My magnets too were like that. I also tested each side and put the strongest pull facing the track. The tires are really slick on these cars. Im switching to silicones as soon as slot car corner gets um in stock. All in all pretty fast Steve. These cars are beauties! 😎 Later 🫡
Don't know why some cars have the magnets in wrong now? these nascar tires look nice and grip really good on my track from being run right out of the box. I think with a little more use or a fast tire true they will stick like glue. They are beauties! Happy New Year!

They are great. Due to being affordable I have quite a few of these Go sets and cars. I do no magnet racing with these. Remove the magnets, add weight, tune the tires, connect less power, 8- to 10 volts. Then they are excellent to race.

I don't know why these carrera cars are coming now with the magnet shims in the chassis first then the magnets though? they never were like this? now you have to check every car out and put them back in with the magnets lower in the chassis so the cars run better.

Don't know why in some cars they put the magnets in like this now? It don't really matter to much as you always have to take these larger scales apart to lube them up. Thanks for watching Happy New Year!

I have the set of nascars.I run slot it cars( the same company as policar) . I see you like to tune your cars. Slot it and nsr are for!
I did my share of slot car tuning I had my own ho slot car club with three 4 lane ho tracks and also had a huge 4 lane carrera track we raced in my club and I raced at many club tracks for many years.
Are these Carrera race set pretty much the best around. That's all I've seen on UA-cam as a child I got a new race set every year... jackie Stewart, AFX tracks, lane changing cars race sets this brings back old memories
Hi depends what your going to do with your track? do you want digital cars so you can run upto 6 cars on a two lane track and change lanes? or do you want a analog track like you had when you were a kid that you can only run one car in each lane? also what scale you looking for? I have policar track I can run all the slot car scales on it with little modification to the HO scale cars and you can do the same for carrera track also but if you get digital you can't run non digital cars on your digital track unless you buy a expensive digital to analog switcher or swap out your digital power base track to a analog one when wanting to run analog cars. if you want digital I would say if you have the room carrera sets are the best way to go. Hope this helps if you have any more ?'s let me know.

WOW, things sure have changed analog/digital, 6 cars on a 2 lane track, magnets on the cars i was wondering how are they able to go that fast around a corner... nothing like that in my day 😁 .. i may have to do some reading update myself before I make any decisions
@@Sirrichz28 Cool! for one thing the 1/32 and 1/24 cars are much slower and drive more realistic than the HO cars... us older guy's seem to like them over HO pocket rocket slot cars.
@BSslotcars there's a video you put out about 3 hours ago with A C7R Corvette. What size is that... that was moving pretty fast.

Even with the magnet mods still tricky to drive, I dread to think what it would drive like stock.

Nice car mate . They are all over the Internet lately..Carrera must have sold a ton of them already .Steve what is your present timing system/app please?
They seem to be really good and I like the tires on them as they are pretty wide. I have that scalextric arc air hooked up to my policar track but I am using the magic app to do the lap timing, scalextric supposed to be coming out with a new better racing app also and another famous one everyone uses for carrera the same guy is making a app for the scalextric systems also. "Supertires" make excellent Silicone tires for a better grip.
I know I worked for them and I worked on 75% of the 1/32 scale tires and was the one to get them to start making 1/32 scale super tires 👍👍
i got 3 of the nascars and all 3 had magnets in wrong? are they doing this on purpose?
They never did them like this just started seeing this last year and on the new stuff this year... Funny you mention this I am posting up a video soon showing how to check and fix the way the magnets go in them. Thanks for looking
