Thanks to her I started to play the drums during the last quarantine, now I’m 56. I said WTF? if a child can do it, I can do it too! I learned almost 20 songs in drums watching UA-cam tutorials in a couple of months😅, and I left it just because for some reason I started to feel like playing the accordion, and here I was again, watching UA-cam videos from children and me again WTF? Noooo 😅. Unfortunately I could never get the instrument at this time, I saw tutorials where teens are using an app to learn accordion, I got the app and started with that. It’s very challenging and so fun! The new era is….”We will learn from children” that’s what it is. If you would like to play an instrument some day, this is the time, just look for a video with a child playing it better than a grown up person and you will get the courage! 😍
You are so right! Ayu Gusfanz for instance. Now 16 or 17? Absolute star. Yoyo1212 Guitar who by the age of 8 had left her dad trailing in her wake, Karolina Protsenko now 13, the list goes on and on. 🎶

You mentioned how she was singing the lyrics on top of all that other shit. The way I explain it is that you have to remove your brain from the process of playing. One of the WORST habits you can pick up is staring at your hands or fingers when playing an instrument. It becomes a "crutch" and this crutch will tie your brain to the process of physically playing the instrument. When you walk down the street, do you actively "think" about how to walk? Do you tell your left foot to move foreard and prepare to shift your weight onto it and then pick up your right one and move it forward to move forward? NO!!!! You simply "walk" while your brain is engaged in a conversation if you are walking with a friend or on the phone... or looking at things around you.... the LAST thing you are "thinking" about is the physical act of WALKING down the street. This is the "zone" you MUST achieve while playing any instrument. Your fingers/hands/arms know how to do their jobs, let them do it. If your brain is actively "thinking" about the physical act of playing the instrument, it will SCREW it up EVERYTIME. When you sing your favorite song (weather you sing good or cant hit a note) do you "think" about what word comes next? NO!!!! You simply SING it. Now.... once you can disconnect your brain from the instrument and ONLY then, can EMOTION enter into the piece you are playing. It is the moment when you are no longer playing the music but the music is playing YOU!!!!! This is the "secret" that will put you on a whole new level. Also, this asian delivery driver I knew was talking about classical music one time (because he heard my classical playlist playing) told me a joke. No matter how good you think you are at ANYTHING, there is a 5 yr old asian kid that does it BETTER!
