Great job on this episode! Each episode I am more and more convinced he did it. I can accept a few coincidences, but man there’s just way too many here. Forget how he even acted after she disappeared, or how a husband wouldn’t leave an 8month pregnant wife all day, forget all that. The fact that he bought a small, non salt water boat the day he almost got caught by his mistress for being married, then the fact that the day after his pregnant wife is missing he is calling his mistress like life is all good, then how her body literally turned up in the exact spot he fished in. Come on now. I think he killed her the night before and dumped her that next day and he spent a great deal of time planning it. That’s why he did so much research on the Bay (right after getting almost caught being married coincidentally) only to rig the wrong lines for fishing and have the wrong size boat for fishing the bay? Come on now! Guilty as the sky is blue.

100% agree. And he also told the police that he just wanted to get that boat in the water and it was a last minute decision, yet he purchased a fishing license for the 24th and 25th. Not only that, but if the goal was to just get the boat in the water, he could have taken it to any of the surrounding lakes around Modesto, after all the boat was made for fresh water, as you mentioned. After reading the court transcripts, I know he murdererd Laci and Conner. And he's the type that will never admit. I think he will go to his grave being what he is, a murderer and a liar.

Scott tells Amber he lost his wife a couple of weeks before she went missing, and this would be his first Christmas without her. And, by christmas, Laci really was gone!
On the day he said that to Amber he bought a secret boat no one knew about.
He also made five anchors, four of which were never recovered. The one that they did have, didn't match the cement in the driveway, which is where Scott said he'd used the rest of the missing cement, proven in court.
Laci didn't know about, nor had she ever been in the boat, yet, a couple of Lacis hairs were found, wound tightly in some pliers.
Agreed to take a lie detector test, but backed out after his father advised him not to.
Upon returning home, he immediately washed his clothes, ate, and took shower. After getting out of shower, instead of just calling Lacis cell phone one more time, he calls her mom and tells her Laci is missing.
He told, at least, three people he'd been playing golf, before finally sticking to the fishing story.
Speaking of fishing, Scott told the detectives that going fishing that morning had been a last minute decision. But, this was an obvious lie because he'd purchased a two-day fishing license dated for the 23rd & 24th, a few days before. Or, maybe he's just psychic, and predicted he'd be making that "last minute" decision!
When he took the detectives to his warehouse, he led them to believe the power was out, when the truth was, only his office in the warehouse had lighting, but the warehouse, itself, was only lit by a sky light during the day.
When he went to the station to answer questions, he was already refering to Laci in past tense. Saying, "Laci was pregnant." Shouldn't that be IS pregnant? It wasn't past her due date. He did the same thing in his interview with Diane Sawyer. By then, he'd been made aware he shouldn't do that, as he immediately corrects himself saying, "is amazing" after he'd said 'was'. A huge red flag for the detectives on the case.
On the night of Dec 24th, the day Laci went missing, Scott was already inquiring about grief counseling for Lacis family. Really??? She's not even yet gone a full 24hrs! I've never heard of anyone doing that over someone being missing for only a few hours! It just seems like Scott knew she wasn't coming home.
The next day, Scott called the detectives asking them if they'd be bringing in and using cadaver dogs. She hadn't even been gone a full 24hours, and, he is inquiring about cadaver dogs! Another huge red flag to the detectives working the case!
He sold Lacis car while still missing, before her body was found. And, inquired about selling their home before she was ever found too! He even wanted to sell it with all their furniture! Supposedly, he doesn't know if Laci is dead or alive, but has no problem selling her car and their home, with all their stuff in it?
He told lie after lie after lie. Of course the big, well known lie was when he called Amber from Lacis vigil. Right before, during, or after just doesn't matter, at all! His mistress should've been the last thing on his mind at any moment during that event.
It was well known he didn't want children, and wasn't thrilled about Laci being pregnate. Even telling his sister-in-law he was hoping for infertility. Laci telling her mom Scott wouldn't touch her belly to feel baby kicking.
He didn't participate in the searches for Laci, opting instead, to secretly go to the bay, park his car, and just watch the search that was going on in the bay.
Instead of showing grief about his wife being missing he, instead chose to flirt with his sisters baby sitter. Offering to make her drinks he called, "flirtinis". The baby sitter was so weirded out by Scott, she left!
In one of the recorded calls with Amber, Scott tells her that if the police find any evidence, he'd lose his freedom. Not a confession, but close enough!
When the due date, of the birth of his missing baby came around, he didn't have a gathering of friends & family to remember Laci & Conner. No, he didn't do anything at all to remember them. And, that would've been fine, if he chose to do nothing, no problem. But, he DID choose to do something. Since that day was also Ambers Bday, Scott chose to celebrate it, by hiding a bag of jewelry and a CD, etc for Amber to pick up. It seems it was Amber he wanted to remember & honor, not his missing wife & baby.
When a body of a baby washed ashore, and then a body of a woman who had been pregnant washed ashore shortly after, within just a couple of miles from where he says he was 'fishing', he never even called anyone about it to see if it was Laci.
About a week or so later, he was caught trying to flee with just about everything he owned, BUT his golf clubs and golf shoes. I add that he didn't have his clubs & shoes because Scott tried telling the cops that he was just going to play golf, not flee! However, the list of things he had with him is just as long, if not longer than my list here. What avid golfer goes to play golf with everything he owns BUT his clubs & shoes?
I could go on & on! I know there's more, but I'm drawing a blank on the rest. Can anyone else think of anything I've forgotten?
Okay so, one or two things on this list would be maybe a coincidence. three or four things --- sketchy, but okay.
All these things plus more --- he's guilty, guilty, guilty! And, I don't even have it all listed here.

      Great comment.
The one anchor Scott had in the boat had not rope on it.
Ladies was found with beige pants on, not black. Which was the colour of pants she was wearing on the evening of 23rd, when Scott and Lacie went to the hair dressers.
Scott was surprised after he returned home from fishing and he sees Lacie's car in the driveway, and the dog with the leash on but he doesn't hit the panic button when the house door is not locked. Also her keys and phone are in the kitchen.
He never once says Connor's name, he only says baby. Scott never says, I love my wife.
He actually increase their life insurance policy a couple of months before Lacie's death.
They were having money problems, as Lacie was selling her jewelry so Scott goes out and buys a boat. The money Scott used to buy the boat came from a personal bank account only in Scott's name.
Scott left the house on the 24th closer to 10 am and the dog was put in the backyard at 10:18 am. Not much time for a sightings of Lacie to take place.
All in all Scott is exactly where he belongs, in jail. Now that death row is off the table, Scott will be in the general population. I hear inmates are not keen on murders of women and unborn babies. Just saying.

What makes me laugh is, in the documentary, The Murder of Laci Peterson, there's a lot of pro Scott people there and one guy, a defence lawyer who I think works with Scott's Lawyer, he talks about the hair in the pliers and he's saying something like "I would hope they'd find her hair there, she's his wife, her hair should be everywhere" I'm over here going...her hair isn't everywhere though, it's in a pair of pliers. 🙄

Can you imagine someone murdering your daughter, and discovering it's your own son-in-law who won't admit he did this when everything points to him? He had no heart to tell the family where he put her, after months of searching!!! Unbelievable!!!
Sharon Rocha had to deal with all that and on top of it Scott lying the entire time to her and the Rocha family.
Scott wouldn't even let the Rocha's in the house he and Laci shared to get her things. They had to break into the house to get Laci's belongings.
Scott, and the entire Peterson family are horrible, horrible people. All they want is Scott out of prison because he's just so precious to them. Scott is extremely dangerous, more than most of those murderers in prison because he is so calculating, and narcissistic and can lie straight to your face. If he ever gets out, he will murder another innocent soul. And by the way, the Peterson's can care less that he killed Laci and Conner. All they want is Scott out of prison. I hope he NEVER gets out!!

He changed his mind just last minute in the morning so it appeared he was trying to pull a fast one. Lastly, they knew about his color changed hair and changed facial hair, he colored his hair but said it got even lighter because of being in a pool in the sun. So many little details are often skewed because people wanted him to burn in hell. But I believe there was a reasonable doubt and so he should have been acquitted and found guilty in the civil court

I always had that feeling if he was innocent. If they had a bad marriage, hated each other, Scott starts cheating, then he probably already emotionally detached himself from Laci and moved on. I’m a successful doc who would never murder anyone outside of defending my life or my family’s and truth be told, I see a lot of myself in Scott or vise versa however you want to put it. The boat...so many things about the boat....I think he never meant for anyone to know he went out to 'fish' (I know, duh)- I think he bought a freshwater boat to maybe be able to say "I never owned a boat that I would take out on the ocean"...It maybe later occurred to him that they would be able to tell that it had been in the ocean- and he maybe had to come out with that if he was seen, too. That's why golf fell through. Maybe the theory about him going out earlier in the morning is true, and then he had to take it out again because he realized the same thing- that they would know it was in salt water that day. He likely had several backup plans if this was something he plotted to do. I think he was also already planning to do this before he even met Amber, because he already had solid excuses on their first date for why he was not going to be seeing her for months. If Laci were still alive, you'd think he would be able to sneak off like he had been....but he seems like he knew he would need to stay away from her for a while to not get busted- it's not like he told the police about her.

Thanks for bringing up a point that I've wondered about- why was he fishing at the absolute wrong time of day?? Was it because he hoped that he'd be able to avoid being seen, by going out on a day (Christmas Eve) when there were not likely to be many other boats out, at a time when few fishermen would actually be out on the water? And that going out in the middle of the night would potentially draw attention? But still, as you said, if *anyone* was out during the time he chose, they'd be likely to see him! And, as you also said, I've wondered how he could've managed to dump a body overboard (especially a weighted body!) into choppy water without capsizing the boat!
Also, his phone message reminds me A LOT of Jodi Arias's voicemail to her recently-murdered ex-boyfriend! Like, disconcertingly so: the oddly-stilted cutesy tone, the seemingly-faked emotion, the overly-chipper and forcedly-casual manner of speaking...ugh.

In the intervening years all I knew was there were 2 men tried and convicted of killing their wive’s named Petersen and this was the other guy. Since starting to listen to TP they have referenced the case enough that I finally decided to see what it’s all about. So far (in this series) what you think of him hangs on whether or not you think what Scott does that particular Dec is strange and weird, or familiar and commonplace. That’s it. Lacis phone and bag was in the house.
If Laci had taken dog for a walk she would have had her bag and phone with her - so she didnt go for a walk.
Strange how he didnt have any concern.
This creep went on xmas eve because he thought there would be few people around.
Police would be few on the ground. People would be away with their families so not in their normal routines.
It was the perfect time to dump a body.
He never thought they would wash up on shore- he really thought he would get away with it.
    No body - no murder.
    RIP LACY AND CONNOR.

People do act in all sorts of ways in stressful situations but he is way too casual in the police interview, he looks bored, un interested and almost cocky.
