I never "made fire" with those sticks in paper packs till I got a big splinter in my lip. That pain was the worst...as was removal! I'll make fire thanks.
Exactly what I came to say! Those cheap chopsticks have so many splinters, it takes forever to get them off. I try not to go so vigorously that it's noticed by others and/or spontaneously combusts lol but it takes a good couple minutes!
As I get older I realize. I AM PAYING THE BILL! If I want Ketchup on my Steak, or to put my elbows on the table? That is my choice. The Customer is always right in matters of taste.
This is fun to watch as a spoon carver, there's not silly rules with spoons, we don't have sticks up our asses. (We have spoons up our asses, from spooning)
Being genuine: if someone tried to enforce even one of these to me durring a meal I would insult their ability to think outside the rules imposed by the dead and foolish.
I thought the whole "where you hold your chopsticks" was a marriage thing. The further away you hold them, the further from your natal home you'll marry off to. I'm not even sure where i heard it. 😅
Good morning ☺️☕, I watched your video yesterday or the other day on learning how to hold chopsticks to be able to use, I had to take pictures step by step in order to keep practicing, I have the first step down like I'm painting but when it comes to the second chopstick and the ring finger something goes wrong😂😂😂😂😂
Ive heard rubbing chopsticks together is rude however ive also heard that its a complete lie and if you go into any restaurant in Asia you will find people doing it
Thats not completely true. You are correct if said establishment gives high quality chop sticks to use. But even the japanese rub together those cheap chopsticks you break in half. Its done to lessen the chances of splinters. So even jet is not 100% correct on this.
Why to even use chopsticks now, we have proper cutlery now. Understood that there was a time when North Asians don't have cutlery so they used wooden sticks. Why to complicate things when we have easier options.
I have no perceptions as to how or why or what any of it means in regards to how someone uses a piece of flatware. So why would I want to use chopsticks and be judged by someone f*** chopsticks, literally they were the only means for peasants to eat because they we're lacking the sophistication necessary to facilitate the manufacturer of flatware let alone silverware
You don’t want to join ancestors; it’s not time! 😂😂😂
I would argue that my ancestors love to be invited to our dinner every evening.
But doing so the universe perceives as you want to join them tho 👀
@@user-sy3vh4eu6g sooner or later, bro. Sooner or later
I love to learn about cultures I like the chopsticks sending food to the Past loved ones🥰🤗👍🏻
Me too. It would be awesome. There is actually a UA-cam Channel that has videos on "How Things Are Made"

And it's actually much harder to use chopsticks close to the front. Most ppl learning automatically grab it up front, but it's way harder that way!
Good stuff 👌
Sporks! I need sporks! Sporks rock!
Thank you- you are a great cook
I hold chopsticks so high I don’t even hold them
protip if you hold the chopsticks together and roll them between your hands together it gets the spliters off less violently
As I get older I realize. I AM PAYING THE BILL! If I want Ketchup on my Steak, or to put my elbows on the table? That is my choice. The Customer is always right in matters of taste.
Don’t wear a flannel and tell me how to use chop sticks😅
I still prefer a high-tech fork and that'll keep me out of most trouble.😁
What's with the assumption that I wanna be viewed as high class?

Thank you.
Spike taught me different when Jet made bell peppers and beef minus the beef.
Wow, thank you for sharing ❤
Only follow this if you care what others think

I'm not even sure where i heard it. 😅
I would always want my ancestors with my meals. I pray for my loved ones before every meal. I'm a bit confused.
I'll do whatever i effin want with and to my chopsticks.
Thank you lol
So rebellious😮😮😮
Jet Tila’s level is where I am for now! 😅
I use chopsticks in my hair to keep it in place

Chop sticks is offensive. They are called Ohashi
Good to know, I'll keep on calling em what I like
How does one use chopsticks to eat? Different foods,?
The thing is I don’t give a crap what people think of me eat how you want
Rules 😂
I’ll take the fork and knife to avoid getting in trouble! Lol 🤪
I guess I’m no class. Using fingers 🤣🤣🤣
Gimme a fork bro. Thats all i need.
Or how about letting people do things as they please.
Ancestors huh. They going to come down and complain?
I am definitely low, low class, as I’ve been holding chopsticks about two inches from the bottom…and I’m sorry. 🤦🏼♀️
Im not Asian.... i will use my chopsticks as i please. 😊
I’ll use chopsticks however I please
I knew that was coming and it still cringed and looked away when you did that with the bowl of rice 🥴
I won't rub my chopsticks until I get a splinter, then etiquette goes out the window.
If they don't want people doing that, get better chopsticks.
Yeah, but what if they're Korean or Chinese chopsticks?
So it’s not ok to stick chop sticks in my nose and pretend I’m a walrus?
Wrong - one swipe is not enough. no one wants splinters on their lips, bro.
It doesn't matter how you hold them if you're not the best at using chopsticks. I need chopsticks practice.
Did he say: thusly?
Do not sound so pretentious when holding chopsticks. This America, buddy
I'll do whatever I please
I’m grabbing a fork or getting out.
Thusly?
Or just use a Fork 🍴
"chopstick etiquette"
Use fork .....
no insult intended, but knife fork and spoon beat chopsticks every time
Don't tell me what to do!
Good thing i use a fork
Guess what. I'll do whatever I want with chopsticks. Couldn't care less of what others would think. This is 2024. I'll eat with whatever I want too.
Eat how you want. Nobody cares lol. If they do, that sucks for them
🤔
In japan, you do not rub or knock the chopstics together. As its seen rude towards the establishment owner saying "your chopstics are cheap"
Thats not completely true. You are correct if said establishment gives high quality chop sticks to use. But even the japanese rub together those cheap chopsticks you break in half. Its done to lessen the chances of splinters. So even jet is not 100% correct on this.
I'm a round eye and I really appreciate your inside baseball approach to just even chopsticks! Thank you
Who cares bro
Negative use a fork

Rubbish it is just to get food to the mouth but not as well as a fork.✌️❤️🙏✝️
High class , button your shirt. Low class 2 buttons undone
Also…. Fork
