Even though baking soda is extremely safe you should always be careful when dealing with chemical reactions of any type. Eye protection should be worn and a fire extinguisher near by. If chemicals will be handled then safety gloves should always be worn. If you’re a minor, make sure you have adult supervision whenever you attempt any science experiments.

I can NOT drink baking soda water without vomiting, so I pour the baking soda onto a piece of paper, get a mouthful of liquid, tilt my head upwards, and pour the baking soda in the back of my throat. Swallow quickly, and you won't taste it at all. I learned this taking goody's and bc powders.
Eat something with mustard on it to get rid of heartburn if that is your intention. Some juices are great with a little fizz.

It's also good to clean car battery terminals mix it with a little water to make a paste like and apply.
I use baking soda to combat my acid reflux if you have real bad acid indigestion and you have a nearby source of baking soda grab a couple of spoonfuls and down it with some water you'd be surprised what you'll do when you have an acid attack
Another great tip with baking soda is to use it with super glue it dries hard as a rock instantly when super glue touches it.. great for fixing stuff , filling cracks ect.. and great video by the way

Baking Soda is one of the most useful substances. Another life hack is to mix a little baking soda in with preworkout before lifting and you will feel less sore while lifting, I can personally attest to this :)

Skillet catches fire, just put the lid back on and remove from heat. For an antacid do not use that much Baking soda. That will neutralize all you stomach acid and cause the stomach to produce more. 1/4 tsp would be more appropriate

If you've got a greasefire, another thing you can do is put a lid on it. Covering the pan smothers the fire without ruining your food.
The baking soda antacid works. I've used it. Didn't have tums on hand, and I figured sodium bicarbonate would react with acid much like calcium carbonate (what tums are made of; basically chalk) leaving behind salt and gas. (You will burp after drinking.)
This wasn't mentioned, but you can also use baking soda for homemade toothpaste, if you should run out.
I also once used it to undent a flask. (With vinegar, closed the lid, dent popped out.)

If you are a tea drinker like me, the insides of your mugs are probably stained a brownish color. I usually sprinkle enough baking soda so that it covers the very bottom of the mug, and you just scrub the inside with whatever you use to hand wash dishes normally. Just rub the baking soda on the sides and such to restore the inside of the mug to it's original, clean color :)

If the lid fits properly, the fire will go out as soon as the remaining oxygen is used up, which will be almost immediate. It's certainly quicker, especially if the lid is right there. One quick motion, to douse the fire, rather than hover over it trying to sprinkle baking soda.
If I took the lid off and a fire occurred, I'd be thinking how lucky I was to have the perfect fire suppression system already in my hand! I'm glad I made you laugh - it's a daily goal of mine - thanks for returning the favor!

You can make a nice cleanser by making a 50/50 mix of baking soda and Borax laundry softner
Grab a paper towel, and put a generous amount of baking soda on it. Then roll it up, and smoke it. You won't even notice the smell.

I like the carpet freshener baking soda and lavander essential oil, that is a DIY job! I also like the Arm and Hammer carpet fresh in different fragrances you can find on the market like tropical scent. I don' t always have to do this tip because I found a Arm and Hammer vaccum filter for my sweeper that freshens as you sweep! Fragrance free too if you like that or you can make your own.

I did 1/6 of a teaspoon of baking soda, and that took care of the acid reflex. Don't over do it.
