Oh no I feel so bad for that person in chat whose message Julien said was being a bummer. They weren’t trying to say Stardew is a mid game that’s only based on luck. Others had just mentioned the auto-petter and said it was a late game item, but when you go the community center route, you can *only* get it from chests in the Skull Caverns, which you reach around mid-game. There’s a 1/26 chance to get an auto-petter from one of the treasure chest floors, and it’s based on luck. Totally see how it was misinterpreted, but I’m 99% sure the person wasn’t making a dig at the game like some other people have during Stardew streams.
While i do enjoy these stardew videos a lot, stuff like this and the chat babysitting in the last (?) video where that one person kept saying a slur bc they were told it was a slur and for some reason couldnt fathom it and julien had to take like 2 mins to calm people down are the reasons why i usually never watch anyones streams lol. I feel so much either secondhand embarrassment for the knuckleheads needing to be handheld by a grown man and pity for the people who get scolded over a misunderstanding im like dreading watching the rest of this vod rn because im scared knowing this interaction is gonna pop up when i least expect it 😭

@@digitalfactoryx oh god yeah that was annoying like Julien and everyone in chat were being SO kind to that person. Blunt maybe, but not like berating them, but they got SO defensive. I think they were on the younger side and definitely haven’t gotten to a point where they fully understand impact > intent. As an autistic person it was definitely hard to watch, but I am glad Julien actually addressed it himself. This happened really early in the vod so if you start maybe 30 minutes in you should miss it completely. 🖤

not believing in ghosts or spirits is a belief system in its own right. while i don’t think dogging on other people’s ideology is right, i think conflating non believers to being xenophobic is pretty reductionist. i think respecting everyone’s belief system is the way to go! whether it be believer or non believer. i personally don’t believe in spirits but i don’t go out of my way to insult those who do, and i expect that same understanding back.

well if you need to carry a bomb its in your hotbar since they are all hotbars since you can switch between them
