• when it comes to copy & pasting the milk thistle files, do NOT replace the full folders. i know that seems easier, but you will accidentally remove important items from the game if you do it this way. copy and paste the individual files as seen in the video
• if you want to go back to the original game’s lighting and uninstall milk thistle, just repair your game
For me I had to press Shift+Backspace to get Gshade to open up the first time instead of Shift+fn+f2, just thought I'd share in case anyone had any issues opening it :)
hi please can u tell me how to redo the sims 4 data folder areas back to what it was? i didnt back up the old files and i want to go back to the normal lighting instead of milk thistle!
@sandyrara right click the sims 4 in your game library and click “repair game” that should revert it back to its original settings! :)

How to do a downloaded preset for a photo taken in the game?Even though the filter is turned on in the game, the photos come out without the filter Down reshade 😢😢😢😢😮

I tried for days to get reshade to work and finally gave up and felt so defeated looking at my game compared to these beautiful aesthetics of other peoples games. Then I remembered gshade and one what a life saver. My love for the sims 4 was returning and I am happier than ever with my game

Hey guys! Idk if anyone else couldn't figure out on how to open gshade. 4.1.1 will pop up at the top of your sims for to do a tutorial of it. You can skip the tutorial or go through it. Then you can continue on with falling the video! Good luck and thank you for the helps on my first time with gshade!!

the only issue im having is turning the blurring on, I can't seem to get that right. I turned off edge smoothing and so far all the shaders and everything else is working perfect !!

Heyy!! I wanted to say thank you for this reshade its the first one I have ever tried! and been using for like a 6 months!. But I was curious if this is a reshade then why in another video they have a reshade application for reshades?
does this mean I can only use the reshade that you provided in the gshade application? Can I use any reshades in the gshade application?
Like if I where to do your other watermellon reshade, do I just follow the steps here again and place into the folder mentioned in the video? Or do I need to download the reshade application? I am hoping I can download ANY reshade/ghsade and beable to place into my game through the ghsade application :(

Hey! loved this video so much 💗💗 thank you! Quick question - If I wanted to have a preset and have a toggle key for adof to turn on and off for that actual preset, do you know how to save that specific shader for the preset? is it performance toggle key?
you would right click on adof and there should be a section that says “click to set keyboard shortcut”. from there, choose any key you’d like and it should save for that specific preset only. if you want it for other presets, just change their shortcut as well ☺️

I love this! Only problem tho is now my game is super bright and i have bad eyesight and im now kinda struggling to see options menu and interactions, any way to fix this??

the lighting mods are HIGHLY recommended so everything looks similar to the pictures BUT they are optional!

For some reason GShade wouldn't work for me, so I finally did it with ReShade. My game looks so good now! It's so soft, and there's no annoying bloom everywhere! Thank you for your beautiful preset, my videos and screenshots will be amazing now
IDK if anyone has the same problem but I have Horse Ranche, which is EP14. But it doesn't appear in my Delta map? Do I need to fix this?

Ive tried gshade on my laptop before, but unfortunately, it lowers the performance of my game tremendously :( My laptop is just not fit to handle it haha. But as soon as i get a gaming pc, i'll def come back to this video for help.
I got an acer nitro 5 and it handles running my game on ultra graphics with gshade. I have to use a cooling pad to help keep it cooler but it runs really well. It’s semi budget friendly too. I’ve seen other simmers get it so that’s why I got it. I was playing on a MacBook before.

im not sure :( i think that started happening after a recent update and i personally haven’t updated gshade
When I open the overlay in Sims 4 and select the path for the reshade, the reshade doesn't appear in the folder. :(
If you have Windows 10 or above, Just copy paste the two folders there as it's gonna auto replace everything for you while keep other files that didn't get replaced there untouched

so i was having a hard time with installing gshade its okay to have gshade in steam like will it still work i could fine sims 4 thing u had and when i clicked right for sims for it didnt show me the same thing so and when i went into files hit sims 4 and it said UCL not found i tryied look for it over A hour
so i just put with steam and now am kinda scard it wont work i it did for u
yeah so if you downloaded the sims with steam, you’d have to do it with steam and it should work fine!
I downloaded the Gshade and I accepted everything, but after that no matter what I do, the select your lanuage thing won't pop up. I tried to delete the file and it won't let me, please help!

Unless I missed you mentioning it, in which case, I apologize! but I think it's important to mention that whenever you repair your game, it WILL reset your lighting overrides! I am not so sure if a normal game update will do as well, but repairing the game will reset it❤

Thanks for this tutorial, I've just switched over from playing Sims 4 on PS5 to playing on a laptop, and i'm starting to get used to modding. I'm also very computer illiterate lol. I want to try gshade in my game, but before I install it could you tell me what you do with it during an update? Do you need to uninstall or update it as well, if so how do you go about it. I've tried to search for this information with no luck. TIA
if you’re taking about when the sims updates, you won’t have to do anything :) if gshade needs to update, it’ll let you know!

if your game is lagging a lot even with some settings turned off, then unfortunately, your pc may not be strong enough to run gshade :(
Hey! Sorry to bother :) but gshade ruined, and disallowed me to open my game. i dont want to do one of those long-ass tutorials to uninstall / delete it. The message would say : Unable to start:
Cant run the Sims 4 with the video card in this system. Please check that the video card meets the minimum specifications and that the latest video drivers are installed

yeah they should work for laptops too as long as it’s a windows
Quick question is the lighting mod aka the thistle mod required for G-Shade to work or to look like your sims? im honestly not bothered by the aesthetics of the background and it seems like too much work just for the background to be pretty 😅 im more focused on the sim itself 🙂
no it’s not required! if you want the sims to look similar to mine, look into custom content :)
@@malixa oohhh so would the first 2 mods + Gshade + ur preset be enough for my game to also look like yours without needing thistle mod? I have cc but i loved your Preset, it’s the only time i’ve loved G-Shade
ohhhh then yeah, the milk thistle lighting mod isn't 100% required, it may looking slightly off, but it should still look mostly the same!

will milk thistle work if you have other lighting overrides?
if you have other lighting mods like sunblind, then it will not work. if it’s lighting mods like no glo & no blu, it will work :)

make sure when you’re in game, the program is on the right folder you put the preset in. so for me it’s in gshade presets folder then next in the reshade presets folder
