I bought ryzen 7 5700G in 2021, during the high price during lock down paid 400$, at the time there was no other varients such as 5700x, 5700. There was only 5800x and 5700g. 5800x was 450$.
Seeing how the 5700, 5700G & 5700x are all within $25 usd of each other. I say just get the 5700X. BTW, that was a neat trick in Valheim. I had to go back and make sure I saw that correctly.
Hey man, pls add to your tests games like FarCry(5-6) for one core only. Cuz a lot of ppl want to know about games like World of Warcraft, Guild wars 2 etc, which uses 1-2 cores only. And in big fights with a lot of ppl need a big CPU performance. Thanks have a nice day!
The Ryzen 5700 is a 5700G with the GPU (graphics core) disabled. It retains the 16 MB level 3 cache and PCIe 3.0 support. The 5700X has twice the level 3 cache (32 MB) and supports PCIe 4.0, while still rated at 65 watts TDP. Avoid the 5700.
At retail price I agree with you half of the cashe for 20$ less is a scam but at current prices it’s a 40 dollar gap + the 5700 have a wraith max which is the best stock cooler it’s as good as 212 hyper cooler master priced at 30$ which makes the gap 70$ and I think 70$ is worth 16 mb of cache
I mistakenly bought this chip thinking it was the x version. I wanted one last upgrade before going am5. I am using a 7900xt. Should I return it(unopened) or use it? I am not a hardcore gamer and only play offline single player games.
I have a gold 500 watt psu with a 6650xt and a ryzen 5 5600g should i upgrade to the 5700x or normal version . I know 5600g and the 5700x have similar tdp but idk which one to choose
I am looking for a good cpu to build my newVirtual pinball pc. the 5700 is 155,- and the 5700x 177,- back here. The 5700 does come with a cooler in the box though.

5700 could be good with 25-30USD less.
Its insane how an octacore only uses 40-50w average.
