I want to give this a go, I have a 'Star Wars', which in honesty I bought mainly for the name of it haha, however it's now blooming and it's really so beautiful as the flowers come out a gorgeous purple and transition to pink. So thinking about trying it with cuttings from that, but also I got a tray of 6 Fuchsia 'Lisa' (for free) from the supermarket I work at as they were not looking so great, so I might try it with a couple of those too :D Someone (a customer) was actually speaking to me a while ago about making these standards and he said to me he's been putting a tube around them which makes them shoot up quicker to reach to light, told me he got this tip from someone he knows who works in a nursery. What do you think, could that work well?
I think the tube might work, but might make the stem a little weak. If I were to do that, I would feed with high potash (tomatoe feed). This helps toughen up as well as flower. Good luck
Absolutely you've done great job.
nice planting the flowers
Sorry couldn’t see what you were doing, your camera is to far away.
