LOVE this vid brother, I'm 57 now and don't chunk fish like I did when I was younger. I used to drift live herring in the canal back in the day and used to surf chunk my dead ones in the spring in Westport, MA. As the season progressed it was chunk pogie and mackerel the same way you do. Nothing sounded SWEETER than my Shimano Baitrunner SCREAMIN' in the rod holder. Many COW Stripers and MONSTER blues credited to chunkin'. Keep doing what you do, it's AWESOME. Thank you for posting vids like this. It TRULY brings me back to my youthful years, I'm just glad to see youthful anglers such as yourself fishing the OLD SCHOOL WAYS!!! KUDOS MY BROTHER!!!
@@Fish-RI Thanks bro!!! I know you love the YAK but please keep those chunking vids coming. Big fan of your channel. You personally influenced me in creating my own fishing channel dedicated to my family, check it out if you wish.
Chunkin that bunkah can always yield different results I’ve had stripers blues sometimes flounder dogfish skates and once a juvenile thresher shark off that shit
When I saw the title of this video, I thought this might be the first one I could watch and not be jealous. But you proved me wrong again. No sympathies from me brother. Just kidding I look forward to your videos. Keep them coming
I striper fish in Rhode Island, all summer/spring I’ve had 2 stripers, both tiny tiny. I’m throwing everything at them, can’t seem to figure them out. High tide too
Surf has been rough for me too down in New Haven, Ct. Spring was hot then it just died off, guys are getting 40” just off shore. I think the water temps rised too fast too soon and the fish pushed into deeper water
@@josedavid9323 it’s near block island , the secret is to use mummies and squid. So you put a slice of squid on the hook first then put a mummie so it looks like the mummie is eating the squid.

Depends on where you fishing at. They prepare Scups in some places, others squid.
What rod and reel?
I’m in south east CT and the fishing has been god awful this year
Same in Massachusetts
Its been terrible from shore
I went to a secret spot and caught a 25 inch flounder
Where that atttt
