    Stock is so good I can't believe it, muffler del is great but sacrifices the quiet mode... i live in an apartment complex definitely need that lol

      @WTFCRLT1  3 роки тому +5

      Agreed but quiet mode doesn’t really make a significant difference. I went with the NPP for the same reason, however since the car doesn’t really get quieter, I just leave it in sport. Thanks for the comment!

    Honestly i like the stock dual setup with muffler, its just cleaner with a good sound. The crackling affecting of the muffler delete will get old real quick. I like the green on the LT1 though.

      Me too man I’ve never been the biggest fan of muffler deletes however with this 6.2 and it’s 4 cats and resonators, the car still sounds really clean with a nice volume upgrade compared to the NPP. The muffler deletes also sound less raspy If that’s the sound you’re going for. The green color is beautiful too. Thank you for the support!

    Good review! I too have a 2020 LT1. Just wanted to mention the NPP is NOT the same as the GM performance exhaust as you mentioned. GM PERFORMANCE exhaust is a cat-back system for the dual outlet only not available with NPP or ground effects 😏

    I opted to not get NPP. Had it on old SS. The lack of any gains was the reason, however the valve is missed, my neighbors hate me. I’m ordering the GMPP N10 exhaust which is Chevrolet Perormance, built by Borla for GM.

      That’s gonna sound insane let me hear it when it’s done! I went with the NPP simply so I could have it on my payment plan instead of just dishing out at least $1,000 on an aftermarket system. The aftermarket systems almost always sound better. Appreciate your input!

    He will have issues soon with the 275’s on those undersized wheels. For one he’s not getting full tire contact patch to the ground. And uneven wear will occur rapidly. Actually 9.5” is the correct wheel for a 275+-/ 10mm up or down. Same as I stated below for a 8.5” wheel. I have experimented with this stuff, 8 yrs ago while also working discount tire. I did roll runs, 0-80 and 1/4 mi. The grip will be not much better than if it was a stock width tire. A +10 mm, 255 would be the best for grip, -10 mm for better tire longevity and improved mpg’s. Trust me on this.

    I have the regular dual exhaust one on each side, do u think i should do a muffer delete or resonator delete?

    • @WTFCRLT1
      @WTFCRLT1  3 роки тому +1

      Muffler deletes sound pretty good on the lt1.. if too much noise isn’t a concern, I’d do a muffler and secondary cat delete.. for around $200-250 if even that you’ll basically have the same exhaust note as the 6.2 with corsa extremes in my opinion.

    If you do not get the dual exhaust mode option are your valves always open? Do you still get driving modes?

    Can you still use the different modes with the muffler delete? Like stealth, sport and touring?

    • @WTFCRLT1
      @WTFCRLT1  2 роки тому +1

      There are ways to do a muffler delete and keep the NPP, however this owner never re attached the NPP so it was just a straight muffler delete at all times. He’s got a crazy setup now haha catless headers and straight pipes check it out @nigerianvenom

    I have a LT1 with NPP exhaust. Is it possible to have a muffler and resonator delete but keep the valve switch so that I can switch between quiet and sport?

    • @matt6951
      @matt6951 2 роки тому

      No, that doesn’t even make sense.

    • @johna5225
      @johna5225 2 роки тому

      You can have the muffler delete and resonator (secondary cat) delete and still keep the NPP dual mode exhuast feature. The muffler shop will probably charge you more because of custom piping to make that work. Short answer to your question though is yes

    • @The_Garnetts
      @The_Garnetts 4 місяці тому

      @@matt6951 you most definitely can do a muffler delete and still retain NPP lol

    Dont be stupid and put 275's on 8.5" inch wheels. Proper size are 255's. Too wide or to thin tires will lengthen stopping, slower acceketstiin, quicker tread ware.

    Can you run 275/40/20 on the lt1 ?

    • @WTFCRLT1
      @WTFCRLT1  2 роки тому +1

      This Lt1 now has a drag setup but it had the 275’s on for almost a year I believe with no issues at all. It’s doable I just don’t personally like taking things past their recommendation

    • @darrylrumph5315
      @darrylrumph5315 2 роки тому

      Ok I was just wondering because the green one has 275/35/20 and I just bought a rear set that is 275/40/20 I was just wondering if it’s gonna be a difference since I have a bigger width ? Or am I gonna run into any problems and I agree with what you said lol I just can’t hook with the stock tires .

    • @Stupidboi1
      @Stupidboi1 2 роки тому

      I wouldn’t go beyond 265’s the reason is traction. 255’s are best and as you go bigger you lose trie cai tact patch because the wheel is still 8.5” wide. With 255’s your using much more of the treads surface inline with the rims edge. The wider you go, that tread is just being curved out and up. Beyond 255s wear will increase by 25-40% too.

  • @Stupidboi1
    @Stupidboi1 2 роки тому

    And you have to be beyond dumb to put a 275 tire on a wheel made for 245’s. Improper fit and poor traction plus much faster wear of the tire. 275’s should not be on anything smaller than a 9” or 9.5” wheel. You can generally as a safe rule go 10mm higher or 10mm lower in width, so 245 is Oem, do a 255 if you want more meat.
