By far, the clearest & most accurate of all yt car repair videos. My car is nearly identical but has 2 white plastic pins connected to a plastic bracket near outside door. I couldn't figure out how to get them off but the inner panel moved enough to fit a small hose vacuum and recover the pin. Installing the small panel was hardest part because I couldn't get the upper gasket off. So, the vertical bar wouldn't come out. Taking it out is definitely the way to go! My way took forever and more tries than I care to admit. (In case anyone else runs into this, a gasket pick, a wooden pry stick, a rubber mallet and block of wood to move the lower bar back & forth and soapy water on tools & gaskets.) The rest of it went smooth. There's no way I could have ever figured this out or repaired my window without you. Thank you!
Thank you for this video. It helped my son and I change the window glass in his 99 Buick. It wasn't exactly the same, but it gave us the right idea. We were about to give up before we found your video.
Thanks for your patient and thorough explanation. My rear passenger window was not broken but would not open from either thr front or rear switch, it would just click. I think the window was just stuck from lack of use. Once I had removed the motor I was able to move the window up and down in its track. Then with the motor in my hand I reattached its electrical connector and flipped the switch. The motor and switch both worked fine. So I reattached everything and all is good. Now I probably will try to put a bit of silicone or suitable lubricant in the window track. Thanks for your excellent video.
you made a mistake and it's cost me like an hour and couple of grey hairs. The hole is only for disassembly locking pin. When you assembly you should put the pin into the window, mount everything and just put a force to window and then just click. 37:46 besides that the video was very helpful for me:) thanks!

Does the window stay in place while removing that panel the motor attaches to? Or do I have to remove the window to remove that panel?
@beaup314 The window can stay in place

Is it really necessary to remove that first trim piece? I can’t see from the video that it covers any bolts or attaches to the door itself.
Tommy Tudoto it makes it easy when you remove that piece!
What do you use to get the interior panel bolts out?
catzareawsome sheepareawsome you'll need T35 or T30 torque!
How do you get the switch of at 16:06
