Hi Kellie. I finally signed into UA-cam to make my first comment, and to you. Two months ago i left my job to be a homemaker (as a single woman) and you are one of the reasons i got the courage to pursue my dream Biblical feminity. I want to say thank you for being obedient to your calling from the bottom of my heart. May God bless you. Liza
Love you thoughts on being content & seeing God provide, my husband & I have been married 33 years & I was just telling my youngest daughter it is so amazing to look back over those years & see how God provided or see the things he did for us big & small. God is so faithful!
What a special gift those tomato plants are. ♥️ You will have to save some seeds by fermenting them this year so you can enjoy them for years to come!! 🍅
I always loved harvesting potatoes with my three sons when they were young! It was like finding treasures in the soil. Even though I'm now a 65, single, retired RN, living in a small condo, I love watching your videos. It brings me such joy and inspires me to do what I can with what I have. My faith in God has kept me going through the lean years. I now grow vegetables and herbs in my container garden and plant flowers in my tiny front porch garden. I often buy veggies, fruit, and meat from local producers. I can and freeze for one. I love my simple, abudant live here in Central Indiana. Blessings to you both. A new, loyal follower.
What a wonderful blessing all of those potatoes were! And all of the comfrey is amazing! I planted my first one this year, hoping I can harvest some this fall.
Isn’t it just an amazing feeling when God does that! I call them God winks. It reminds me that he’s got us and we can trust him no matter what comes our way. Thanks for sharing this with us all. I enjoyed this video so much! Blessing to you both!
I love the reminder about God’s provision…especially when we are disciplining ourselves not to run and get our wants met. A beautiful way to live! BTW I finally cleaned out my onion rows this morning. Volunteer potatoes had come up and had gotten so big they were shading out my onions. I think I pulled out around 10 pounds of potatoes! God provides! 😊
Many blessings on your harvest this year. I love the green of late spring in the garden. This was peaceful to watch and listen to as I finished my evening with some cross stitching.
Kelli, I always look forward to your videos! I so appreciate your outlook on life and your encouragement for homemakers (something I am praying to be one day.) It's so nice to see someone forging the way forward in that direction and I believe God is calling many people back to this. I really look up to you and want to be like you "when I grow up" haha. Blessings!
I planted marigold seeds next to my tomatos and the birds at them all, so I'm starting them inside and will have to transplant them once they are bigger!
Comfrey grows back so eagerly, I usually cut it 2 to 3 times in our colder climate and use it as mulch around my growing plants to feed them, snd it still manages to grow put again. It breaks down supper quickly. I'm very curious about the compost/fertilizer tea!
Hi Kelli, I am such a potato fan. So, I buy potatoes flakes from Azure. They are very good so I can whip up some mashed potatoes in a couple of minutes when I’m out. Just a thought for those days.
I understand, we lived in a basement apartment and started growing in pots! You can do any type of herb you desire- peppermint for tea, basil, lavender, lemon balm, oregano, thyme, parsley- anything! And we've grown tomatoes, peppers, even potatoes in pots. Flowers as well are lovely!
Are mosquitoes bad where you are? If so what do you do? They are so so bad here that my baby and I can’t even enjoy being outside. I heard about rubbing pure vanilla extract on… and this seemed to work for a little while but all a sudden we’re getting eaten up again.
Badger bug spray has worked really well for us. It's very oily and sometimes I don't love the oil all over me, so I'm trying to rub herbs on me and the verdict is still out if this works. I didn't know that about vanilla, so I will give that a try too!!
my daughter attracts them (some peoples' chemistry does that) & she is allergic to them. She has invested in a thermacell canister & it works GREAT! About a 10-15 ft. radius & no mosquitoes. she can't be outside without it.

So glad your asparagus came up! It takes forever to be able to harvest it starting from seed, but is so worth it when you do!

Amen, He is so good, and I like that- God winks.

I love how you thanked God for providing those potatoes. I am blessed by your channel!

Your garden looks so beautiful. Another great video 😊

That is an impressive garden! Great job!

Thank you so much, I'm so glad you enjoyed it. And I agree, so much brightness!
I LOVE how God provides. Garden looks lovely. I cracked up at “the only way to eat Kale” LOL. Amen.
Yes, so much to be thankful for! And for real, there just is no other way to eat them haha
Have you tried them with nutritional yeast? Makes them cheesy.
I love vinca! it will spread like crazy though so make sure you plant it somewhere you don't mind a lot of ground cover. ❤

Great lesson, and I enjoy seeing you work together
You can substitute radishes for potatoes in stews and pot roast. Cooked radishes taste like potatoes and radishes are really easy and quick to grow.
Not wanting a completely beet-red stew. 🤣
Planting marigolds amount your tomatoes is a big help with keeping bugs and worms away.
I planted marigold seeds next to my tomatos and the birds at them all, so I'm starting them inside and will have to transplant them once they are bigger!
❤
Comfrey is a great fertilizer!
The garden is looking lovely!

Wow, your gardens are looking amazing.
Yummy food to go with. 😍
Thank you, it has been so enjoyable this year!
Comfrey is good for the chickens too
Thank you, good to know!

Oh that's such a great idea to just have that on hand, I didn't know azure sold that! Thank you!
I always use milk with butter melted into it .. delicious..
Thank you so much for sharing your life with us. You are so blessed to have a husband interested in partnering with you in garden work.
I ordered some of your south African tea yesterday!😊
I saw that and will be shipping your tea out tomorrow! Thank you so much, Kim. I hope you enjoy it!
I live in an apartment complex and have no land to plant anything. I do have 2 container pots though. Any suggestions on what I could grow? 😮

Get some green stalks!
What is the name of the book on contentment? I'd love to read it❤
At 14:16 Kelli said she thinks it was The Contented Soul, by Lisa Graham McMinn. I just put it on hold at my library (I was surprised they have it)!
I'm surprised your library had it too! That's awesome!!

Buzz patches work great for us!
