Glad you like them! Keep in mind that the original script is first written in plain English and afterwards rephrased by AI software to enhance the style of narration create a sense of immersion. Just to be transparent!
@TheChroniclesofAzeroth I appreciate the transparency and absolutely no shame in that, AI is here to stay and those incorporating AI into their work are ahead of the curve
After nearly two months of preparation, all-nighters, research, practice, and sacrifice away from my family, I was personally informed by my manager (of nearly five years) today that I was not selected for the Engineering Manager position/promotion that I had applied for. I sincerely apologize for divulging such personal (and depressing) real-world details...however, in the face of such disappointment, I cannot describe the extent to which this latest video of yours has helped me remain positive, determined, and inspired. From the bottom of my (and my non-WoW-playing wife's) heart: thank you, Loremaster, for your continued contributions to your fellow Azerothians. Additionally, I must admit: I was greedily anticipating an endless supply of zone- and species-centric videos...yet I will be the first to proclaim that this history/event-focused episode may truly be your most engaging upload yet! Once again, thank you dearly for all of your unrivaled efforts. For what it's worth, your consistent dedication to your audience has elevated me from simple "Channel Member" to official "Lore Keeper". You've earned it! - John
I want to start by saying how moved I am by your comment. Life can throw us curveballs, and sometimes they're especially tough to handle. I'm genuinely sorry to hear about the disappointment you've faced in not getting the position you were aiming for. It's clear from your words that you put your heart and soul into preparing for it. It humbles me that my videos have played a small part in helping you stay positive during this challenging time. Azeroth is a place of wonder and adventure, but it's the amazing community like you that truly make it special. My goal has always been to create content that both entertains and educates, and your feedback means the world to me. I'm delighted to read that you enjoyed the history-focused episode, and it's encouraging to hear that it resonated with you and many others! Congratulations on becoming an official Lore Keeper! Your support as a Channel Member means a lot, and I'm grateful to have you as part of this incredible community. Remember, setbacks can lead to even greater successes, and I have no doubt that your dedication and determination will lead you to new opportunities in the future. Stay positive, stay inspired, and keep your chin up. Warm regards, Your Loremaster
If I may ask, John, what was the reason for your manager to not select you for the role of Engineering Manager? And what were the requirements to get the position that cost you all this effort? I would like to get to know your situation better and support you as much as you support me in my endeavors!
@@TheChroniclesofAzeroth First and foremost, I cannot thank you enough for your benevolent words of kindness and encouragement. In the face of adversity, it is unfortunately all too easy to succumb to the temptations of acquiescence, self-pity, and despair. However, with the generous and motivational support of others-be it family, friends, pets, coworkers, and/or fellow Internet content creators such as yourself-disappointment can instead flourish into defiant resolve and empowerment to manifest into future achievements and personal growth...which, I am very happy to say, is precisely my current mindset (due in no small part to you and your extraordinary channel, videos, and comments!). Regarding the position I was not selected for, I received significant positive feedback afterwards (not only from my manager, but also some of the other interviewers, and even personally from the head/VP of Engineering) that it had been an extremely close call and difficult decision between myself and the other final candidate, and that ultimately the only concern they had pertained to my less-than-ideal technical expertise/exposure regarding some of the content and day-to-day processes that the team of engineers I'd be managing are responsible for (which would have been a different team and scope than the ones I have focused my career on up to this point). In light of this, I am now striving to quickly bridge as many of those remaining gaps as possible while continuing to learn as much as I can about the work and industry as a whole. I dearly appreciate your interest into the situation, and look forward to sharing a more positive career-related update in the near future!
I cant wait to hear more stories in this format as i resume my exploration of Azeroth. I am currently working on The lorewalker achievement , and your videos make the journey even more enjoyable Thank you
No. While we don't know how they look like previously, we can assume it isn't too different from the Ironforge dwarfs, and Wildhammers. It's simply due to being enslaved by Ragnaros, and slowly changed them to what they are not, somewhat elemental dwarfs. This is also my gripe with how Blizzard inserted black people in WoW, the official dumbass lore is because of Stranglethorn 🙃. They should've capitalized on the fact that it was because of the Dark Irons summoning Raganaros in Redridge, and the humans who still tried living there changing. Then make most people in Morgan's vigil black.
I agree with what most of the comments have already said, your videos are great quality, nice and easy to watch, and very informative. Your videos remind me of Sir David Attenborough's BBC nature documentaries, but for Azeroth.
Found your channel last night and I'm so glad I did! I watched all of your Zone history in one sitting! It felt somewhat nostalgic and reminded me of my love for WoW all those years ago. You've got an incredible voice for lore reading to! I hope for many more videos to come! Even feature length ones!
I'm glad you enjoy the videos and the narration. Just to be transparent, the voice is actually generated by AI. This approach allows for a consistent delivery of a wise and immersive atmosphere that transports the audience into the heart of the story. I hope this doesn't take away from the story for you.
Much appreciated! At the end of the day, all I want is to share an immersive and unique way to experience the lore of this game we all know and love. Cheers!
Really love how you sort of did an Ironforge episode but built it around the story of these clans at war. I have wondered if you were going to do videos for just main cities so its cool you are able to do that this way by telling a greater story.
I'm glad you feel that way! The story of Ironforge, just like the stories about these characters and factions are deeply intertwined with each other. Expect a comprehensive individual Ironforge video in the future, nonetheless!
@@TheChroniclesofAzeroth Anytime, keep up the good work! Might I suggest a video on say, the sirens from kultiras? Or perhaps the cult of the Tidemother?

I think Burning Steppes and Searing Gorge were created by summoning of Ragnaros. When the Dark Irons first moved in, they were simply sections of Khaz Modan and Redridge Mountains respectively.
Very true! For the progression of the video and recording of in-game footage, I choose to leave that part out and bring the Dark Iron dwarves straight to those barren lands.
Please don’t take this the wrong way, because I love all of your lore videos…but please grab a thesaurus and look up a different word for tumultuous! You say tumultuous about 9 times a video. ❤😂
Hey, thanks for the heads-up! Sometimes, after spending a considerable amount of time working on a script, it's easy to overlook instances of duplicated phrases or terms. I'll make a conscious effort to be more aware about this moving forward!
Is... Is the text AI generated? There are certain parts in the storytelling, that seem a bit off, like in the beginning, you say Modimus Anvilmars name over and over again and repeat certain phrases, just altering the words used a little bit.
8:22 Man, there's been a lot of errors lately. They did not go to the Searing Gorge or the Burning Steppes, they went to Redridge. It was because of the summoning of Ragnaros why those two zones came into existence.

One thing I always wondered about the Dark Iron's appearence. Did they always look like that or is that a result of Ragnaros empowering them?
