I just wanna say that the design for Reptile in the thumbnail looked so amazing. Like i was physically in absolute awe. Mysterious yet with a sense that this "person" isn't who he say to be while still maintaining the bases of his original ninja costume to be in line with the other iconic ninjas. So mysterious and secretive as a reference to his secret reveal in the arcade days. Its just perfect.

I don't know if Jade would be playable, but she would probably be a Umgadi like Tanya. Let's be honest, Tanya is just Mileena's Jade. I would love to see Jade playable, mainly because the intros would be insane with all the other edinians. It does make sense to bring her back, since she was in Mk11, however I'm not sure.
I don't think Jade would be a Umagadi. In dialogue Lui Kang said "Countess Jade".

@@obi-wanbenkenobi187 Khameleon is in the Umgadi trailer, so there's good evidence she will at least be a kameo; can't say the same for Chameleon, though.
And I don't know that Chrome is anything other than a fan creation at the moment.

What I'm wondering as a cassie cage fan is when is cassie cage coming or is she coming to this at some point? I have only played Mortal Kombat 10 and 11. Since I think cassie cage only appeared in part 10 and by the end in part 11 wouldn't that mean that cassie cage appears much later? So for example only in 10 years or so where then again 4 new parts have come out of Mortal kombat

We still have five chars left, if there is no new character and Nitara, Sindel and Shao are in the roster I hope that the 2 left are 2 out of those 3: Onaga, Hotaru and Kintaro

I don't think they will be in this game.. if you remember, taven and daegon were awakened from their deep slumber by their guardian dragons during the events of Armageddon. They have no reason to awaken currently.

Kano, Jax, Sonya all will be playable, they will be part of the story, even Stryker will most likely be playable. Because I don’t think NRS will choose Ashrah,Nitara, Sareen over those 3 🤷🏼♂️ but you never know… if NRS listening to dudes like unCAGED, then we are in trouble… I still can’t believe that Tremor is just a Kameo…. 🤦🏻♂️

The standing, imo, is preferred over the traditional Uncaged content. It gives off more energy and it also feels like a teacher giving a lecture
it would be so dope if they released MK1 in arcade format too as a callback to original MK. like Lui Kang reset our timeline too and we're back in the arcade 😅
Here’s an interesting idea Ive come up with recently. Possibly in the next Mortal Kombat game, neatherrealm can get all the guest characters to return. I realize that some of these characters would be easier to get than others, with characters, like the joker probably been the easiest, since he's a DC character and Freddy probably being the second easiest, because he is owned by New Line Cinema, which in turn is a smaller branch of WB, while other characters, like alien and predator, might be a little bit more difficult, because they're owned by Fox which is also owned by Disney, and then there are some characters there in between, they may or may not have issues with Jason because the whole lawsuit that kept the Friday the 13th franchise in limbo, but I'm pretty sure they can work something out, because at the end of the day, everything is negotiable. But if this does work, then it would be insane!
Just think of all the craziest matchups that could be made, Joker vs Freddy, Jason vs terminator, Leatherface vs homelander, I could just go on forever! Of course, the storyline for the next game would have to make for a good excuse to have them all in there, like if it was an average Mortal Kombat story mode and nothing too special, then it wouldn't really make much sense, but if it was something on a huge scale, if it was like involving like multiple timelines or the multi-verse or something, then it would be a good opportunity to slip them in. And I don't think they'd be DLC either, in my opinion, they should all be in the base roster. They wouldn't be a part of the story mode however. I think they would all be secret characters that you would unlock upon completing certain chapters of the story mode. This would bring back an old trope in fighting games by involving unlockable characters which is something I don’t think really exists too much in gaming anymore, and would also give casual fans who weren't initially interested in the story mode to play through it in order to unlock them. The reason why I said they should be base roster instead of DLC would be because we would have all the old characters there, while we could still have the door open for new guest characters as DLC. People can say what they will how they feel with guest characters, but if NRS can pull this off, this would be on the same level, as bringing back all the third party characters for smash ultimate!
I would love to see Onaga we haven’t seen him a lot and to be able to play as the dragon king would be amazing

I think Torr should be in either base roster or Kombat pack 2 with ferra coming as dlc. Ferra/Torr is one of those MKX characters I think Should get some love considering how unique and interesting they are for mortal Kombat.

@@dame-time0178shes not on the base roster and she’s not dlc. This game is focusing on Klassic characters from the 3D era, so we thankfully won’t be seeing any of the Kombat Kids in this game at least. Time to give us loads of characters we haven’t seen in years

I honestly can't think a MK game without Sonya Blade. I'm really happy with 3d female characters returning but Sonya's spot still should be safe. I mean she is the first female fighter of this 30 yo franchise, she is like Chun-li from Street Fighter. I never mained her but if you have Johnny Cage in your roster you should have Sonya too. Their interactions are always fun.
I really hope Nightwolf returns and we get a Belmont from Castlevania in Kombat Pack 2. Outside the box cameo Danhausen!

My only rebuttal to this pretty fire wishlist, is the fact that we all have to consider that there will most likely be thrown in some new characters, just because. I mean, it's not a new-gen MK game without at least a couple new characters, so I reckon we have to toss out at least two empty slots from the wishlist to accommodate for that.
I feel like they should also include Kano and Sonya on the base roster as well. Yeah they do appear as Kameo Fighters, but so does Sub Zero, Scorpion, and Kung Lao. Plus since it is called Mortal Kombat 1, I feel it's only fitting we get everyone that appeared in the series debut into the base roster. Maybe have Klassic Raiden appear as a Kameo too?
Hoping to see Nitara, Jade, Ashrah, and Reptile in the base game as well! Reptile could work as either a main roster fighter or even as a Kameo to reflect his origin as a secret non-playable character in the first MK. Noob Saibot Kameo would be dope as well!

Fujin will be in the base roster Catrion will be in the game but not as a playable character, same as sindel. Jade will be a kameo and sadly Erron black will not be in the game

I've my doubts with each choice, but I can see Motaro being Kameo, and PLEASE bring in Jade as base since we've her arch enemy, Tanya! Noob seems not so likely becuz Bi-Han technically IS Noob; he can still be a traitor. Personally, I want Asgaarth to be in MK1, regardless of status, but I REALLY want the Great Kung Lao, either as base or Kameo! And hopefully, Jin as part of the Kombat Pack!

I think there's a high chance of this roster actually turning real, maybe not Sareena but the rest seem pretty reasonable picks. I'm just kinda bored that for the second time MK won't have a bigger monster character, Torr and Goro in MKX were great

As far as I can tell the remaining roster is pretty locked in aside from the final two characters. Which given the choice I’d give to Jade and a wildcard. Maybe Khameleon or Sareena. Although I find that unlikely. I think think Sonya is the most likely. I also think the last Kameo fighters will be weird.

So ashrah, havik and reptile confirmed as base roster. Sareena would be great as base aswell but currently it seems she is “just” cameo. I personally am also quite certain Nitara and Sindel will be base roster. Reiko for sure too. Not sure about General Shao tho. I assume he won’t be that important in this time line. Jade will for sure be there too. So yeah 6 out of 9 are more or less confirmed or already safe. So 3 left which could be some new characters like mk11 introduced? Or some Sareena and Motaro will be playable this would bring it down to 1 left.
I honestly want Fujin to come back as playable character in Mortal Kombat one if he doesn’t come back I’ll be disappoint cause he was awesome in Mortal Kombat 11

I want Tremor from MKX, Cyrax, Sektor, Reptile, Chameleon, and Cyber Hydro from MK Legacy as Playable Kharacters,
I also want them to add the easter egg from UMK3 where if you press a button (not selection button) on Smoke his picture turns into Cyber Smoke, OR they could add Cyber Smoke as a Kameo, but i prefer the UMK3 easter egg.
I also want Havik (playable AND kameo) and Hotaru (Playable AND Kameo)
EDIT: Smoke is Hanzo Hasashi, the website even says in his bio that his family was killed by the Lin Kuei, so yes, Smoke is Hanzo, Scorpion is Kuai Liang, and Sub-Zero is Bi-Han, so Noob, therefore, cannot exist in MK1's timeline, unfortunately, but i would LOVE to see him as a Kameo alongside Quan Chi and Shang Tsung.

How’s everyone forgetting about my boy Meat. If Darius is in as a kameo, I guarantee Meat is coming back.
Sonya and, at least, 2 or 3 new characters must be on the base rooster. Sonya is MK OG, she must be on it. Also I think Khameleon is a Kameo, she was on the Umgadi trailer behind Tanya.
Meat and Mokap should be Kameos. The Kameo system is practically made for characters like them.
I have a feeling after Ashrah, Reptile, and Havik were revealed w/ Sareena as the Kameo, the following will be revealed…

* General Shao
* Sindel
* Shujinko
* Jade OR Onaga (Hopefully as a secret unlockable character like how Frost was in MK11. Jade should especially have a few tricks off her sleeve, using Cetrion’s and Kronika’s powers along with her usual weapons and abilities, making her an unlockable. A reference back to her MK9 ending where she gets possessed by a higher being.)
