Ross, let me compliment you for a well put together tutorial. The presentation is clear and lucid ... it helped me solve the puzzle after i got lost watching some other video.
WOW! Awesome! I would have never figured that out without this video. I had to pause this several times just to follow along and get the moves correct, thank you!
G'day Mate yeah Ross I think I've put the puzzle back together wrong. From the start position looking down the trinity piece is in left facing me the blank piece on right is the larger head piece is closer to me the smaller head facing away. Will I be able to get it back together this trinity puzzle?
Not having the patience to solve this puzzle, I turned to UA-cam for solutions. Your channel was the clearest I found. I couldn’t understand why you were saying “the black piece” then I realized it was the “blank” piece. My fault not yours. Thanks.
hi, fabulous help, BUT: what to do if I messed up on the reassembly? I messed up the last part so my trinity is to the right and cannot be put on left side without it being 'backwards'.....
@@RossDM Yeah man got it. It was such a mission. I had to realise where I went wrong an go back then watch your video and basically start again. So finally done it Wahoo cheerin🍻 My missus not so happy 😂😂😂😂 however all good mate looking forward to another puzzle thanks again Ross 👍
I think mine is a little deformed. It takes significant force to pass the ends of any two pieces (apart or together), which stopped me from finding the solution myself (I got to the first pass, and a lot of positions that looked the same but weren't correct, a number of times). I find this to be about the same as equa or chain, where the allowances seem to be made worse by the material
There are some times when I try solve this one and need a little force and other times when it moves smoothly. I remember separating the pieces being very tight first time around but loosening up the more I did it. I guess they have to be made pretty tight to be tough.
I did not watch the video as I don’t want the solution but do you know if it is possible for the puzzle to become jammed? I may have forcefully moved the pieces one time and it seems they can’t come apart now
It's very easy for a piece to get stuck if you try force it into a move it shouldn't. The easy solution is to force it back out, providing you remember which way you pushed it in.
I've been stuck in that position a few times, if you come back out and try position it again a few times, as long as you've got the right orientation, you'll get it to pass through eventually.
@@zg7047 Double check all the previous moves were the correct way. I'm guessing it's the move where you separate them into a chain, which was very stiff and required a bit of force when I first did it on mine. Keep trying and don't be afraid to use a little bit of force to get them over each other. It's hard to help specific situations but I hope this helps a little.
I see exactly what you're doing for the first move, and I can duplicate it right up to moving the Hanayama piece over a bit to help move the Trinity piece into the blank piece, but actually trying to get it through is impossible. The H. piece doesn't drop out of the way, it just binds the whole thing up. I love Hanayama, but this one is ridiculous.
Have you managed it yet? Are you talking about the first pass through or the second? The second should only go to half way, it shouldn't go the whole way through.
@@RossDM Edit: I got it! This puzzle is soo hard, but I got it. I'm about half way through getting it apart now. Thanks for the video. I'll come back to it many times.
Stumbled upon your channel when doing some research, I love your solutions video! Thanks and keep it up! My channel has similar content, please come check it out if you have time! Cheers!
First move is very hard. Holding the lower piece to the side does not help me like in the video but eventually I got it. This puzzle jams up a lot. Not a good design in my opinion. Needed some force the first few times but it seemed to break in after a while. I bought a second one to see if it would work better but it was pretty much the same. Still fun.

I watch a lot of your Hanayama videos since I started collecting the puzzles. You do a great job. Thanks.
Awesome, thanks Wayne. Just got a new batch delivered today so there's plenty more to come

i was this close to give up and resume watching your video
Finally a great way to show and explain the reassembly! Thanks 😊
Wonder why this has so few likes? This is perfectly solid.
Thanks!
Exactly! He is amazing! I really don’t know why he has that few likes😢

It would be best if you disassembled it and started the reassembly again. Easier said than done though. Good luck!
9 months had gone by and I gave up solving it myself.
Love the video - very clear.
Thanks Noel. Glad it helped.
I watched "the other guys" video like 5 times and couldn't get it. I watched yours and got it the first time. Great job!
Sweet! Glad I could help!
I only use yr solutions for these puzzles. Some other ones are more confusing.
You explain in great detail show tips an a easy understanding. 👍🍻🍺🍻

The hanayama piece facing away from me can you help or is it a lost cause 😎

Thanks Jonathan! Glad this helped
thanks, dude, getting it back was harder than taking it apart
Yeah, this is a very tough one. Well done on solving it.
@7:17 got absolutely lost, no i have a metal knot i can't get apart.
Still unable to do the last step. “Lines up nicely” never happened. Not sure what to do
Disassembling or reassembling?
