Journey to Ancient Egypt: A Junk Journal of Antiquities, Burlap-Wrapped and Full of Treasures

Hello, my crafty friend, and thanks for tuning in to my ancient Egyptian / Egyptology journal! This big book too me months to make, but it was worth it as I love the finished piece. The spine is adorned with a scarab made from real Lapis Lazuli, Turquoise and Carnelian, and inside, I've crafted vintage style postcards, popped in envelopes and tuck spots, and left tattered fabrics, golden threads and burlap edges sticking out to give the feeling that this may have been carried on an archaeological expedition or dup up from the sand. There will never be another journal quite like it, as most of the things inside are one of a kind, not just prints, and the cover was very laborious. I had an Egyptian party years ago and I used paper bags on the wall for blocks. I cover my whole room with them
Also used sandpaper for the invitations

I love the journey thur the journal, I've always been so fascinated by Egypt and the history this is a wonderful journal. It's fun to see you make something so different from what you usually do I really loved the tiny journal and the purse and the hieroglyphics in the fabric envelope and the papyrus omg! I would love to have a piece of papyrus from Egypt so much fun. It's all put together so well I love it all. And the ring! 🤎
