Amazing analysis vid Marc! WLOP has such great control over focal points, I'm always amazed by his ability to convey clear ideas through rather rough and messy brushstrokes. It's something I try to achieve when sketching and working on concepts. Thanks for the breakdowns!
Thank you so much! I love WLOP and when I studied his art in detail as you did, it was a surprise to see how the details were painted. I'm very obsessive with that part in my paintings and the detailing take me so long that at the end, I feel tired and bored and don't finish, which is really sad. So it was a real master class and eye opener for me to see WLOP's process, and how is not necessary to paint every single thing, but better dominate lighting, color and composition. And yes! I am happy beyond words that you tried your hand and a deep-dive in WLOP's creative process. Your respect for his work is well-communicated with the cinematic subwoofer thunder, describing each one of his art's support-beams... 😁 There are two artists I would like you to consider big-braining, Marc-Sensei: Shal. E, whose work is similar but different than WLOP's and AKIHITO YOSHITOMI, whose work basically feels like you found a 1980s manga, tucked-away in an antique shop, looked around so no one sees you in the act and took a whiff off the OG inked paper that probably has some lead in it.

Hey Marc, really like this type of content, if i may suggest to observes Kan Liu's art style, specially how he paint floating water, it's just so smooth.
His art style is insane looking up close it is really not that detailed with random strokes but once you look at a distance you can see the whole picture
Id love for you to cover Jiyu Kaze's work. He often goes unnoticed because he deletes his work from time to time. But his rendering is beyond anything ive witnessed from anyone. His Elsa painting from like 8 years ago which can be still found online is stunning. He posted his process too for the piece and its ridiculous.
Wlops art is amazing! I remember asking about how he studied & when he showed his early work to and the leap to what we see now I thought wow! there is hope for me yet lol! Loved this video you should do Stanley Lau (Artgerm) at some point.
I really really love Demizu Posuka's art style. They are the Promised Neverland's manga artist, and thought not exactly mainstream especially in the western sphere, I find their compositions and control over dynamic angles and poses very very cool. Would love it if you did a study on them next time.
You should study Terry Cantal, he's a concept artist that works for Riot Games in several splash arts and his level of detail is just AMAZING. I'm a huge fan. Thank you for all the good work.
Thank you for breaking down the composition a bit, would love more videos on this topic too! And maybe dino_illus or serafleur for a future style-study vid? Or a non-anime master like sargent or van gogh to switch it up :)
your study of WLOP at the end iss very good, even that you tried to keep the colors muted it still looks rather stylized, which isnt bad, just comes to show how our sense of values and saturation differ from artist to artist
His painting style reminds me of hyperrealism, from a distant point of view you see it in great detail, but when you get closer you can see the brush strokes.
Thanks Marc, I understand his style a little bit now. Although, i mainly draw anime illustrations, it's still a good lesson for me just to add on some knowledge from the greats.
I know I have a post talking about a possible artist to study, but I came up with one that I think would be closer to your comfort style, and thats the style of Nobuteru Yuki.
Heaps of people have already said it, but please do Guweiz! He's my favourite artist, and I've tried to study his work in the past but never been able to replicate the style. Also love WLOP, and I think you did a great job breaking it down and replicating a similar style.

Have you ever thought about studying and doing a video about the work of comic book artists who work digitally like Pepe Larraz, Dan Mora, or Jorge Jimenez? I hope you do more video like this.
Huang guang jian next please, his art is so awesome and I think he is a little underrated artist
Also serafleur, her artsyle is very beautiful
Inhad no clue he was this famous!!! Love his art on deviantart, probably my ultimate favorite artist there
I really love today's study, I hope you do a study on Yusuke Murata art😍
Hey Marc, really like this type of content, if i may suggest to observes Kan Liu's art style, specially how he paint floating water, it's just so smooth.
why am i getting a mini heart attack from the explosions now... am i getting old.... anyways.. great vid as always thank you marc
His art style is insane looking up close it is really not that detailed with random strokes but once you look at a distance you can see the whole picture
One of the best talking about one of the best! Can't go wrong!
YEEESSS FINALLY!!! Thank you very much for this, now lets go for rinotuna and Guweiz
It turned out amazingg!!!
You should definitely try out making a study of Bo Chen next!!!
I love this kind of videos. It would be cooler if you show the process of you trying to do the new style. Great content!
Thanks for posting this, I learned a lot! If you could do a study of Bayard Wu's work next, that'd be awesome!
I would love a study video of Ilya Kuvshinov... His style is just chefs kiss.
Wlops art is amazing! I remember asking about how he studied & when he showed his early work to and the leap to what we see now I thought wow! there is hope for me yet lol! Loved this video you should do Stanley Lau (Artgerm) at some point.
Como me encanta WLOP es mi artista favorito.
Please do a study of Zeen Chin.
Loving the series!
I really really love Demizu Posuka's art style. They are the Promised Neverland's manga artist, and thought not exactly mainstream especially in the western sphere, I find their compositions and control over dynamic angles and poses very very cool. Would love it if you did a study on them next time.
I didn’t know I needed this video
Excellent breakdowns, Marc. We all learn from each other and I thank you for sharing the knowledge. 🙏
WLOP, my very first inspiration to do digital artworks.
This kind of video Is what many of us been looking for, to see when a legend breaks down another legend's methods for novice to learn.
It's great....
Can you do samdoesart (hope I spelt it right) next
Amazing video Marc! I would love to see a video like this about the artist Mike Azevedo, he is one of my favorite artists
could you do ruan jia next? your videos are extremely helpful and this being free is absolutely amazing
Amazing video! I'll suggest LinesSensei as next! In his channel he explain in detail his work process
I didn't knew this artist and I fell in love!
In the early years i call him wangling but 0:03 is accurate how we call him 😂😂😂
You did so well !! Thank you for the analysis !! 🙏
Have you ever thought about studying and doing a video about the work of comic book artists who work digitally like Pepe Larraz, Dan Mora, or Jorge Jimenez?
I don't know if its your style or if comics interest you, but but i think it would be super cool. They're all absolutely amazing artists and they have very appealing styles.
