I worked in a bakery as a teenager. Obviously, we couldn't use chemical cleaners, so we used vinegar and lemon juice, respectively, to clean the glass and display cases every night. These natural products work wonders and are also a terrific (life saving) choice for anyone allergic to chemical cleaners!
I've used vinegar for most of my cleaning for a very long time now, it really does go away very quickly. I've never had a guest complain to me about a vinegar smell, and I even asked if there is one.
If you drive your car through freshly tarred road and you get dried specs of tar all over, use petroleum jelly and a sponge to get it off the paint job on your car. Cheaper than getting a new paint job!
My mother used to add a cap full of vinegar in a bowl of warm water and rinsed my hair with it, in the 60's and 70's there were no products such as anti nit spray nor conditioner. I never had nits at school the nit nurse confirmed that lol and my hair had a lovely shine to it x
My favorite, if you have rusty tools soak them in vinegar for 24 hours. The rust will melt off. For best results, remove from vinegar after 24 hours, scrub with a wire brush, and finally coat with oil or WD-40 to prevent flash rust from forming.
Great video on the benefits and uses of vinegar! I also use apple-cider-vinegar (ACV) mixed with water & a few drops of lavender oil instead of hair conditioner. Leaves hair extra clean and shiny, and the vinegar smell dissipates after it dries, leaving only the lavender scent behind. Thank you for the vinegar spray tip about de-wrinkling shirts - I was using fabric softener + water to de-wrinkle, but no more! :) As another commenter mentioned, drinking raw ACV with raw honey and water is the best health drink ever. I drink it twice a day. Bragg's is my favorite brand for ACV.
+Michele W The water with the vinegar must help because I've been drinking ACV/honey water for two years and my teeth are good! You could always drink it with a straw if you're concerned about your teeth. Vinegar used as a hair rinse makes my hair shiny, that's why I use it (aside from it being natural). It's not frizzy :) You can see my hair in my avatar, that's me.

add a capful of any extracts you can get at the grocery store in the food section. I use orange with mine. Capful is enough to scent at least 5 gallons. I use it to mop with. And you can use any of them to freshen the air. Vinegar sanitizes. Fabreze doesn't....
the best window cleaner is vinegar and water. The trick is to use newspaper. The newsprint and vinegar create very sparkly clean swindows. My grandmother used this on the farm in the 1930's. Her other trick was to put 1 piece of bread in the container with your fresh baked cookies. The bread got hard as a rock, but the cookies stayed soft and moist.
My steam iron started steaming out rust onto my clothes, so I put white vinegar into the reservoir and ran it through the iron down the sink. Then ran clear water through it and it was good to go and is still going years later - no rust through it anymore. I've heard other folk throw their iron away when rust starts coming through, so saved buying a new one.
I use vinegar all the time for cleaning and for clogged drains including my recently shark mop that stopped working. Even for my hair to remove all the build up. Very very effective and all natural! Infact, when my dishasher was not working, the techinician told me that putting a tbsp of vinegar in the dishwasher will make it last longer . Well, I also don't need that much soap anymore and for NO spots guess what? VINEGAR! I buy galloons just because it made my life easier. And for keeping my husband and I healthy, AC vinegar as well. He doesn't complain about his knee arthritis anymore. Look it up on all the benefits on line. I cannot do without the vinegar. Has been my saving grace!
for the fruit flies trap you need to put in a drop of dawn dish soap to break the water tension. otherwise they gather on the inside of the jar till they die a week or so later.
One thing important, because i didn't know this either, white vinigar you use for cleaning it's not the same use on food for seasoning salads like the ones made from white, red whine or fruits, it's alcohol vinigar. Beside that white vinegar and baking soda is helpful to remove deodorant arm pit stains, i discover it this way, and it work. The only thing i hate about using it as a cleaning product around the house it's the horrible smell it leaves i hate that smell as much i hate the taste of common vinigar, but it can be very useful.
I use 1 part vinegar and 1 part water do clean the scale in my electric water boiler. Works like a bomb. Pour the mixture in to the maximum and swithch the kettle on. Let it boil, switch off and let it stand for a while. Afterwards, rinse with clean water.
Nice, thank you, but you didn't mention soaking your feet in a half and half mix with water as hot as you can deal with... very relaxing, and it can control certain types of foot fungus, or you can just spray some on your feet, and rub it in! Subbed you, BTW!
TheSUPERHAPPY1 Or you can let it soak by pouring some Bleach in it & let it soak for a while. I usually prefer to dilute the Bleach a little by cutting with some hot water & then I let it soak until the water has cooled down to room temperature all the way. I'd much rather be anywhere that smells like regular chlorine Bleach (and/or 1 of my most favorite assorted Bleach scent(s) that comes in a handful of various, different added fragrances) as opposed to having to inhale the repugnant smell of vinegar on any day & time of the week :-}. There is advice on the net that the vinegar + baking soda trick, (even recommended by some plumbers) doesn't help unclog drains. Of course there's a noticeable reaction between the alkaline soda and acidic vinegar but it doesn't cut grease at all. I've used it on slow drains but can't say if it helps or not, it might just be the hot water that's recommended after the soda/vinegar treatment.
I am using a pretty glass as a pencil holder at my desk. It is smoked paint on the inside. A pen leaked terribly until I took notice and so I have been soaking it out with vinegar. It has taken 6 days, but each day it softened some ink and I could rub it out.
I also use distilled white vinegar in your washing machine if you’ve got hard water and it will also help soften your clothes and prevent color running
Won't the vinegar soaked bread leave a smell of vinegar? Another vinegar tip for the smokers watching... Pour some vinegar in a dirty ash tray, let it sit for a minute or so, then wipe and rinse out your ash tray to make it clean as new
The Salt Sorry, I don't vape or use any drugs. I don't even drink really, and yes I know alcohol is a drug too. The most I know about "vaping" is that it's like smoking but with water vapor instead of smoke, unless I am confusing it for something else.
+Binky Lozz Vinegar is a chemical too, 5% acetic acid in a water solution. In fact, everything you touch, eat, and smell is made of chemicals. Without chemical you would die, so they're kind of good for you.
Dramatic effect .Even some natural chemicals can be bad but the inference is that artificial chemicals are likely to be more harmful but not in all cases. Cyanide is natural, found in apple pips, not so good in high doses.
Hello, when I was making the fruit fly catcher, after I poked the holes in the saran wrap, I tossed the knife in the air but didn't catch it right and it cut my hand really bad... Am I doing something wrong? Does vinegar clean up blood too??
For the gnat trap, only poke 1 hole. For best results it should be just larger than a gnat. Use a toothpick. Also, put in 1 drop of liquid soap for better results. It breaks the surface tension and really pulls the little buggers in.
+Binky Lozz Yeah, last time I was sick (years ago) I put *organic apple cider vinegar* in hot water to breathe in. I rarely get sick these days, since I've gone organic / grass fed products + take organic, whole food vitamin / mineral supplements. I used to have sniffles every day, and stuffed up nostrils for most of my life but, when I changed my lifestyle (as mentioned above) and took supplements, it all went away. :)
+Drummer GirlGlamorous Vinegar is acidic, so I'd probably rinse my head with water and *Baking Soda* (Sodium Bicarbonate), as it's alkaline and will counter the acidity of vinegar. I wash my hair with Baking Soda (and then put organic, unrefined coconut oil in my hair afterward).

It just doesn't smell at all. The same with clothes - I always put vinegar in the water when washing clothes as it is a deodoriser, a softener and a cleaner all in one. My clothes do not smell of vinegar , they merely smell clean and fresh.
So I watch these videos already knowing the cleaning power of vinegar just thinking am I the only one that thinks vinegar smells stronger and the smell lasts longer than most of the things you are using it to clean.......
FuKItM4n Well since I am not going to drink it just like any of the other cleaners its level of poisonous is moot. I was just commenting on the funk that is white vinegar. That trash can tip for example I have never had any smell in my can that lasted for as long or was as bad as doing that would be. .
skillcoiler Vinegar is used in a lot of cleaners, and deodorizers (Febreeze) Vinegar's smell does not last long at all. IT evaporates quicky, like alcohol because thats pretty much what it is, over cooked alcohol
FuKItM4n Well one of us either is using the wrong kind of vinegar or my nose is just amazingly more sensitive than yours. Every time I crack it open regardless of the kind say for cooking as well I smell it for quite some time in the house.
skillcoiler Thats because you are keeping it in a container that has a lot of liquid.. When you spray it, it mists has more surface area and evaporates faster... logic..
To unclog a drain, you can improvethe process by putting the baking soda and pouring the vinegar below the lid level. Then rapidly put the drain lid so pressure can build up. This would work for more serious clogs.
The smell of vinegar goes away when it dries. Since it's just a spritz, it will dry before you leave the house and won't smell. Same with using vinegar anywhere else in the house - it only smells while it's still wet!
@@miabutterfly2367 Here's a small tip...Stop using deodorant! Ever look at the ingredients list? You're literally putting dried aluminum and/or anti-freeze on them! Drink more water and shower every two to three days with regular mild bar soap (Jergens). Problem solved.
I'm using the organic vinegar is darker color and less is more and less stronger smell than the cheaper ones and use drops of essential oils so the house will not smell like vinegar hell!!
baking soda if u put some in a bowl it pull all the smells from a room if you have it on fabric u can rinse the fabric with dilute baking soda it has the same cleaning value and power as has vinegar

When you spray it, it mists has more surface area and evaporates faster... logic..
2:08 I saw someone waving in the reflection of the glasses XD 😃
To unclog a drain, you can improvethe process by putting the baking soda and pouring the vinegar below the lid level. Then rapidly put the drain lid so pressure can build up. This would work for more serious clogs.
at the glasses part if you look at it you can see him wavuing

what about the base of the pots and pans? will it clean them?
There's one problem I don't want my shirts to smell like vinegar
The smell of vinegar goes away when it dries. Since it's just a spritz, it will dry before you leave the house and won't smell. Same with using vinegar anywhere else in the house - it only smells while it's still wet!
I use vinegar and baking soda to remove the stain on armpit area, it clears the deodorant build up and itvdoesnt smell like vinegar
@@deeznutz2646 You can get aluminum free deoderant, lie Tom's of Maine
1 part vinegar and 3 parts water, hardly any odor at all.
I'm using the organic vinegar is darker color and less is more and less stronger smell than the cheaper ones and use drops of essential oils so the house will not smell like vinegar hell!!
***** Whoa! This was random. Lol omfg. Well vinegar sure has some side effects lolz.
***** Okay. Well thankyou. Caio!
I wonder if this will work for getting burnt baking pans will work.
I just want to ask one thing. How to remove the lasts long stinky vinegar smell?
w BOYD spot on....seem like no one got an answer for it so far
I put some drops of essential oils (lemon and lavender) in the vinegar . It smells a lot better and the smell goes away when it dries .
baking soda if u put some in a bowl it pull all the smells from a room if you have it on fabric u can rinse the fabric with dilute baking soda it has the same cleaning value and power as has vinegar
w BOYD febreze
That's good but now you're whole house smells of vinegar...
The vinegar smell goes away once it's dried. I tried it myself after soaking my mop in white vinegar to get rid of the smell.
