Yes and then you have the fact that people get incredibly anxious and immensely irritable without tobacco which in turn causes catastrophic hostile results. Not only for the population of the prisons but also the officers within the prison. It's a no brainer. And there is no solid evidence that E cigarettes are harmful, tobacco on the other hand is a very different story. It's pretty obvious how helpful this is.

I have to say he sounds like such a very respectful man who really just cares about the temperament of his prisoners and how that affects them in their recovery and rehabilitation. The first thing they tell you when you go to rehab is to not quit smoking cigarettes at the same time because mentally and physically we have a lot of growing to do and it doesn't happen overnight. But when cigarettes are cut from us just like that, due to our own actions, we do get angry and we do act out subconsciously and that could lead to more charges.
I understand the whole accountability is on the prisoner who acts out but I believe this man's heart was in the right place by doing what he did. We can find fault in almost anything and if that man becomes wealthy because he created something good for the men that he takes care of, then so be it.

Asking very blunt, almost rude questions like this is a good way to really highlight the trustworthiness (or lack thereof) of the interviewee. The more the interviewee tries to talk around the question or sounds defensive, the less likely they are to be genuine and vice versa.
It's not a matter of "treating him as the bad guy", it's asking important questions that anybody should be thinking about in a situation like this and giving the man a chance to directly defend himself...or hang himself with the rope you gave him. Either way you're a bit closer to the truth.

That's exactly what caught my attention! He's not doing this to get rich.. he could charge more than 2/3$ to the prisons if that were the case... he understands they're human beings and they're going thru a lot and to expect someone just to up and change many addictive behaviors/habits all at once is to expect them to be superhuman while subjecting them to living in inhumane conditions; as is the case in countless jails/prisons...with sub-par Healthcare... if any...etc...etc.... the list goes on. Don't get me wrong inmates that are actually guilty do not deserve the Ritz... but the majority of the vcurrent prisons conditions in this country are unacceptable

This is the problem with guys who never been to jail or prison. Nicotine is the saving grace when serving time and well many people kill for cigarettes in prison where you can't get any nicotine legaly. Cigarettes is the second most valueable thing after dried noodles. Drugs are the third. So yeah nothing gay about not wanting to get put in isolation or a penal cell when you already serving time. This helps keep the inmates in line, helps keep their addiction under control and makes it in general, safer for everyone as it's easier for the prisoners to be able to relax.

Since I got out I now have a smoking habit after buying them in the jail for $15 to relieve stress and sometimes they only a couple hours lasted hours. It must means that when an inmates wants to purchase an ecig from commissary, they must present the ecig they bought last time. It doesn't mean that they don't have another 20 ecigs that they got from exorting other inmates. Besides, you seem to be a Ben Shapiro fan judging from your taste in videos. @@nytim666 You are an idiot. He is not the one who is buying the ecigs, as you stated in your comment. He owns the company that manufactures them.
Only the jail has to put its profits back into the system. It said nothing about the company putting its profits into the system. The video said that the ecigs are purchased from the company at 2-3 dollars and sold at 12-15 dollars to the inmates. All of those profits should go to funding inmate programs, but knowing the corruptness of the American "corrections" system, it's probable that it doesn't actually work that way. Regardless, that has nothing to do with what the company itself makes. They might manufacture these ecigs for 50 cents each and be making huge profits. Those profits are completely his. Therefore, he is earning money from it and you are completely wrong. By the way, even if the jail wasn't putting the profits it makes back into its own budget, it wouldn't be his money because the jail's profits aren't his (unless there is corruption).
No, he wouldn't have been able to leave and sell the ecigs to other jails for higher prices if he had left. What makes you think that was an option? It seems that institutions have been extremely skeptical of his products since only 33 of them have opted in. Every jail and prison works by selling their commissary at extremely high markups. They sell individual ramen noodle packs for $1 or more. Do you really think the prisons are paying much more than what grocery stores pay for them?
I have no problem with inmates having access to nicotine. I do have a problem with inmates being taken advantage of because they have no other options. I live in Corbin,KY inside laurel county. Trust me there are a lot of crooked people in every small town like ours. Jamie Mosley could very easily make a SHIT TON more money leaving this county and pushing his company but instead he genuinely cares about his home town. Anyone that thinks he’s exploiting prisoners should meet this man and figure out that he actually cares about helping his prisoners and not making a bad situation worse than it has to be. What we aren’t talking about is how since this has been implemented violence has even went down because it gives the feeling that you aren’t just some piece of trash and you are a person that may have made a small bad decision.
