Hey Steve , after watching you race on your awesome track , I had to dig out and build my Scalextric Digital Platinum set. Non wireless. I got it on a ping pong table that I separated in the middle to make it longer. It’s a 5x11 maximizer so far. I separated the table and Bridged the gap with the track and support it. Them ping pong tables are flimsy as hell but I modded it . Took 3 days to set it up in the basement lol. Tried it out and it’s fast boy oh boy. I was going to say that Ferrari 296 is nice. I have a Carrera Evolution 599XX on the shelf , 100% Hot Wheels colab, yeah it has that big sticker on the case.
Nice car. I have spent considerable amount of effort/money getting back into HO/AFX and should have looked at the larger scale tracks first. I had never considered since I have never had any experience in the larger scale tracks. What track/set would you start with if you were starting out today? Thanks for your videos and I hope Sheryl is doing well with her fur babies, miss your races, but family comes first..
Hi thanks, a Set to start with well that depends on what style do you want normal analog slot car set that works like your HO set one car in each lane or a digital set that lets you run upto 6 cars in each lane? with digital though you can't run the analog cars unless you buy a expensive converter box for your track or get another analog powerbase and always swap them in and out to run both types of cars. analog is cheaper and has many more cars available to purchase so that to me is a plus. I love my policar track I would say get a policar track set they do make a nice size two lane set and some 4 lane ones that you can buy and make a huge 2 lane track out of it if you only want a 2 lane. They don't come with cars so you would need to buy your own and with little mods to your HO cars you can run them on the policar track also and they run awesome on it if you seen my ho videos running them on my track. Hope this helps. any more ?'s let me know
@@BSslotcars Thanks for the quick detailed reply. I have been watching lots of videos and is hard to process whats best to head into. Your videos showing all the different scale cars you can run is great information, but the mods are another evolution to learn, especially for the grandkids. We went for speed getting a few Rooster Racing S7's and they are too fast causing me motion sickness symptoms on my 138" 2 lane with several high banks. LOL pathetic isn't it. I looked at Policar after seeing your videos for the last several month's but will have to look into them further. Thanks again for the reply.
@@JDL_2020 He he he yeah one things for sure the 1/32 cars are slower and you can actually see what your driving! a good reason why I love the policar track is because the tracks surface texture you really don't need to buy upgrade tires because rubber tires work best with it,
Are you going to check the magnets/shims are installed correctly?
Yep for sure! But I think it always is on the 1/32 cars but it's worth looking in the 1/24 also because you just never know! Thanks for watching.
