I grew up in a home with both my parents, two sisters and two brothers. I am the youngest. My mother and father never cussed us out, but they didn't have too. My mother was short in stature, but she would jack you up in the collar against the wall in a minute. When she talked to you between clenched teeth, you knew you were in trouble. My father just had to look at you and he made his point. He never laid a hand on us, but for some reason, we knew he wasn't to be played with. Kirk Franklin sounded frustrated and at the end of his rope with his son. Nobody really knows about their family dynamic, but I have a feeling there's a lot going on there. Because they are father and son, I hope they work it out.

I cussed him out! he stopped immediately and told me "that dont sound too Christian like to me Mama..I told him you took me there..but praise be to God after he left...I fell down on my knees & asked the Lord next time he take me there please Jesus zip my lips, turn me around,whatever it takes..and that grown man child took me there..well God did just what I ask for...and all I genuinely said to my son was I love you, have a blessed day... I grew up in a home with both my parents, two sisters and two brothers. I am the youngest. My mother and father never cussed us out, but they didn't have too. My mother was short in stature, but she would jack you up in the collar against the wall in a minute. When she talked to you between clenched teeth, you knew you were in trouble. My father just had to look at you and he made his point. He never laid a hand on us, but for some reason, we knew he wasn't to be played with. Kirk Franklin sounded frustrated and at the end of his rope with his son. Nobody really knows about their family dynamic, but I have a feeling there's a lot going on there. Because they are father and son, I hope they work it out.
It's not weak to put in work for your loved ones. However it's not for you to apologise to strangers for overhearing it. Overall I like the sentiment of her message. Sometimes tough love is the only method to help but ultimately you don't have to be extra to convey an honest message. You can hurt without cussing and sometimes the truth hurts, but you can also inform without doing either.

The narrated testimonies and stories of ppl who trusted Jesus and God brought them out. And what about the songs that suggest we be good Samaritans/ examples of love?
I have done it..and I'm been saved since I was 32 yrs old & I'm 71 1/2...I cussed my son out in front of our house..he was in his late 40's..after he was screaming at me "consider you dead to me Mama", & more.. I cussed him out! he stopped immediately and told me "that dont sound too Christian like to me Mama..I told him you took me there..but praise be to God after he left...I fell down on my knees & asked the Lord next time he take me there please Jesus zip my lips, turn me around,whatever it takes..and that grown man child took me there..well God did just what I ask for...and all I genuinely said to my son was I love you, have a blessed day...
It works..to this day him at 53 & me at 71 1/2 yrs old...he apologizes if he almost say a cuss word in his every day just talking to somebody else in my presence..I told him I didn't get up on any cross & die for the forgiveness of your sins..so your cuss words don't bother me..that's between you & God...but I do appreciate his respect...God gets all the honor & glory for that turn around for me & my son's relationship now...
Let really go Mr. Franklin & let God fight that battle..I had to pray for help to let go of my grown a_s kids...🤗💕

A 32 year old, who hasn't been able to get it together is what Kirk and his wife and the boy's mother have all tried to help him. Him recording his Dad in an effort to try to embarrass him is just FOUL. i was so inspired when the boys' Mom went on several talk shows defending Kirk. She said her impetus was "Kirk shouldn't be out there by himself, the public needs to know. She backed Kirk up.

As far as you not speaking to your parents if it happened to you, so what? That would be your perorgative. Also, there is no shame in being born out of wedlock. No one gets to choose their parents and how they were conceived. Hopefully, Kirk and his son will work things out. I'm praying for them. His son is an adult with issues. What caring son puts their father on blast like that? Kirk's son is immature and vindictive. Frankly, it's a family matter between father and son. The problem has to be worked out between them; not social media and the opinions of you and I. He was trying to publicly embarrass his father. It also shows what a spoiled, selfish punk he is.

If I were a friend or acquaintance of his son', I would be learry of him. If he could do this to his father; what would he do for me if we had a disagreement? I’d been cussed at and whooped while growing up. I treat my adult children with respect, at the same time I’d also cussed them out when they’ve overstepped or needed to hear the truth in a language that they understand. They are great productive members of society and actually joke about me going in on them.
