I only recently truly got into the Resident Evil fandom, so many ships are very new to me, especially will all those many games, movies and shows to catch up to. Fell absolutely in love with another couple of this franchise, but this video really made me a full-hearted Cleon shipper! I understand he has something going on with Ada, but honestly what he has with Claire is something SO much different and I think really unique! You can really see how deeply they care about each other, both in their different ways and I love this! Beautiful, beautiful edit!

I love it, Cleon is my ship since 2012, and I'm really sure they will solve this, actually, is the best kind of way to end the season one. Leon obviously cares about Claire so much, he protects her, he did the right thing at that moment, and he didn't even lie to her about the chip, because he respects Claire. Maybe the season two it would have other story and characters (I hope is Jill and Chris, please) but I trust Cleon would have their time in a game, movie or series. Thank you for this!

Oh was this the perfect song for Infinite Darkness... I love what Capcom in general has done with their character arcs, pulling them in different directions while at the same time, Leon needs Claire as the balm to his ever-growing cynicism-- she's still fighting for the same thing she was when they walked away from the ruins of Raccoon while he's in that cognitively dissonant battle between wanting to protect *people* as opposed to the interests of the country they live in. His Protect and Serve instinct just keeps getting pushed down and eventually it'll spring back and he knows it. More importantly, *Claire* knows it. Gonna be real interested to see where they take that dynamic in Death Island.

Lol that would be the perfect ending for Leon, although I gave up hope that no couple really became canon in RE, but I would have killed so that Claire and Leon would end up together. I really like Ada in herself, I think she's a wonderful and interesting character, but she's actually not compatible with Leon, yeah, at least in how I see them. Leon & Claire's face design is perfection in this Resident Evil Infinite Darkness. I love it so much. So realistic. Wish they were real, I also love Leon Desing in Resident Evil 4, 6 game & Resident Evil: Damnation animation movie. Perfect. :( Maybe one day in the future this type of Leon and Claire-like person will be born for sure if not 100% match at least 99% you never know right. We just need perfect genetics. It's possible. But we don't know what kind of beautiful people can make people like them. We may not alive able to see this that is for sure. @MissEleanorVane Beautiful edit I almost want it to be real. I'm mostly conflicted about these two potentially becoming canon. While I think the bond they share is truly unique and is probably going to last for their liftetime, I also feel as though Claire and Leon might be a little different in the relationship department. Claire strikes me as the kind of woman who would want something stable, deep-rooted like a true family is. I mean she also has a maternal side to her that we saw with Sherry. And I am not so sure whether Leon is the guy for that because he's clearly into that toxic on and off, fling here, flirty there situationship with Ada. I just want happiness for Claire and although she met Leon before anyone else and they bonded for life in that hell hole that was Raccoon City and he's most things considered a great catch, I'm not sure he'd make her happy. That's a good question/topic to think about, I'd like to think that Leon is actually very alone in his life and doesn't really allow people to be close to him (despite his attempt to get some girls for dates lol), and that if he allowed it, he could actually perphaps get better. In my headcanon, Claire help to heal him, but it takes time, and she certainly suffer a lot with him through it.

Hope you are ready for RE:Death Island because boy we’ll be getting more scenes with them. Though probably not as many as usual because Jill is the main hero of the movie. Leon meeting Jill is one of the biggest sell points other then well everyone working together.

I would want Claire to be happy with or without someone, she's an amazing character. But for me, these two are more like "childhood" friends for life. Ada will always be Leon's other half, one is just not the same without the other. Claire is already her own person. Without wanting to be rude, I kinda don't care if it's a problem for a few Aeons shipper that I've used scenes with mods, because, first, if you knew a bit about how edits work, you would know that ALL shippers/editors do that, it's not for nothing that we create mods. @@ukrancsaj97 Okay so, sorry if it's long. Well, already, if we know Resident Evil, we KNOW that we will never have more than that, that we cannot expect more than that. Seriously, if we take a look back at all of Resident Evil's relationships, even Aeon, who's is the most canon of all, it's literally still 25 years since none of these relationships had any real big evolutions or change or new things. Resident Evil works like this. After all these years, I think the fans are used to it and accepted it, even if it's frustrating. Based on this premise, I still find that Infinite Darkness did a lot more for Claire and Leon than most of the other stuff about them, including the CGI movie Degeneration. Do they have a lot of scenes together? No, but again, this is not new or surprising, all the RE stuff are like that. In himself too, Leon has never shown a more protective instinct than that too towards Claire, Leon is naturally protective of everyone around him but Claire, at this level, has never particularly benefited from treatment of favor from him about this. At least, before Infinite Darkness. In the show, Leon is willing to lose her if he thinks that's what needs to be done to protect her and most importantly, Leon here seeks to protect her from herself rather than from an outside threat. Already, in the fact that Leon and Claire don't agree on how to handle things is a more complex and interesting and different ending for me than all the other RE stuff where they've been together, where they just tend to end with a happy smile and a simple goodbye. By this act, their differences is here underlined and reminds us that even if they trust each other, even if they care about each other, they are nevertheless different and their differences here become a problem. Leon therefore has a more intimate and deep protective behavior than his usual protective behavior towards everyone, Claire is his friend, after all. She was with him in Raccoon, she survived this town with him, she is important to him, and he knows that by keeping the chip, he risks creating a conflict and a cold between them, but it's a sacrifice that he is ready to do to protect her. And it's interesting because here Leon makes a mistake because of love. He doesn't have to choose what Claire will do with her future, if she wants to put herself in danger by facing the government head-on, it's her right, but Leon compromised this decision and Claire's free will by interposing himself, which makes Leon's character grayer, he has good motivations, motivations driven by affection, but he made a mistake. And that leads directly to the comment that Claire gives him a bit before: he treats her like a child and casually, we never really realized that in their relationship in RE, except maybe in the books of SD Perry (but since they're not canon, they are not really important) , but it's here shown for the first time on the screen, this side of their dynamics and it is therefore new and interesting. It is also quite simply the first time that we see Claire and Leon in conflict with each other. Which is also new and for me a nice change that deepens their relationship considerably. Claire also makes a sort of mistake with him by implying that he is not himself, at the beginning in a humorous way, then in a darker way at the end, because she says thus that she thinks she knows better than him who he is. Is she wrong, is she right about Leon? I don't know, but it does raise some interesting and new questions in their relationship and for their two characters. Infinite Darkness has thus deepened the relationship of Claire and Leon. Could we have had more? Yes, sure, but we could have also had more of Ada and Leon in RE4 or RE6 or RE Damnation, we could have had more of Jill and Chris in RE5 and RE Revelations, we could have had more of Billy and Rebecca in RE0, we could, we could... RE works never give much to deepen relationships. It's just like that, especially for the old characters. As far as I'm concerned, it's something that I accepted in RE because if it's something that we find frustrating, it's hardly possible to be a fan of the saga, and I have learned to appreciate the changes when they come and Infinite Darkness made changes for Claire and Leon. The show also has other interesting qualities, and flaws too, but for Claire and Leon, it opened up an interesting theme, which I hope will be exploited even more in the future.

Including the lines from the RE books was also an amazing touch and helped with the overall bittersweet emotions I felt towards the ending of Infinite Darkness.

Oh was this the perfect song for Infinite Darkness... I love what Capcom in general has done with their character arcs, pulling them in different directions while at the same time, Leon needs Claire as the balm to his ever-growing cynicism-- she's still fighting for the same thing she was when they walked away from the ruins of Raccoon while he's in that cognitively dissonant battle between wanting to protect *people* as opposed to the interests of the country they live in. His Protect and Serve instinct just keeps getting pushed down and eventually it'll spring back and he knows it. More importantly, *Claire* knows it. Gonna be real interested to see where they take that dynamic in Death Island.

I actually wanted to get your opinion on something, Since you know a lot about the series. 😊 Even though it's bad to "What if" I still can't help myself. I always wondered why Leon didn't tell Claire that he was keeping the chip? Is it because she kind of knew or had an assumption? I guess Leon could literally say the same thing he said to Shen May to Claire, "If I do that, you'll have every agent in the U.S hunting you." But I guess maybe he thinks he is protecting her from not telling her why.

Lol that would be the perfect ending for Leon, although I gave up hope that no couple really became canon in RE, but I would have killed so that Claire and Leon would end up together. I really like Ada in herself, I think she's a wonderful and interesting character, but she's actually not compatible with Leon, yeah, at least in how I see them. Leon & Claire's face design is perfection in this Resident Evil Infinite Darkness. I love it so much. So realistic. Wish they were real, I also love Leon Desing in Resident Evil 4, 6 game & Resident Evil: Damnation animation movie. Perfect. :( Maybe one day in the future this type of Leon and Claire-like person will be born for sure if not 100% match at least 99% you never know right. We just need perfect genetics. It's possible. But we don't know what kind of beautiful people can make people like them. We may not alive able to see this that is for sure. I'm mostly conflicted about these two potentially becoming canon. While I think the bond they share is truly unique and is probably going to last for their liftetime, I also feel as though Claire and Leon might be a little different in the relationship department. Claire strikes me as the kind of woman who would want something stable, deep-rooted like a true family is. I mean she also has a maternal side to her that we saw with Sherry. And I am not so sure whether Leon is the guy for that because he's clearly into that toxic on and off, fling here, flirty there situationship with Ada. I just want happiness for Claire and although she met Leon before anyone else and they bonded for life in that hell hole that was Raccoon City and he's most things considered a great catch, I'm not sure he'd make her happy.

That's a good question/topic to think about, I'd like to think that Leon is actually very alone in his life and doesn't really allow people to be close to him (despite his attempt to get some girls for dates lol), and that if he allowed it, he could actually perphaps get better. In my headcanon, Claire help to heal him, but it takes time, and she certainly suffer a lot with him through it.
I like claire design on remake than her original and personality in remake more better than og in og claire its so playfull but in remake she was looks like mother angle this is proff his relationship with sherry more deep. And in ending re2 remake her conversation with leon and sherry more deep i just like it. If leon dont quit from rpd and helping claire to find her brother and adopted sherry. In the end he will together with claire. But if this happend re4 never happened and ashley never being rescued. FYI steve burnside was leon copycat from capcom in stage development re code Veronica leon is dead in this game but he was so famous so capcom create new character looks like leon to take this role. And they create steve burn side as leon copycat and killed him in that game. So Leon originally is dead in re code Veronica but his role was got replaced with steve

I would want Claire to be happy with or without someone, she's an amazing character. But for me, these two are more like "childhood" friends for life. Ada will always be Leon's other half, one is just not the same without the other. Claire is already her own person. I kinda started shipping her with the dude from Revelations 2 until he turned out to be... well, not worthy of her.

@@ukrancsaj97 Okay so, sorry if it's long. Well, already, if we know Resident Evil, we KNOW that we will never have more than that, that we cannot expect more than that. Seriously, if we take a look back at all of Resident Evil's relationships, even Aeon, who's is the most canon of all, it's literally still 25 years since none of these relationships had any real big evolutions or change or new things. Resident Evil works like this. After all these years, I think the fans are used to it and accepted it, even if it's frustrating.
Based on this premise, I still find that Infinite Darkness did a lot more for Claire and Leon than most of the other stuff about them, including the CGI movie Degeneration.
Do they have a lot of scenes together? No, but again, this is not new or surprising, all the RE stuff are like that.
In himself too, Leon has never shown a more protective instinct than that too towards Claire, Leon is naturally protective of everyone around him but Claire, at this level, has never particularly benefited from treatment of favor from him about this. At least, before Infinite Darkness. In the show, Leon is willing to lose her if he thinks that's what needs to be done to protect her and most importantly, Leon here seeks to protect her from herself rather than from an outside threat. Already, in the fact that Leon and Claire don't agree on how to handle things is a more complex and interesting and different ending for me than all the other RE stuff where they've been together, where they just tend to end with a happy smile and a simple goodbye. By this act, their differences is here underlined and reminds us that even if they trust each other, even if they care about each other, they are nevertheless different and their differences here become a problem. Leon therefore has a more intimate and deep protective behavior than his usual protective behavior towards everyone, Claire is his friend, after all. She was with him in Raccoon, she survived this town with him, she is important to him, and he knows that by keeping the chip, he risks creating a conflict and a cold between them, but it's a sacrifice that he is ready to do to protect her. And it's interesting because here Leon makes a mistake because of love. He doesn't have to choose what Claire will do with her future, if she wants to put herself in danger by facing the government head-on, it's her right, but Leon compromised this decision and Claire's free will by interposing himself, which makes Leon's character grayer, he has good motivations, motivations driven by affection, but he made a mistake. And that leads directly to the comment that Claire gives him a bit before: he treats her like a child and casually, we never really realized that in their relationship in RE, except maybe in the books of SD Perry (but since they're not canon, they are not really important) , but it's here shown for the first time on the screen, this side of their dynamics and it is therefore new and interesting.
It is also quite simply the first time that we see Claire and Leon in conflict with each other. Which is also new and for me a nice change that deepens their relationship considerably. Claire also makes a sort of mistake with him by implying that he is not himself, at the beginning in a humorous way, then in a darker way at the end, because she says thus that she thinks she knows better than him who he is. Is she wrong, is she right about Leon? I don't know, but it does raise some interesting and new questions in their relationship and for their two characters. Infinite Darkness has thus deepened the relationship of Claire and Leon.
Could we have had more? Yes, sure, but we could have also had more of Ada and Leon in RE4 or RE6 or RE Damnation, we could have had more of Jill and Chris in RE5 and RE Revelations, we could have had more of Billy and Rebecca in RE0, we could, we could... RE works never give much to deepen relationships. It's just like that, especially for the old characters. As far as I'm concerned, it's something that I accepted in RE because if it's something that we find frustrating, it's hardly possible to be a fan of the saga, and I have learned to appreciate the changes when they come and Infinite Darkness made changes for Claire and Leon. The show also has other interesting qualities, and flaws too, but for Claire and Leon, it opened up an interesting theme, which I hope will be exploited even more in the future.
