Solved a lot of Hanayama puzzles of 6/6 without big issues, now this is a 5, and even with a video looks like a pretty bad finiky solution, also needs some force. Sad I got this puzzle as a present for my friend. Dissapointed
Nearly blinded myself trying to solve this at Night whilst in bed ...I nodded off and the Puzzle Crashed down into my Eye.!!!😉🫣🙃 Thnxks for the Tutorial Might Get some morw Puzzles😵💫
On that turn where the ring is supposed to start turning from perpendicular to parallel, my puzzle won't budge. There's no rotation. I have tried to follow 4 different tutorials now, and I can't get any of them to work. I've solved many puzzles on my own, and those I couldn't figure out were always resolved after watching a tutorial. I'm stumped by this one! Any additional tips and tricks? Otherwise, I'm ready to throw this puzzle away.
The first thing is always to check you're in the exact right position. Second thing is to keep trying and keep trying and keep trying. These 2 things usually get the job done. Not the most helpful reply. Good luck!
I found this puzzle quite disappointing - perhaps the silver coil in my puzzle was slightly too big, but it was very easy to thread out of the helix pieces at multiple points. I did think that couldn't really be the intended solution for a 5/6 puzzle, and spotted all the "features" which should help with a solution, but lost the motivation to try to find it. The easiest solution should always be the "proper" one, but sadly that's sometimes not the case with some of the Hanayamas. I'm thinking Square, U&U, Nutcase, and now Helix, all of which I've solved most easily - and without force - using non-intended solutions.
was playing around with this puzzle today! This was a pretty quick and elegant solution.
Bam! Thx for the video! Now I gotta tell my friends I solved this on my own lol
Your secret is safe with me
Thank you so much!

Look up the Puzzle Guy. He has a simple solution but you have to follow every step exactly. I finally got it after years of trying!
is it possible to put back the helix incorrectly?
I'm not sure. I think if it was, it'd require a lot of force
Your the best
Omg thank you brooo

Interesting... My Helix requires a lot of force to get it to solve that way. Must be a slightly different build on yours.
What was the most challenging hanayama puzzle you solved
The Hourglass.
