  • Alaska Resilience Farms (ARF) formed in the spring of 2021 in response to the state's changing climate and concerns around food insecurity in our underserved rural and urban communities. The ARF partnership connects the Native Village of Eklutna’s community garden, Alaska Seeds of Change hydroponic farm in Anchorage, and Alaska Pacific University’s Spring Creek Farm, all of which reside on the ancestral and current homelands of the Dena’ina Athabascan people.
Together, we host workshops and knowledge exchange events focused on offering technical and financial assistance to those looking to increase their local, small-scale food production efforts. With our tribal partners, we also explore culturally appropriate approaches for the stewardship and cultivation of the traditional foods and medicines of Alaska Native peoples.
