Been watching all reviews from all the top reviewers. Went with the TF2.Thanks Rafa for your take on the GENESIS. I'm a vibration suppresion guy, with soft game control focused. Kudos to CRBN for doing all the R&D as talked about with Garrett and Kyle. My chronic elbow issues with be very tuned into this feature.
@@pickleballtechdude I never thought i would spend this much on a paddle but am hopeful it will help with my Tennis Elbow. That is the main reason I bought it. Glad to hear about the low vibration!
Dwell time is what I have been looking for!!! Jut got my CRBN TFG1. There is a little known paddle company who has a Great product but they don't know how to market it. The Goat Paddle is awesome with control and dwell time but nobody outside of Fort Myers Florida knows about it. Very solid paddle with tons of dwell!
For the recommended weight set up you said 4 and 6 position for the TFG2? Think you mean 4 and 8 o’clock position? And I just got the TFG2 today and was going to do 3 and 9 o’clock. Thoughts? Also, do you know if you should use the carbon eraser to clean? Thank you PTD great review as always keep up the great work. 🙏🥊
@@crbnpickleball thank you I played several games today and really love it so far! Easy transition. I played with the 3X a long time but then switched to BNB shogun and invader. But I’m a huge CRBN fan!
You’re 100% correct someone else pointed this out too I absolutely did mean the 4 & 8. 3 & 9 on the TFG2 shouldn’t be too bad either!! Eraser is fine for the grit I prefer to use paddle reset with a microfiber cloth.
They were smart to release one day before the Ripple. I chose the CRBN because it is very different than any paddles in the past but the Ripple is a great paddle. Spending over $500 for 2 paddles is a bit much in the same week so I decided on the CRBN TFG1.
I bought the 1 yesterday because I had a weird feeling the Ripple was going to be delayed again and 5 hours after my purchase the rumors started to flood the news and this morning the official news hit. TBH, I’ll probably still pick up the Ripple if it comes out as long as it plays similar to the current ones in the wild. A little less power is ok with me.
Wish they would have released the TFG 4 (hybrid shape) instead of just announcing they're working on it with no ETA. Also confusing they didn't max out the dimensions.
I respect that. I’m just going based on the numbers I tested they are in pretty similar ranges for power. Gen 1 is definitely durable bc they aren’t thermoformed but testimonials from players indicate that the Bantams still core crush faster bc we’re talking plastic vs foam cores.
In my opinion yes - but of course price is always a factor! I think durability is a big reason for the high price which tbf this will have way more than the Ti
I freakin love the invader but I also freakin love the trufoams. I prefer hybrid shapes in general and have had the trufoams for a few months and was most drawn to the tf2, I think it's the closest to a hybrid in how it plays. Invader is definitely lighter and probably generally poppier but when you hit the fiberglass square just right the trufoam gets some good pop. Trufoam wins for me in power, and in the soft game / resets. Trufoam feels more stable to me too at least the tf2. I don't remember the twist weight on the invader but the trufoam plays higher than the twist weights would indicate imo
Yeah agree largely with what was said. TFG2 probably wins for me in all areas. If we were talking the other shapes the Invader can make its case but if you do happen to like standard shape paddles the TFG2 is one of the better ones out now.
Could CBRN take this teck and make the best edgeless paddle and get the hand speed up by doing so. If they want to test one I will be there ginny pig for sure.
Good question I think the limiting factor is the foam density - they’ve found a formula that works and feels very nice but the density makes it heavy. They could sacrifice some density for hand speed but it would also take away from the ball feel
TGF? I thought it was Thursday…
I was waiting to see how long it would take someone to catch me saying it 🤣🤣🤣
@ At least you know I was paying attention 😂

Beautiful! TFG2 is definitely going to get a lot of love for those exact reasons you mentioned :)

I actually tried and tested their paddle on my instagram page a year ago! Very underrated
Love it! Thanks Rafa!!!

Good stuff man!
Thanks brother 🙏🏼
Does the TFG2 have more power than the X1 ? With new PBCoR, the power will be capped.

hope you love it! All good to use the paddle eraser on the face

Nice! That’s my favorite shape :)
Ripple got delayed again probably it won't be released and be delisted probably
@@ernest4483 Are you 100% sure about tomorrow?
@@user-wh1cv5vh5nyeah its delayed bro, probably banned soon

Possibly would’ve been too much weight but I agree at least with the TFG1 there was an opportunity to improve dimensions
It is nice they have a free 30-day trial so you can test the paddles with no regrets
Great point 👌🏼
I was just wondering how you put weight at the four and six position😂
Holy cow you are so right… 🤣 let me pin a comment about this
It has to be a aha moment for me to give up my CRBN 3X but I will test it
I think you’re gonna like it especially coming from the X series 😉
You would be giving away some power with the Bantams… ESQC hits harder than the TFG2 IMO. Also Gen1 is VERY durable

11six24 review soon?
Soon probably after launch tho they’ve been delayed in getting to me
Would you consider this an upgrade over the j2ti? Considering the tfg2 but not sure how i feel about the price point

Gen 4, Gen 5, Gen 100, etc. It's simply a misnomer for innovation that's great for marketing.
Gotta differentiate levels of innovation somehow I think this is just what makes sense for consumers at this point
Good stuff! So if you love the Pulse V (like I do) , do you think going to the TFG2 is an overall upgrade in performance?
Depends on what you want to improve! Spin, ball feel, power? Yes. Control, sweet spot size, hand speed? Either the same or worse from my experience.
How would you compare this to the invader? Also I am hearing the 2 is the best shape if I like a traditional hybrid - accurate?
I freakin love the invader but I also freakin love the trufoams. What is your Flick weight and where?
It’s the copper circular object you see at the bottom of the paddle! They’re weighted and function like speed caps
Ooo new pickleball tech dude logo?
You've got a good eye! 👀
tfg2 setup with weight at 4 and 6 position?
or do you mean 4 and 8?
I do mean 4&8 apologies for that mix up!
@@pickleballtechdudeAh okay makes sense!
Is the sweatshirt comfy?
Very 🤗
for your weight recommendations it says 3g. Is that strips or 3g total amongst both positions?
Good question that’s 3g per location so 6g total

$230 for plastic paddles, $280 for foam paddles cmon people 🤧
Price is definitely a factor!
Still can't talk about the 008? I haven't seen one review that puts the 2 most recent all foam paddles head to head
Thoughts coming soon! Very little we can say about that paddle at the moment but a comparison is coming
sounds like the Ripple is delayed yet again.
It is :/ was excited to share thoughts tomorrow
I will stick to my Jellybean lol. Won’t make a big difference to the game.
That’s a great paddle can’t blame you
