I miss living in Longview. Watching this video brings back memories. Longview has changed some since I moved now I want to move back there.
We was gone from Longview 25 years. Moved back in 2021 to help my mother in law and we are ready to leave. We’re looking at Florida.
It’s actually a much different place than you remember. I moved back in 2022 and am so happy to be home.
Is it dangerous?
So much driving in Texas even in the smaller towns like this.

You missed a lot of our great neighborhoods, schools, the good areas of town.
I spent a college semester in Longview at LeTourneau before deciding being so far from home wasn't for me, and though that was a quarter century ago I was pretty well oriented where you were once you got to the downtown the first time. I did wish at the end to go south instead of north on Mobberly from the campus, to go by the LeTourneau manufacturing site (owned by Komatsu, I think, now) but my travels off campus were mostly northward to the Walmart in the northeast quadrant (north to Birdsong, then east to 259 as I remember it). I was always struck by how on some of the roads you barely get past a church steeple before you see another one ahead. I think the biggest surprise for me was the almost all-Spanish signage on some businesses (not sure if I forgot or it was different then.)

I've lived here in Longview since 1975.
It's a great little town.

I drive Longview everyday. Getting bigger and bigger!
I had no idea where Longview Texas was... looked it up in Googles maps; it's of I-20 almost next to Shreeveport. That's a long way in East Texas. At first I thought it was next to Orange Texas somewhere. Oh well, I probably passed by there on my way to Shreeveport.
Longview is 60 miles west of Shreveport on I-20.
Longview ISD is the Top-Rated school district in East Texas.
Not saying much.

Great city to relocate or start up a business. Major employers are welcomed. Come see what Longview, Texas has to offer.
Not much and not really. A bunch of minimum wage jobs and high crime.

Not missing much. Typical east texas town run by good ol boys with lousy jobs and nothing to do. Stay away from east Texas.

Been livin in longview for almost up on a year now, and it's a really nice little town in some parts. Downtown seems a bit too classy and fast paced for me, but the eastern outskirts are way better to me.

It’s at 59:19 on the left side of the road.
From a certain definition, at least 59:00 to 1:00:34 show parts of the LeTU campus (beginning -- turning right onto Mobberly to go south, from northwest of campus with the west Tyler Hall and Belcher center coming into view; end, turning right again onto Mobberly to go north)
