If I woke up tomorrow and said I'm not ( insert age here), I'm 10 years old. And I started making changes to my life to reflect that including trying to go to elementary school and playing with kids that age and having parents take care of me, you would think there was something mentally wrong with me and that I needed help.
If I woke up tomorrow and said I'm not ( insert my ethnicity here) I'm Japanese. And I started speaking the language, adopting their culture, and even got a bit of surgery to have my face more reflect the Japanese person, you would think there was something wrong with me and that I needed help.
So why do people treat gender differently? When someone wakes up and says I'm not a man I'm a woman when they are in fact the man, why do people not think there is something mentally wrong with them and that they need help? Why is it the complete opposite, and why are they championed? What makes gender so different?

And it does harm other people, maybe not in a physical way, but more socially. Would be awkward as hell to have to work or be around someone who claims he is Japanese. How would you deal with that, in what way would they be Japanese, cause they could just claim they are genetically Japanese and that be all. But usually that is not how it goes in cases like that, they usually dress and act a certain way (ie. stereotypes) and probably even go as far as to change their name. When its described like that, it literally sounds like a weeaboo.
