This is true wealth. Multiple generations living together, close to nature, eating food that doesn't make them tired, irritable, sad, and sick. Where did we go wrong? Thank you for sharing these moments and letting us into your family a little. So many of us have so much but our connection with each other and our world has suffered irreparably. I watch and feel nostalgic for my past lives. Something like this is so precious in helping us not to forget entirely what it meant to live in harmony.

Do you happen to grow your own rice? Wow, from cleaning, boiling, sun-drying to manually pounding to hull the rice grains is a tedious and back-breaking job. Now every rice grain counts when you eat it. Kudos to Grandma to take on such a task. She is as strong as an ox! Village and rural life certainly brings out the best in people, in health and in spirit!

I feel myself very fortunate to have the honor of seeing these videos and the honest hardworking lifestyle and love of family that grandma has in everything she does. But honestly, there is no f***ing way I could do it, with my western upbringing, lol. If you asked me to apprentice with her, I'd probably couldn't make it through water duty (getting) her fresh water. I know I'd be out of the game by the 2nd carrot when it comes to cutting vegetables. I'm sooooo very proud of her and her strength. I work in a nursing home and I constantly complain about all the physical work I have to do and my aches and pains; but as I watch these videos . . . I'm speechless and humbled. This is what true labor and labor of love is. And in the next 24 hours, I'll have the nerve to get pizza delivery, !!!, lol. This is very educational and I'm glad I'm seeing it.

She lives in a community where they share the chores - so while she is winnowing and cooking rice for hours, other relatives are preparing dinner, doing the laundry and cleaning, fetching water and looking after the kids. Before I say anything about the hardworking grandma, i want ask from the people who doubted her feet...haven't u ever tasted wine? And have u ever thought know how it is made? This lady just walks on rice husks which covers the grain... I too had this experience when my grandmother was alive. She used the same method to dry out the boiled rice. I just loved & enjoyed every single bit of this hard work which brings my childhood memories back

when I was a child my grandparents planted rice and sugarcane this brought back so many memories I would help them dry the rice ,I loved to walk on the rice while it was drying and we would fan the rice the same way as you do to get rid of the husk the only difference is that my grandpa took the rice to a mill to be milled but my grandma always kept some home for us ,this was a great video you always surprise me of how similar we do things here ,I truly appreciate it ,keep up the good work!!!!
