Hello there!
Back on the 296t with a requested "basic" overview. I decided to go in two parts, here's the first one, focusing on the audio side of the module, how to use the inputs and many outputs, with some patching exemples.
Have fun!

Love this breakdown of the 296t - very inspiring! 🙏🏽
Many thanks !
Yes, more of this module please! Such good stuff
Thanks will keep them coming
This is a serious sound design module that rewards experimentation. Thanks for the wonderful demonstration. 🎉🎉🎉
Thanks ;-)
yes more please..this seems almost endless...always enjoy your content..ty
Many thanks ;-)
This is the video I've been waiting for!!!!
Haha many thanks sir ;-)
Great demonstration, and yes, please do more on the 296t. Thank you.
You’re welcome, and sure there’s more videos with it in the work.
Another really useful video -- while it's not urgent I'd love to see more on this beauty!
Glad it’s helpful and yes indeed there’s going to be more ;-)
At first I thought, I won't need that module for sure. After this clip, I'm not so sure. That sounds gorgeous!
It really is a beautiful module. Nothing else sounds like a fixed filter bank!
It was the one I expected the most to be honest, such a monster of a module.
@@Stazma quickly becoming the heart of my system in its own weird way!
such good sounds!
Yes indeed !
I have most of the other Buchla/Tiptop modules, just lacking this and the other newish one. I wasn't sure what this one could do. You answered that here. Looking forward to picking this one up. I like your placement of it in a skiff. I may do that, too, as this module is enormous.
Glad it was helpful, it’s indeed a beast !
Great patch, it really does sound like a much bigger system with a complex patch would be producing the sound! Todd is such a legend and he really does amazing things with the 296, he did a whole album featuring the 296 on every track.
I could for sure make an album using this on every single sound hahaha. It can be as subtle as crazy weird. Anyway for sure Todd is a legend.
Fucking brilliant. Messed around with the Buchla / TT system a few hours ago at the music store and it's incredible, pretty convinced I'll have to build this system now
8:16 "so we can be High, and modulate backwards"
Excellent demo/tutorial !! Off to Patreon for me ;)
Excellent 👌 thanks a lot sir ;-)
Complex source video would be appreciated.
Btw, super travail Stazma!
It’s in the work
Hi. This a nice one. I was searching online if there were any demo of feedback with the 296t from Buchla and tiptop and don't find anything. I'm curious to find out how it performs compared to the Serge Resonant EQ.
There is some feedback patches by Todd Barton on his channel ;-)
What is that sequencer module beside the 296t?
A good old 8S by Transient Modules, with Buchla knob added ;-)
Great video and great sounds! By the way, what is that little sequencer on the left? Merci!
Thanks! The small seq is a 8S by Transient Modules ;-)
I was planning on purchasing the Verbos Harmonic oscillator (love the warm sound) but not sure anymore after seeing what this 296T can do. I know the Verbos HO is an oscillator but the 296T (paired with the 258T dual VCO) can do more complex patching. What do you think?
Indeed very different different sounding thing and approach to sound. For sure 258 + 296 will get more crazy than just the HO tho.
I have made a demo of the HO as well by the way, if you’re curious:

Wow……wow….❤❤❤❤❤❤

dumb question but just racked mine up - seems to be working but the LEDs aren't lit up. any intel on what causes the LEDs to light and whether or not I should be concerned lol
No concern they only seem to light up with very snappy transients ;-)
@@Stazma thanks for alleviating some of my anxiety! feel blessed to have one of these bad boys it sounds soooo good
pls do the envelope follower follow up video ! :_)
Lovely, kinda wished I never watched this though. My wallet is hiding under the bed, afraid about what could happen. Looking forward to the more complex video coming up
Thanks and sorry hehehe

Plaît-il ?
Urgent …. Soooo urgent
Hahahahaha c’est noté ;-)
Ughh.. your voice is just wayyy too much. I’m sorry. Thanks for the video though
Hahaha that’s alright, there’s quite a few youtuber I can’t watch because of their voice too. But I’m curious to know what turned you off exactly ? Too low? Too loud? Too much French accent?
a combination of the deepness and probably the accent. just not my cup of tea. still I do appreciate that you're putting stuff out there for the synth community. so thank you@@Stazma
@@Stazma love the accent (and amazed that you're explaining such complex things in a second language. . .)
@@russ254 thanks ;-)
