I wish they'd make a base game thermostat that does basically nothing. You'd click on it and click "view temperature" and then your sim would just look at it and walk away. Not do anything with it.

a mega hard version of this challenge: one has to use all the packs BUT can only use one item from each pack. So if you've put in a thermostat, you cannot use anything else from Seasons. I guess you could use multiples of the same item, let's say multiple chairs (in the same swatch).

James did this a while ago. But he did it 2 years ago so there was a lot less to deal with. Video description says 44 packs! We're already at 72?! He managed to do it on a much smaller house, and using the same object, but allowed himself the ability to change the swatches.

Stipulation: You can use multiples of each packs' chosen item.
So, you can line the kitchen with multiple of the same Island Living counter, but not use a matching wallpaper.
A Sulani horse ranch for beach rides would be sick though.
A mermaid/cowgirl couple's dreamhouse! (And the kind of theme combination that this virtual dollhouse simulator deserves.)

I think it's because she made the house big and didn't limit herself to basegame/just one pack. She needs to do this more often!

I feel like she has never seen a different house type in her real life. Like every house looks the same in the US. I always add a ton of balconys or a balcony which does not stick out (with side windows, because this is what I'm used to). A basement is a must

if you want to include the CAS kits, put down up to 10 mannequins from Get to Work and dress each of them in the different CAS kits.
And the lot will crash, lol.

crying the green roof looked so good and different and then it was the typical boring brown 😭 we got so close
My heart actually sank when she got rid of the green roof and switched most of the stone for the beige siding
Also still not sure that she put something else from snowy escape in when she did remove it ....

Cool build! I have a suggestion, you could try this challenge again, but this time, you have to furnish a house using all the packs, and can only use one item per pack. Walls, floors, doors, and maybe windows don’t count toward the total.
I think Vixella or Plumbella did this challenge and I think it would be real fun to see Simsie try it! You can use the same item multiple times (like the same painting in different swatches) but no other item from that pack.

I tried “Every room contains an item from EVERY pack,” and the house was a mansion with 19 rooms. Now THAT was hard. Would love to see you do that, or maybe “Every room contains one item from each (wheel spin to choose Expansion Pack, Game Pack, Stuff Pack, or Kit).”

Honestly even if people aren't super excited at all about Star Wars the Journey to Batuu had some great Build items and great lights. I also really love that statue and some of the chalices and trophies to adorn my occult places like the RoM school, and display cases for explorer sims without it looking very sci fi.
It's just so funny to me how out of everything in the pack about starwars, the thing simmers love the most is the lights and the stone paths😂
I really want to have it bc I wanna build star wars builds, I mean they are gonna be located in newcrest but still, if I get to build my ocs family house I'll be happy enough.
I think that Journey to Batuu and Strangerville go together quite well, I built destroyed restaurant the other day, and while I'm terrible builder it came quite cool. And of course I used the crashed plane in Strangerville, because I had not a single clue how it should look on the outside, and if you have no outside then you have no issue 😂
I loved this video! Watching you go through all the packs and find items that you normally wouldn’t place together was enjoyable to watch.

For me personally, I absolutely love the clock that comes with bowling. I like how it can look both out of place and like it belongs at the same time.

Build challenge - randomize one expansion, game, stuff pack and kit that you have to use for the same build BUT you have to maintain at least some of the vibe of each (ie can’t just use a rug or wallpaper, not a criticism at all, just think it could be fun to see a maximalist beach house for werewolves w/a bowling alley or smth like that lol). Love your videos!
Batuu has a lot of build items I thought I would never use for my regular builds, but after trying them it turns out they were exactly what I had been looking for, for years lol. I especially like the stairs from that pack.

Challange Idea : You can only use one item per pack (exception for base game). Example - Stove from one pack, the sink from another, the bottom cabinets from yet another and top cabinets would count as another item and cannot be from the same pack as the bottom cabinets.
A richy rich family mansion would work perfectly for this challenge. Think Lara Croft's mansion from the newer movies. Like a generational wealth type of estate with lots of old stuff and newer stuff put on top of it, huge floor plan and all sorts of hidden rooms and nooks. It can have a home gym, stables, a huge library with more of a jungle vibe with trofies and stuff, a secret laboratory in the basement on top of all sorts of regular rooms for all generations of this family.
Build challenge where you pick an item from every pack first and then have to use it all in the build that you make without changing your choices!
Syd Mac has a video where she put an item from each pack (excluding kits) in every ROOM! That was a really fun and chaotic video
Now you can do a family with every one cas item from every pack! 😂

00:54 Island Living & Bowling are 2 of the most compatible packs Kayla. Mid-Century Modern, Googie & Tiki Culture are basically PB&J for architecture & style. Jeez you need to branch out.
Even if I was rich, I wouldn't buy even *HALF* of all the packs, LMAO.

this was so fun!! maybe to make it more challenging, next time you have to use a major feature from all pack i.e. a horse ranch, the photography stuff, the bowling alley, etc. that eluld be chaotic

I have an idea for a build challenge! You should spin a wheel with all the packs, but instead of rooms, the wheel decides what part of Build and Buy has to be from that pack. Like, you spin for wallpaper, and whichever pack you get, all the wallpapers have to be from it. The same with flooring, roofing, beds, tables, etc 😂

I LOVED watching this build! I really liked the beige, wood, and cool tones color scheme. Big houses with lots of skill stuff are also fun to play in

I don’t know if anyone else has suggested this, but you COULD use the kits in this build by having a walk-in closet that uses the mannequins from Get To Work, and styling them with the CAS Kits.
I was hoping you'd go funky and give the house a basement where a vampiric roommate / family member lived XD its what I would have done, might have made for a fun household too
Imagine looking for houses without owning any packs and finding this one just to realize it’s 72 packs-
To make it more of a challenge maybe you could make a house using important/iconic objects from each pack. For example, a super secret basement using stuff from all the occult related packs.. vampires, spooky stuff, paranormal, realm of magic, werewolf etc. And a spa or sauna, a bowling alley... Stuff like that lol

I honestly love the my first pet stuff because I own pet rats and can have them in the game ❤ but IRL if you get pet rats, please get at least 2, they need a companion. I wish we could get multiple in the sims too 😢

Luxury party is really the worst - that seat is the only salvageable part of the whole pack. I don't understand why they don't give that one a re-release.
I am pretty sure this is exactly why builders (yourself included 🙃) trip over into using "so many packs" all the time. You think they don't go well together, but they are designed to work together much better than you might realize on the face of it with careful swatch selection. Trying to find gallery builds without all packs is the main reason I now own all packs... gallery filtering is terrible for lots for anything other than "base game only".
It's the Kits blowing up the number; there are 25 already and 10 of those are CAS. 9:24 The builders divide - either you love Industrial or your love Pastel Pop. I'm Camp Industrial. Also, looking forward to the comments in the gallery complaining about too many packs used.
Now make the family using every pack!!!

I don't have all the packs, def not some of the newer packs, but this makes me want to try using all my packs in a build. It'd be neat to try to use all the packs while making apartments, cause each apartment can have it's own personality.
I think that this would be really cool to do every year to see how all of the new packs add to the house

Removing the green roof in the beginning removed Snowy Escape and she didn't put it back on the to- do- list but the rug in the guest room was from snowy escape, I think, so she still used it.

You could make it more challenging by needing 1 thing from each kit, 2 from stuff packs, 3 from game packs, 4 from expansions and 5 from base game.
