I had the same problem before , but the golden rule is to fix your thumb and squeeze the bottom chopstick with bottom of the your thumb and the ring finger, just some practice and you're good .
It’s 7am. I do not have/own chopsticks I do not plan to use them I’m not even hungry. 2 of my family members have asked what I’m doing and. My response just made them think I’m special.
Decided to use chopsticks to help with overeating and learning to enjoy food taste more. I was pretty close but didn't know the thumb was to be held straight. Thank you so much
Uuhhhh it took me only some hour's to nicely use it 😁 but at first I had used to practice it with pen's and I didn't knew the right way to use it and I thought it was right and practice it with pen's and later l bought chopsticks and saw this video and learn it very fast 😉
@@perayaforeever3910 same here .... I too tried with pens , pencil's and small peace's of sticks and now I'm ready for it. ....... I can handle the Chopstick very well.......😅
Thank you so much for this video! The thing about keeping the thumb staight is absolutely true. When my thumb is not straight, my middle finger moves on its own to assist the ring finger in keeping the chopstick (or in my case, pencil) in place!
This is great - I watched about 6 videos before this one, and they all negected to mention the importance of keeping the thumb straight and still. Makes all the difference!

It's because you should be bracing it not on top of the ring finger, but you should be using the ring finger for extra stability with that stick. But over time if you use it a lot you will notice it becoming much easier.
I also found the above technique easier.when I used my ring finger to support it a bit.it was easier
I've watched many many videos on holding chopsticks I've so much trouble with but this video is so good it's so clear and precise !!thank you so much!
You're welcome! I'm really glad it helped, enjoy using them in the future!
I am just impressed by one thing that LeesRandomVids is still hearting and commenting to almost all the comments even after 3 years. Nice man
Thank you so much for noticing and replying. It's actually a lot of work to do, for example I've just spent the last 3 hours replying to comment and my hand is aching and I'm getting a headache lol and many left to do, but I do like to respond to people who take the time to post nice messages and especially those saying how my video helped them learn. I love knowing my video helped them learn to use them. 😃👍
Im an indian. I dnt know how to eat with chopstick, but i love to eat, just now i have watched ur video. Its very helpfull for me ill try.Thank you 🤗😊🇮🇳
You're welcome, I'm glad it was helpful! :D

Do you use your hands?
when I saw that:it's easy
when I try that: OMG😂😂
Its ez bruh
@@dllance8466 it's not easy for me
Once you know how you should hold them, then it's all about practice and repetition until you can do it. The tip about practicing with snacks for the repetition helps a lot. It's about struggling through, trying to eat the snacks with them until it slowly gets easier. Good luck!
Omg
Finally, I found someone that explained it perfectly. I've never been able to master the art of chopsticks. You made it very easy and interesting.👍
Thank you, I'm really glad it was useful to you. Enjoy using them in the future! 👍😃
How to use Chopsticks(original version)

The bottom chopstick always slips, screw that!!! FORKS FOREVER!
Haha, depends how hungry you are at the time.
Seriously tho, it does get easier over time, you just need to stick with it. Geddit, stick.. I'll get my coat :D
I had the same problem before , but the golden rule is to fix your thumb and squeeze the bottom chopstick with bottom of the your thumb and the ring finger, just some practice and you're good .
True tho i got cramps using the chopstick
@@sylvia2930 Yes it takes little bit of time to get used to it :)
Chopsticks used eating for fun...😂😂😂
It’s 7am.
I do not have/own chopsticks
I do not plan to use them
I’m not even hungry.
2 of my family members have
asked what I’m doing and. My response
just made them think I’m special.
😃
Oh I'm Korean. You better than me. Excellent!!
Haha Thank you. :D

yep I am gonna ruin the 69 likes sorry
Decided to use chopsticks to help with overeating and learning to enjoy food taste more. I was pretty close but didn't know the thumb was to be held straight. Thank you so much
You're welcome! I'm really glad it helped, enjoy using them in the future!
Come on taehyung hold my hand teach me it's very hard😂😂
Uuhhhh it took me only some hour's to nicely use it 😁 but at first I had used to practice it with pen's and I didn't knew the right way to use it and I thought it was right and practice it with pen's and later l bought chopsticks and saw this video and learn it very fast 😉
@@perayaforeever3910 same here .... I too tried with pens , pencil's and small peace's of sticks and now I'm ready for it. ....... I can handle the Chopstick very well.......😅
@@gulfkanawut1960 Really great 😊
Lol 😂
I really just watched this at 1:30am while I’m in the process of making ramen 🥴
😄👍
Thank you so much for this video!
The thing about keeping the thumb staight is absolutely true. When my thumb is not straight, my middle finger moves on its own to assist the ring finger in keeping the chopstick (or in my case, pencil) in place!
You're welcome, I'm really glad it helped. Enjoy using them in the future! 😄👍
@@LeesRandomVids I will, thank you!!
this is the best tutorial yet. The key is NOT to bend your thumb, Thank you so much
You're welcome! I'm really glad it helped, enjoy using them in the future! 😃

Can you use it now lol I’m Asian as well and as you probably can tell I can’t use it 🤦🏻♂️
This is great - I watched about 6 videos before this one, and they all negected to mention the importance of keeping the thumb straight and still. Makes all the difference!
This was an amazing vid that actually worked, so now I have gotten the hang of it, I just need to practice for muscle memory
Thank you!!! Yes you are exactly right! Once you know how then it's just down to practice and repetition for the muscle memory that makes perfect. The tip about practising with snacks helps a lot. Enjoy using them in the future! 😃👍
i find it hard to hold the bottom stick in place because when i start moving, even if my thumb is motionless the bottom stick will slide off of my finger
Yeah it was the same for me in the beginning too, it just takes practice, the tip about practising with snacks helps a lot. Good luck! 😄👍
@@LeesRandomVids thanks!

Nice one! And You're welcome. I'm really glad it helped, enjoy using them in the future! It just takes practice, the tip about practising with snacks helps a lot. Good luck!

TY, I'm glad it helped :)
Thank you so much for breaking it down! i finally figured out my problem and why it felt like i had no streght to grip anything.
ive been holding em wrong for 17 years, this is my time to learn while eating ramen
Haha, if you can eat with them then you are using them right. This tutorial is intended to teach people who can't use them how to use them. It's not intended to tell people who can already use them that they should use them differently. There are many ways, it's up to you how you use them really. 😃👍
I watched many videos on youtube to see how to use chopsticks and with this video, I finally found out! thanks for the detailed explanation :)

The popcorn and peanut trick is amazing, not only you're practicing how to use chopsticks properly, but you're also enjoying something delicious and thus motivating yourself even more.
Yeah! 😄👍👍👍
Asian's just eat rice as practice but in reality you're just eating food.

Why I feel the need to sit on my bedroom floor and learn how to use chopsticks at 12:45 in the morning is beyond me, but it's kinda fun. This video made so much sense, idk why it's taken so many years to click in my brain on how to use chopsticks but now that it has I'm so excited to use them. 😆

Woww Thank you so much for teaching how to use it so nicely...now I can finally buy chopsticks I really wanted to eat noodles with chopsticks as I'm a kdrama and kpop fan... Why is my lower chopstick always sliding upwards of my ring finger.
Same. Its d pen for me 😂 I don't have chopsticks 😂

Mine as well, or keeps crossing, its easier for me to have it in my tip of the finger than above the nail
@@MF-ie7vx same. It allows me to use a bit more force and pick up heavier things too. Might not be the "right" way, but if it works it works. 👌
