My *hypothesis*without any reasearch is that the nervous system plays a bigger role in that. They release melatonin in the body which tell them it's sleep time and then the nervous system controls which portion sleeps. Idk for sure I will search about it later
It controls sleep in humans doesn't mean it does the same thing in other species. It was clearly noted in the video that the different species respond differently to the same hormones. A-M-A-Z-I-N-G !!! tks a lot for the teacher here!!!!!!
This video got me thinking on the other big human hormonal change time in life.... Would you please do a video exploring if Andropause is real and why do only 5 animals go through the Menopause? Do those same 5 also experience some form of Andropause, if it truly exists? As I am in perimenopause, I'm very curious about this...
2:23 that clip looks familiar. Oh, wait I just watched true facts about the self-sacrificing amoeba.
Great video 💜
Love your vdos 💓
Some hormones are produced also in the gut system, not only in the brain...
GARY BUSEY VOICE: "I'M GOING TO PULL YOUR ENTIRE ENDOCRINE SYSTEM OUTSIDE OF YOUR BODY "
Second video about slime mold congregating posted in the same day. Funny.
6:26 been seeing these drawings but never fully understand them. Can someone explain me more about those drawings? What kind of system, why is it has 6 sided shapes, what's the letter means?....
They are just the molecular structures of some of the hormones we have. The letters mean the elements involved like the H being Hydrogen and O being oxygen. The hexagonal rings are carbon rings it's just that they don't want to write C for everything. If there's no label at a bend in the molecule it's assumed to be carbon.
@@perunasolanum3014 A ok, I get it. Thank you 👍

ok when did we rebrand to be smart? I thought it was "its ok to be smart" I've been watching this channel for 3 years how did I not realize this-
I'm just now noticing it as well what the heck. My best guess is that maybe, the name was too long to type into search boxes so people weren't coming back to the channel? Sad change but a necessary one.
