Got mine too. Wow it’s deep. An infinity of self-patching options, and the most bizarre noises you’ll ever tease out of a couple of VCOs. And I’ve barely scratched the surface…
Building the nearest thing to a Buchla system in eurorack must have been irresistible! I like that you have kept the thing musical. I think this complex osc would be something I would buy. Ive only ever used emulators. But I love the sound you are making!
I enjoy watching your gear videos because you actually create interesting music instead of the typical generic techno-style tunes that are prevalent in this UA-cam corner.
@@Stazma I'm rethinking my #2 dream rack to have a FULL Buchla row already having the 4x LPG and resonator, and now that I've heard their complex oscillator... yeah... the ARP lover in me is grooving. Like ARPs & CS80s, Buchla has a real ORGANIC quality. Isolating squarewave partials creates a REALISTIC 'UFO motor" sound that AIN'T digital or moogy The simplicity of it over something like Akemie's Castle or Cyclebox is awesome, and it sounds better than folding. Yeah, the row definitely needs a Buchla folder even if Chopping Kinky is my fave and I'm all over folding with tubes, distortion, & plasma etc. You can't have a Buchla without a wave folder. It's the law. OK... this unit has folding. Now to find other modules
make the shootout super-long - like longer than the Lord of the Rings trilogy. And have the Battle for Helms Deep oscillator showdown be like 2 hours. ❤❤ 💍 🏰 🏰
@@Stazma Thanks. I understand and yes, the moment i realized the possibilities around the Harmonics/Timbre Section alone, it clicked for me. Thanks Stazma and thanks for your amazing Videos ✌️

Can't wait to get mine, but waiting gives me time to think and prepare for it.
Haha I'm sure you'll love it and can't wait to see your nice video about it ;-)
This is a fantastic walkthrough of a module that is very much on my wish list. Thanks for the great work on this.

Such great sounds. Love it. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for the kind words ;-)
Bravo J!!....et merci pour la video.

Haha thanks that’s a bit of my battle, so many techno made with these things and not so much jungle / idm / acid.
such fun - thanks!
Loved that groove @ 22:50
Great vid! Nice tunes too!🎉
Thanks ;-)
Suena increíble
I'm a Cs-L guy. can't justify both, but I'd love to spend some time with the 259t
Never tried the Cs-L but it seems awesome.
buchla gear seems to have a wet/rubbery sound quality. the spectral resonator makes similar textures.
Yes indeed

I dig. but I've already have brenso as my complex oscillator and I've only just started my journey with that.
We're convinced; the rationale is sound.
Brenso is a great rework of the core concept of the 259, it has an even more insane sonic potential (at the cost of many tiny knobs hehehe)
great! finally!
What is the difference in the sound character between DPO and 259t?
DPO is more throaty / vocal and bass heavy. I’ll be doing a shootout video between all the complex oscillators I have ;-)
That's great can't wait!
oh, that’ll be great!
@@Stazma le 259 verbos gagne, je veux rien savoir
@@schaff909 T’inquiète il est vraiment très bon le Verbos, niveau son en sortie direct c'est probablement mon préféré.
NIIIIIIICEEEEEEEE
How do you find it compared to the Verbos CO?
It cleaner and more mis range oriented. Mega complex oscillator shootout coming soon.

Collide 4 and now this... Universe really wants me to stay poor. PS. great jungle vibes and sounds!
So I need 4 of them
A four voice poly with this guy would be fun for sure hahaha
I see a buchla 259 for 1500! 😱
The TipTop 259T is 699,-€ here in Europe incl. Tax…i find it a bit Steep….but i am a noob and can imagine this Module is worth every Penny? 🤷♂️
You mean a 4U one I guess ?
There’s much more going on inside these « complex oscillators » than the usual so all of these are expensive.

If you absolutely had to chose one single maker for the rest of your life, serge, Buchla or other?
I often say if I have to keep only one piece of gear it would be my 4U Serge system
@@Stazma hell yeah. Love serge and you make some of the best serge videos out there. Can’t wait for the vc res eq video.
