Hello, my sister! (Speaking as a fellow crazy cat lady, hehe.) I'm so glad you enjoyed my journal video and that it sparked that resting urge to create! I go through phases of crafting every day, followed by lulls where I just don't feel it... I trust it's part of our natural artistic rhythm, and I'm sure when the time is right, you'll be elbow deep in cool papers, fabrics, glue and string, making beauty and magic again. Lovely throughout. You combine unrelated things in a relatable way. Oh, the wardrobe doors! That’s a beautiful page. Have you used Glossy Accents? It comes in a little squeeze bottle. When you get the hang of it, you can create jewel-like surfaces. I thought the brooches would really shine and be more dimensional with Glossy Accents. Just remembering you can fill bezels with GA too. On a tangent now. 💜ya!
Thanks, Mara! I’ve seen other crafters on UA-cam mention glossy accents, but I’ve never really understood what to do with them. I’ll definitely pick some up now! They should be fun to play around with. 😊🐣💖
@@sarahsjournals You’ll have a lot of fun. I learned techniques from UA-camr Jennifer McGuire. One is to tap the bottle on your table, then squeeze the bottle to clear the tip. Works great to keep the tip cleared when stored. Second tip is to carefully tap your finger on the underside of your paper. That will spread the goop more evenly if you need to. I recently made flat back jewels with dots I made using a simple hole punch. I stuck the dots on paper using a tacky adhesive. Then applied GA. Blah blah blah. I don’t get out much. Ha! 💜💜💜
