As a Quinn stan, I was starved for content when this season was airing. I felt so reinvigorated after this episode and the 2 other episodes she was on. Unfortunately, that was all :( but Dianna freakin served

This episode had so many great performances.
I see the controversy surrounding Tina's first solo doing a korean song, but honestly she and the New Directions delivered. With the amazing choreography, Sam with his shades and confidence, Kitty's wink, the glitter, the ability for Tina to even speak korean, they just slayed. Also poor Marley. I was kind of bummed they didn't win.
Let's Have a Kiki/Turkey Lurkey Time was wild. With Kurt shouting "mother" and "lock the door" to a Shangela cameo, to Brody wondering what the heck was going on and the random Turkey Lurkey part coming on and Rachel, it just had laughing my bum off.
Homeward Bound/Home was very emotional seeing them get together and such an amazing mashup.
The first song of this episode...I always cry when Cory comes in and he starts to sing his part, I immediately think of Naya 😭💔
Ps : Uh, oh...hard confidence is bad, this was what makes Rachel choked in her first NYADA's audition 😶
Ps 2 : Put Santana to be Marley's mentor was amazing, if she was Kitty's mentor, it would be...to cliché...
I was part of the Glee fandom on Tumblr from like 2010 until the show ended and let me tell you, fans HATED the beginning of this season because there was gonna be a spin-off focused solely on New York and Ryan Murphy canceled it for petty reasons, so the show kinda became this Frankenstein's monster of Lima/New York where Lima felt too childish and NY felt more adult-oriented while still having to tone itself down because of the Lima side, and old fans only cared about the New York side. Some fans even stopped watching the show for a while.
That said, EVERY FAN came back for this one. Homeward Bound/Home with the OGs made the fandom feel at home again.
I hate that the show didn’t take the whole eating disorder plotline seriously because like bullying and LQTBQ+ issues it’s a very serious thing and they barely even focus on it at all; like nobody actually makes any effort to actually ask Marley what’s going on or if she’s okay.
Dianna's career was really busy during this period so she couldn't be on the show that much. She was doing like 100 other movies 😂

S4 is mid but the episodes where Quinn appears are my fave

I'm kinda curious how little Marley actually ate... I've had times where I hadn't eaten for three to four days (and I mean literally nothing) and felt like I might collapse soon, but to actually faint? That has gotta take like... a lot (or well little in this case) 😅
she'd also been rehearsing non-stop, then performed a high energy dance number full out, absolutely eating through what remained of her energy

I always felt that way about seasons 4 and 5. They had such a HUGE cast and they were trying any sort of plot they could to get the originals back to McKinley High. And/or they'd want to make sure we didn't forget about NYC. The show would flip back and forth often and it just seemed too disjointed. It wasn't fair to the new cast members because they didn't get enough time to be fully fleshed out. And it wasn't too long before they just became background characters for the most part (especially in S05).
They justt got two full episode of all Lima and over 30 minutes an episode to deal with the new kids. The fleshed them out but they stuck them with another love triangle.
@@GA-fn8hr no they weren’t. the switching between the two never gave the new kids a actual chance to gain any sort of likeness because you didn’t need to, we still had the ogs.
the only characters that was somewhat fleshed out were Marley, Jake, & Ryder. everyone else became got overshadowed them 3 or the ogs. we don’t even see Mercedes & Unique have any relationship even though they were paired together but for someone reason she came back to mentor Marley.
@@wtfheim You named 3 of 5 to get fleshed out, I would add Unique to that list too, so 4 of the 5. But if you don't want the OGs to overshadow them, why even have Mercedes return to mentor any of then seems contradictory. I think we saw them a lot, several different love triangles, the cat-fishing, Marley's eating disorder, dyslexia, the false pregnancy, Marley/mom story, Jake cheating, poor kids, Left behind club prank, Unique's struggles i.e bathroom, Rizzo, the Sectionals debacle, keeping the club together with Finn, Marley helping Finn, school shooting confessions, connection, Marley wants to write originals songs. The problem was not the time they had but the boring nature of the characters and the rehashed triangles and storylines.
@@GA-fn8hr I brought up Mercedes because they could have took the one on one conversation between Mercedes & Unique to help flesh out her character instead of giving Marley that relationship & one on one conversations later one in the series.
all the storylines quite literally proved my point, half of the storylines you mentioned are centered around the *3 characters* I named that were fleshed out the most: Marley, Jake, & Ryder . my points aren’t just my opinion, multiple reddit threads of people agree w/ the split between NY & the club caused for a lot of underdeveloped storylines, many storylines were dropped or rushed, & many of the characters weren’t given enough to make you care that much abt them.
@@wtfheim And many on reddit over the years were fine with the split, and many wanted more for just NY. Every season had underdeveloped plots and characters or dropped storylines that was glee. I would say all 5 of the new ones were more fleshed out in 22 episodes then Tina was in 100.
agree to disagree, whistle was fire and hot..and so was live while were young;) other then that, I feel like the rest of the music was meh..and season 4 to me at least was a huge disappointment.
tbh, season 4 was just lacking naya. and then season 5, there was no naya OR heather... season 1-3 are def superior
