Bawling at my desk....I know I fall short for real but man I love God......Lord help me in my weaknesses for there are plenty of them...... God bless everyone and may He have mercy upon us.
wowzers. way too good. i want to live a life where gods light shines. jesus help me on my journey. let people see you through me. thank you for this mans life and for being a blessing in his life.
I've been struggling with a personal sin that has been knocking me down countless times. One minute I don't do it, the next I do. This poem has really inspired me to get serious and work harder to focus on the things of God and not dwell on sinful desires or thoughts. I don't want to deny Christ or hurt him any longer. I want to be a real Christian, not only in the sight of people, but most importantly in the sight of God.
That's so crazy. I was looking at the comment, and I was like I know someone who has an email address like that...lol...then I realized it was you Karness. I took the open mic sign up from you that night. Mehn good job on the mic. SO blessed by that poem. May God keep using you to spread His word.
I find it quite easy to talk about my faith in a discussive manner, due to the fact that i choose to not use the words in a manner which leaves the other...
"Does anybody know you're a Christian by your actions or does everybody THINK that you're a Christian while you're acting?" "Are you expecting full time benefits when He's your part time job?" I know we all have fallen short of the glory of God, but when will we wake up and stop being hypoChristians??
@Kohria Here are the laws in the Torah I am talking about in case you didn't know. Deuteronomy 21:18-21, Leviticus 21:9, Leviticus 20:13, Leviticus 20:10
There are many ways to preach and speak the gospel.. and this right here, mhmmmmm-- is one of them are you a CHRISTIAN based on your ACTIONS, or based on your ACTING!!! #PREACH
@msd2012 Yes. I am talking about work. Even in Numbers 15:32-36 picking up sticks was seen as work and the person was killed. So did someone change the rules of the Sabbath day?
@willjohnson456 Yes; most Christians do.Read any of the Gospels and you'll find that Jesus constantly discussed them and expanded their purview and meaning. In regards to the Sabbath, Jesus criticized people who wouldn't do good on the Sabbath if it could be considered "work". He also states that the Sabbath was made for man, not the man for Sabbath, so that it is ours to enjoy.
@aeromaximon "It is for FREEDOM that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery." - Gal5:1 This means that you are already free if you are in Christ. I can do all things from the One who strengthens me. "For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength." - Phil4:13
This is powerful !! Does anybody know you are a Christian because of your actions or does everybody think that you're a Christian because your are acting?
True I got to agree with another comment the crowd is annoying. Your poem is powerful and the pauses by the crowds cheers is taking away from it some. May I make a suggestion, post the poem with just that the poem it will be better and come across more powerful. Not mocking the crowd but rather hear the poem then cheers. When the poem pauses so does the message, the message is what needs to be heard. Maybe have the poet post the poem with just him and a wall. Love the poem not trying diss it.
I'm really glad people are down voting my comments it shows how we as a people would rather remain blissfully ignorant then well aware of the ugly truth.
@willjohnson456 Jesus is the fulfillment of the law. This means that we are no longer bound by civil or ceremonial laws that were meant for the nation of Israel as preparation for the coming of the Messiah. Some Christian denominations still do follow the Sabbath. In general, most Christian denominations would argue that the Sabbath is a gift; we should rest in God and for God, but trying to obey rules in order to earn salvation is legalism.
@Zombieslayer5P Well, according to the law you would be considered a criminal. So if you were living in ancient Israel and had a loved one that was an adulterer would you be ok with stoning them to death?
to sugar coat anything I'm just explaining my understanding of your complaint. Don't say some behaviour was deemed ok when it was not. I don't honestly know why people act like those in the bible could do no wrong as if they are beyond mistakes, they aren't and that's why when Jesus was there he said whichever one of them was free of sin to cast the first stone. We could say the same for today's traditions, We have the law to protect people yes but also they should be trying to help them
@Kohria That's why I said if. So hypothetically speaking if the laws in the Torah were in practice would you want to follow laws such stoning your disobedient son to death, burning to death prostitutes, killing homosexuals, and killing adulterers? If so, why? If not, why?
@willjohnson456 I already answered your question. It wasn't that difficult. If you cannot put 2+2 together, it's not my fault. Any furtherance of the issue on your part is pointless.
It's commonly referred to as the curse of Ham. It's also the basis off which the book of Mormon formed it's racial beliefs. Slavery is wrong regardless of who initiates it. Exodus 21:2-6 NLT in this manner yes it's indentured servitude but if you notice the Master gets to keep any wife or children born of the relationship. Sure the male can go free but would you want to leave your family behind? Exodus 21:7-11 NLT Here you have an example of sex slavery also deemed moral by the Bible.
@willjohnson456 who knows, I was never born in ancient Israel so I have no idea how I would have thought. All I know is that it doesn't apply in the modern world.
@willjohnson456 First, the laws you are referring to in your discussion with you and Kohria were exclusive to the Jews under the old covenant. When Jesus was sacrificed, He ratified the new covenant with his people. According to this new covenant, we are to love our God with all our heart, mind, soul, and strength, and love our neighbor as ourselves. Plain and simple. Therefore, you cannot say that we fail in our faith because we don't practice the laws of the old covenant. (cont.)
Religion should be talked about and pondered upon, it creates world views of reality. To keep it quiet is to remain ignorant about the world around you. (I'm not saying your ignorant I'm saying, not allowing people to express themselves leaves an ignorant society)
Servants were to obey their masters and masters treat servant right. There is an expectancy from both parties and if you really are interested I will find it again with the original words and context it's written. But of course Chris Rock is your back up for gospel and what you don't understand?...Im sure he leads a more moral driven life than anything stated in the bible's truth
@willjohnson456 no because that's legalism. refer to jpraab's comment, he explained it perfectly. jesus was fulfillment of the law that is now obsolete.
@willjohnson456 why are you pressing for an obvious answer? does anybody in the world want to do what you just listed? dont really get why you are not being direct and asking about hypotheticals. are you trying to get at something else here?
@Kohria You clearly don't want to answer my hypothetical questions. It's okay though. I know you wouldn't want to follow those laws that are in the Torah that's probably why you don't want to answer the questions.
Bawling at my desk....I know I fall short for real but man I love God......Lord help me in my weaknesses for there are plenty of them...... God bless everyone and may He have mercy upon us.

@Kohria Here are the laws in the Torah I am talking about in case you didn't know. Deuteronomy 21:18-21, Leviticus 21:9, Leviticus 20:13, Leviticus 20:10

I neverrrrr comment on videos but AMENNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!
How many times are you going to deny Jesus before he starts denying YOU
I have a question. How come many Christians don't follow the Sabbath day but follow the other ten commandments?
Conviction.
@Kohria So would you want to follow these laws if they were enacted today?
Love it
If you can't say ouch just say Amen!
@Kohria I asked you if you would want to follow these laws in the Torah if you were living in ancient Israel. It's a yes or no answer.
sooooo Deep SNM! How many times will you deny Jesus before Jesus Denies you!
@jpraab So you follow only nine commandments of the ten commandments?
This is powerful !!
Does anybody know you are a Christian because of your actions or does everybody think that you're a Christian because your are acting?
Does anybody know your a christian by your actions
Or do they just think your a christian cuz you're acting
True I got to agree with another comment the crowd is annoying.

"or does everybody think that ur a Christian cuz ur actin'" JESUS!
I'm really glad people are down voting my comments it shows how we as a people would rather remain blissfully ignorant then well aware of the ugly truth.
This poem is beastly! Do people think u r a christian bcuz of ur actions or do people think u r a christian bcuz ur acting?
Conviction right there
@jpraab Do you follow the ten commandments?
@willjohnson456 Jesus is the fulfillment of the law. 5/5!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@willjohnson456 And there you have it. You answered your own question. Don't forget though; YOU would also do the same under those circumstances.
@Kohria Do you believe the laws I posted to you are from God or human beings?
@willjohnson456 um you listed them out for me in your previous comment so yes, I do know what you are talking about lol.
@willjohnson456 no because that's legalism. refer to jpraab's comment, he explained it perfectly. jesus was fulfillment of the law that is now obsolete.
@willjohnson456 why are you pressing for an obvious answer? does anybody in the world want to do what you just listed? dont really get why you are not being direct and asking about hypotheticals. are you trying to get at something else here?
this is an Ouch moment for all those HypoChristians
@Kohria You clearly don't want to answer my hypothetical questions. It's okay though. I know you wouldn't want to follow those laws that are in the Torah that's probably why you don't want to answer the questions.
