im very happy here, especially after living in a smaller city and much larger city. We have everything we need with some fun things and events. Nestled between OKC and DFW if I want to go somewhere bigger.
I wish you would of taken us out by Sheppard AFB, but it was a nice drive through a couple parks and neighborhoods. Downtown is a mix of ruin down, abandoned buildings and nice places. I am guessing this drive was around December, so that explains why everything is yellow and bare and why many people are not out and about. For me it does not look all that bad, a lake near by for water fun, lots of great parks to walk/bike and explore. My son just joined the Space Force, and my other sons wife has family in Clarksville so we are considering here as a half way point to travel between the two place.. Colorado & Tennessee.
Great video, thank-you. We are moving to Wichita Falls TX soon. Military retirees. Have family there too. Smaller area than I'd thought. That's good actually. Thank-you!
I was born at Walson Army Hospital 1-17-1964. My father was in USAF and taught at Shepherd Air Force Base! I lived on Karla St. Then I moved back to my mom and dad's birthplace in 1969 he went to Thule, Greenland for 1 yr and we then moved to McGuire AFB, NJ for 4 yrs been back to Evansville, ever since. where I continue to reside Evansville, IN. My parents are gone now dad 2014 mom 2019.
Have you ever done a drive around Lawton, Oklahoma? I lived there many years ago when husband was stationed there. Wonder if it has improved or gotten worse.
Excellent video, enjoyed that! I drive through there on my way to Colorado, but never on the city streets, just on highway 287 passing through. Still looks the same as it did back in the '70's. That's not a bad thing sometimes!
WHERE is everybody!? I think I saw 5, maybe 6 people in the whole video! Nobody walking down the streets for an hour and a half! Wow! That's a DEAD town! Not enough movement going on.
It’s a good place to live yeah theirs not a lot to do but since moving back from Illinois it’s I feel it’s a much better place to live than Rockford, IL things are looking better for the city if they invest in the right places.
I think it would be better moving here than Wisconsin! I actually like the fact that there is no hustle and bustle...the traffic is not like Dallas or Houston.
@@ginagina3271 I drive through Wichita Falls on hwy. 287 twice a year going back and forth to Colorado from Dallas, and Wichita Falls still looks basically the same as it did back in the '70's. And no traffic on the freeway! For me, being from Dallas and living in Dallas, it's very nice and peaceful to drive through Wichita Falls.
In 1990 a federal Texas appeals court judges family was murdered there, he was deceased at time of murders, murdered was his wife her mother her brother has anyone heard of this? I know who done this and the coverups afterwards
Donovan, what city do you live in? Could you please tell me, where are the suburbs in Witchita Falls, Texas? Where do people who look like you and I live?
@@ginagina3271 I'm not Donovan, but I'm familiar with Wichita Falls, since I drive through there twice a year. There isn't much for suburbs, this is not a big city.

@@franciscoortiz9730 I live here in WF...It can be a great town or and boring town all depending on the lifestyle a person/family chooses to live. My wife and I are in our late 30's early 40's with a 12 year old daughter. The town provides us with everything we need and enjoy it. I will say, the school system has been going down hill for the last few years however. What are your likes, interest and hobbies? Maybe I can share what may or not be here for you. Cheers!
@@weatherwatchTX we have a simple life, it's all about our dog's. We just want to decent home with some land and be around nice people, thank you so much for your input would you have any suggestions where to look?

I was there early 90's for a 3 month training at Sheppard AFB. I enjoyed it, friendly people, good restaurants, and good times.

You're very welcome! I hope you enjoy Wichita Falls.
There is a few good places there that I remember. A cupcake bar and a saloon. Other than that it's a small town without much going on.
