Lovely radios Fred, I brought mine in mint condition for £80. Had it just over a year and can't fault it. I use a different mic and everybody says it's loads better ! Enjoy the radio and love the videos Fred.
Nice upgrade Fred. Looks a tad bit like a RCI 2950 in layout. It appears to have lots of neat functions and capabilities. I bet it will be loads of fun while you are in the shed/radio shack.
FITS, (Fred In The Shed) i have just about watched all your videos, very good knowledge and information received, respect, i am from the East Midlands (Derby) and just brought ss6900, your videos have help my decision, thanks
Hi I’ve using this 6900 for the first time today and people are telling me how quiet it is. I changed the mike to the one you suggested it made a little bit better but they’ve it needs adjusting in side. Can I do it myself as there’s no rig shop near me.
i was wondering, why use multiple radio's on the same frequentie. is there a special reason for having multiple radio's besides the ability to monitor multiple specific channels?
Hi Fred, that cobra you showed at the beginning, is it the same as the American cobra, I'm looking for the EU version, same as the one here in this video.. have they been discontinued.
I'm new to all this, I'm interested in buying this as a base setup, which power supply do I need and also will this work with any base antenna? What would be an ideal antenna, could you give me a link? Thanks, going to join the CT forum but until then I have just been watching all I can on UA-cam
