Ummmm, the S9, is not a S5ii. Not even close! I had the S9 and returned it. It isn't about the features, the S5ii is a more pro body, built better. If you are going to do any professional work, make sure you get the S5ii, the build quality is far far superior for the small jump in price. Once you have both in the hand, you will know what I am talking about.....
There seems to be more edge wobbles compared to the 20-60mm when walking. Was that even with IBIS and EIS on? Is it simply because of 18mm vs 20mm? By the way, this style is SO much better than all of the other UA-camr reviews. Might need some perseverance to make a chance in style for the views, but I think you should. Great stuff man!
Your pictures turned out to be black, but the area is fabulous, we also have such places in western Georgia, come as a tourist we will take you on a visit
I gave up on Panasonic. They make great products for videographers, but if you are into photography, better look somewhere else. This camera with a mechanical shutter and a really small prime lens like Nikon's 26mm f/2.8 would have been a great everyday carry. Now it is just a video camera that can also take photos.
@DustinArmstrongPro NO. NO. Shooting 4K full frame the S9 oversamples from 6K. Hybrid zoom crops down from full frame to 4K aps-c. Still 4K , all the same number of pixels. There is NO loss in resolution. You get a 1.5X increase in reach with any zoom lens with no loss in resolution.
They're not going to add hybrid zoom to the s5II. All companies are shitty like this. They want to save it for future releases, for more incentive for purchase.
Well I don't think you have used LUMIX long then because there's a ton of things the LUMIX S5II didn't have that new cameras received and now with firmware updates the S5II has now so I don't see why they wouldn't add it later as long as it's not a hardware limitation, LUMIX will add it I guarantee it
I really wish they did a 20-40 f2.8, like the Tamron for Sony.
That'd be sweet. They still might in the future
yes I wish that too, i have the tamron, its just sucks with 3rd party lens i cant use my active stabilization and dynamic active on sony zv-e1
Out of breath commentary is the best commentary
I'm too old for this

@@waynosfotoscameras I have both
Awesome shots Dustin!! Any way to help reduce the wobble? Is it less when IBIS is off? and then do post stab instead?
I'm fairly certain I didn't have standard e stabilization on and that will help a lot

@TheJoeyP I don't believe I had EIS on. I meant to turn it on to help with the wobbles but may have forgot lol
Great Video!!

does hybrid zoom crop the sensor = lower resolution?
Yes
