Marshal Palmer I have actually moved to ForeFlight. Much more information on one display. I watched your videos before I got this one. I hope to see post more minimax videos in the future. Safe flying my friend.
Oh yeah I remember,,, Thanks so much Gonna check out the rest of your vids and check out the Foreflight as well. Likewise and keep the skies blue!!! And that is a GREAT Mini Max!!!!
I am in the process of building my own mini-max but can't decide in the engine. I see you have the fantastic 1/2vw engine. What size us it and do you recommend it versus the popular rotax engines? Also what is your cruising speed?
Buildable RC The half Volkswagen sounds great and burned very little gas. This engine has only 30 HP. So it climbed out very slow. But it cruised awesome. If you are building a 103 legal ultralight? I would highly recommend it. If not, I would defiantly recommend one of the Rotaxs (447 or bigger) They burn twice the amount of gas. But in my opinion that extra power is worth it.
Darrell Massengale yes I am building as an ultralight in Canada. I love the sound of the half VW. Seems to perform well. I do a lot of commuting between cities for my job and having a plane that can cruise at or above 60mph would be so much more fun.
Cool that is the same program I use for naving my minimax, Cool Plane and happy skies to you!!!

Buildable RC Tennessee 54x22
Go rotax 503. 1/2 vws aren’t reliable.
