Wow....You're the only other person whose ever mentioned the gas pedal. I thought it was just me! I went to buy one, got in and realized the gas pedal is hooked to the floor of the car. Every other car I know of springs from the top which doesn't sound like a big deal and many probably wouldn't care but for me, it was pretty weird. Even the sales guy that was with me never had never noticed it. It was a weird feeling that made me pause about buying the car. I'm still vacillating about buying one for this one reason wondering if I can overcome this issue? Tires - I changed out the tires on my Scat-Pak Challenger to Firestone Firehawks after so many people on the forums were saying how good they were. I was always a Michelin guy but took a chance. GREAT TIRES! They ride really well, they're sticky and quiet. Try 'em, you'll like em!

I like the floor mounted gas pedal than the hanging one. It just feels more comfortable esp during long trips as it conforms to my foot and that is just my preference.

By far my biggest complaint is the length of those massive doors. If you can't open it completely because you're in a parking lot, it makes it much harder getting in and out. Other than that, I love mine. Gotta add a wing on that trunk tho.

100% agreed. However almost every 2 door car will have obnoxiously large doors so that should be expected from the jump. The wing would also be nice I agree with that too. Thanks for the comment!

Floating accelerator pedals or as you called top mounted are designed for low performance vehicles that do not require exact throttle response finesse. Same accelerator pedal is in the 6-speed manual and when all traction control and stability assist is turned off you appreciate the bottom hinge mounted accelerator. Makes Auto crossing much more exciting.

Yes Continental Extreme Contact Sports. They are Summer only as well.only draw back is the will look worn after 10k miles or so. But they still have alot of life. They have a D and W. Carved into the tread when the letter is gone it means be more careful in the Wet Or Dry. Once the D for dry is gone you're on slicks😋 the firestones are good. Just not 400+ torque/Hp at WOT good. I'm doing BMR sway bars and end links and lowering springs soon

Strange that the newer 2021 LT1 package came with only that size. I just purchased an 5th gen LT1 V6 and that came with an option for 18 inch or 19 inch rims, giving you a bit more width for the 275s I believe it has. So you should be able to get the rims/tires for it. I don't see why they wouldn't have it on the newer models.

I'm a senior, my wife and I decided to treat ourselves a couple of months ago to a new sports car. After carefully shopping around the choice was 2021 1LT Camaro. Oh I've had a few cars in my day ,, my all time favourite was my 1966 Ford Fairlane 500 XL. But our new Camaro ,, WOW ,,, if there was anything I would put a negative sticker on it would be trunk space,, that's it.
We have the Riverside blue metallic ,, beautiful colour, we have the RS package, 20" wheels, 10 speed automatic with paddle shifters and the V6 engine provides us with more than sufficient power.
And to compare ,, I did test drive a 2021 Eco-Boost Mustang, simply didn't like it and the options were comparable to the Camaro with two exceptions. First of all the price, $ 3799.00 more expensive than the Camaro and secondly I simply could justify paying well in excess of $ 40,000 for a four cylinder sports car.
Not knocking the Mustang at all it's a proven machine no doubt about that but plain and simple, when it came to " bang for the buck the Camaro was miles ahead ,, it's a great car to drive ,,

There are not alot of pieces to be pulled and wrapped so it should be fairly reasonable to have it done or if your handy do it yourself ..but I would leave it to the guys that have wrapped 50 camaro's

Glad to see Chevrolet offer this option. I rent cars all the time and my first drive with the 2020 Camaro V6 was an absolute eye opening blast. The V6 in that car is impressive as hell and I drove it all week enjoying ever bit of it. Fast forward a few months and they threw me the keys to a bonafide Camaro SS out in SFO...I took the thing back day 2 and traded for a vert Ecoboost Mustang. Oh I know the SS is fast as fast can be, but they ride like shit for actual road driving. No matter the setting the thing beat me and my wife to death. To me the V8 in a LT without the race suspension would be the best of both worlds...IMHO of course.

The only problem with nitto, is I had a friend with a scat pack and he had more problems putting power down with nittos compared to the factory all seasons that the car came with. I have a black 2020 LT1 manual. Love it. Agreed paint is soft. I got the PPF. The arm rest is a nearly unusable design with opening and closing. The seats are more for comfort and I'm 5' 10/180lbs, have no issues. Gas pedal gives me no issues. Oh and tires.... What do you want? Sticky or a treadlife warranty? Sport 4s's are very very damn expensive but good traction all weather and 30k warranty. If you care for better performance in dry and can still get by ok in wet with no treadlife warranty look at the Goodyear Supercar 3's especially for road course use. These are made for the Camaro man.... literally. Both are not cheap. Nittos are not bad in dry especially for drag racing but not as good as the others mentioned on a road course....but cheaper $$. Idk just do research on the tires and get what suits YOUR driving style.... and wallet. Supercar 3's are in my future with wider wheels and a road course. When it's colder I will put the stock wheels/tires back on. Indiana weather.... Good luck. Tire research can take a while!

    • @WTFCRLT1
      @WTFCRLT1 3 роки тому

I wasn’t really considering tread life warranty because manufacturers will usually see the vehicle I’m driving and just assume the tread didn’t last because of aggressive driving (which they’d be right). My main options so far have been Indy 500’s since they’re really highly praised while being about half the cost of 4s’s, my biggest question has really been what width to go with bc come ppl say no more than 265 and others say you can do a 305😂 thanks again man always appreciate your support!

    • @Chad_7777

Well they MAY be saying no more than 265 tires on your stock 8.5 inch wheels, which I would not do as it sacrifices cornering stability. If you get wider wheels then yes 305 tire is the max width without rubbing and having to move a certain wire harness from rubbing the tire. Hope that helps.

Honestly this is the perfect car for anyone just looking for a V8 and don’t want to spend a shit ton on any other V8.
Yea you can only fit a certain tire on the stock rims, but that can be changed up.
Interior quality doesn’t really matter either, as long as it’s better than Chrysler quality then it’s already miles ahead.
Seat bolstering is also another thing that can be changed for fairly cheap. Any sports seat from Recaro or really anything.
With any car that you love, just be careful with the paint and being around the car.
I test drove 2 camaros and the floor mounted pedal didn’t bother me at all.

Definitely agree.. none of these dislikes would keep me from buying the car again, I just wanted to talk about stuff that’s just not all that perfect with the car. Thanks for the support man I really appreciate it!

@@WTFCRLT1 I really haven’t seen people go over what the options are on the infotainment system, actual 0-60 times and videos of them testing the timing.
