Fabulous voice! I first heard Jerome Hines sing a shorter version of this song back in the late 50s when stereo sound was being introduced (by RCA, in this case). I have listened to that version ever since--on Thanksgiving Day, which seems appropriate. His wonderful bass voice seems perfect for this song. I just cannot think of any other bass singer doing as good a job. The song, as he sings it, is somehow very warm-hearted and comforting on this day. Blessings to all. I used to hear this on WFME many years ago. I forgot the name of the book he wrote which have it somewhere. Mr. Hines was a great man of faith.
