hey man, if they send me a controller that has the third little red wire on the battery connector im using a lithium 48v battery. what do i do with it? You said something about it in the video but didnt really understand im a noobie haha. thanks for the help brother
Hey, an old guy came the other day and asked me if i was interested in an old electric scooter for free. I said of course yes, and it was looking like your scooter but yellow plastic instead of the blue. Same wheels. Looked inside and same setup as yours with 2 old 12v 12ah lead batteries i am trying to revive now. Anyway, i am tempted to get a new lithium battery and i am also curious how this scooter with same hardware would react if i installed a 36v battery instead? And i also actually have a 48v battery for my electric bike wich i have bought a 60v battery for instead. HOW and what do i need to do to have this on a 36v battery and also if i am gonna try a 48v battery wich i already own? Is there some stepdown stuff i can use? I am curious about 36v straight to this scooter plug straight in, im sure you have tried it huh? How did it perform? Any tips are great welcome. Of course the cheapest tips on 36g and especially on 48v as i have that already.
If you get a 36v lithium, you’ll need a 36v controller. If your motor is a 24v, I suggest rockin’ 36v max. You can OverVolt it to 48v with a battery and controller but the motor will burn out eventually. When I do double OverVolt on scooters or bikes, I don’t ride them crazy long. If you want to ride. Just do 36v. Motor won’t last forever overvolting but if and when it does, you can get a 36v motor and the battery and controller will work with it.💯🍻
@@KruseNStuff awesome! Great feedback. But do you know if a controller can take example 48v and then change that to 24 or 36v when it sends that to the motor? I have both a scooter that are 24v and a 48v bicycle and I want if possible using my old 48v battery on the 24v scooter and then my new Li ion 60v battery on my 48v bicycle. Thank you

If you have a 36v 500w controller, you can up your controller to a 36v 1000w if you don’t want to OverVolt and just gear it up. That will make it faster. Or you could OverVolt it to 48v w/ a 48v 1000w controller. And gear it up😁. I suggest pairing with a lithium battery over lead acid. That alone is better.
Hey so I got mine up and running it’s just 36 volt 1000 watt controller. I got the throttle setup with it also and a new battery from btr. But I see on the throttle display there is a little battery symbol and the bars are empty as if the battery is dead but it’s fully charged and it works fine. Does yours show that the battery has charge ??
Hmmm. May be a bad throttle. Or one of the pins possible bent causing bad connection. But weird it still works. I’d say try disconnecting the throttle and checking the 5 pins. If they are nice & straight, then may be a bad throttle. You could write Tom and explain what you did to me. See if it’s a known issue with him and what he recommends or will do about it. He’s a good dude.💯🍻
Yeah but after looking at your videos the same little battery indicator that you have on the throttle doesn’t show it full look at your battery indicator the thing shows that it’s empty I don’t get it
So he says that the green bars are actually your battery life and that little battery symbol just tells you the battery is hooked up. That is weird though because I see that speed reducer actually makes the bars go up and down so what’s the battery indicator ?
@@johndeer9721 maybe make a video. Set it to private and send me the link. I’ll try and help you out. Because I don’t know what throttle you have and you just confused me with this last one. I’d have to see what yours looks like.

Hi can anyone give me some advice, ive just got a brushed 36v 1000w speed controller and it has a sport wire, am i correct in saying that it gose to a rocker on/off switch or a push switch like a horn button 🤔🤔
Motor is in reverse and it has a freewheel. Change your motor polarity. So basically switch your motors positive and negative wire. Then replug in and retry.💯🍻

How does the stock razor 24v motor hold up to the 48 volt power?
I would stick to 36v with stock 24v motor. You can run on 48v but you won’t be able to go too far or for very long. But it will work.💯🍻
