      Absolutely! Love that he's not above just going out and having fun and playing with people no matter their skill level. You can't watch this video and not smile and have a good time, even if you know nothing about chess.

      If you burn all your time on a handful of moves, it’s easier to play solid. Until you get flagged…
      Losing on time is the face-saving method, as opposed to the second guy who is probably very good but played it like an actual blitz game and blundered all his pieces, cause well, it’s Hikaru…

      1300... I think I'd give him a solid game.
      I think more towards the mid / endgame he'd be up a pawn or two which would be enough for me to easily lose against him.
      My best bet would be probably to find a forced draw. But then he'd probably rule that out by blocking it ahead of time.
      500 elo I'm not too sure about 😅

    Props to the first kid! Played solid and didn’t collapse under pressure, quite resourceful. Survived like a beast. I would have liked to see that game finish. always love these episodes

    Coffee chess and hikaru have the same goal which is to make chess more popular in this country and seeing them collaborate has been awesome. Coffee chess is who got me back into chess and introduced me to hikarus channel. I'm gonna miss these collaborations!

    9:11 - You can tell by Hikaru's face that it is forced mate and you should resign, I noticed that he spot forced mate when went with the knight check, it was mate in 4 but he saw instantly before I saw the mate in 1

    I gotta mention as a Hikaru fan, this guy was playing at IM strength when he was 10. He is definitely the Fischer of our time and as I comment, recently won Norway Chess where Magnus came in about 6th or 7th......Think of it as more like a lesson rather than a real game. Imagine something like singing a duet with Pavarotti or chatting about physics with Hawking or Tyson. But NGL you coffee guys are pretty strong players, mad props. All of you would smoke me, I've got some studying to do.
