i spent a few hours to answer all the questions. summary is at the end. 1. how long does God's anger last? answer: that's up to God, if a person repents they are forgiven, if they don't repent they go to hell forever. so his anger is forever and not forever at the same time. it depends on if the person repents. its not contradiction its lack of understanding. 2. does Yahweh tempt people? answer: God doesnt tempt but God allows people to be tempted by satan. God only test people. Abraham sacrificing his child was a test, not a tempt. 3. is a man justified by faith or works or both? answer: a man is justified by faith but faith should lead you into good works. you cannot say you have faith and do bad works then you didn't have faith. faith leads to the good works. 4. has anyone seen God or no one has seen God? answer: when people see God in the old testament they see a vessel of God, like Moses seeing God, but hes seeing a burning bush, or clouds, etc. that is not God, for God is spirit and eyes cannot see God. what they saw is a vessel of God that God spoke through to them. No man hath seen God the Father except the Son of God Jesus Christ. and even the body Jesus had was a vessel he used because he said he existed with the father before coming on earth. 5. does Yahweh delight in burnt offerings? answer: you have to obey him first. the verses are not contradicting, God is telling the people that when he brought their fathers Moses etc out of the land of Egypt he didn't tell them anything concerning burnt offering, but he told them specifically to obey him. the people didnt care about obeying God but they cared about burnt offering. if you read in context its easy to understand. 6. is God the author of evil? answer: what is evil? God would punish people in hell is that evil?. evil is relative. other translations say, God creates calamity. calamity is also like destroying people in sodom and gomorrah by fire, is that evil?. again, evil is relative. when God does something we don't call it evil although it can be a calamity. 7. was humans created before the animals? answer: Genesis 1 is giving you a day by day steps. Genesis 2 is not giving you any day by day steps, genesis 2 is giving you different stories together not step by step. the point is, God created humans and animals in one day, there's also possibility he created some animals first, then human second then other animals etc. again, its not an hour by hour to-do list, its a whole day by day what was done in the day. 8. on the road to Damascus did paul's travelling companions hear the voice that spoke to paul? answer: acts 9 : 7 is clear, they heard the voice they couldn't see who spoke. acts 22 : 9, says they didn't understand. some translations write they "heard not". the point is, they heard but they didn't understand. another meaning for "heard not" is inaudible, meaning you're hearing but you cannot get what is being said, like you're listening to another language. imagine you're speaking to a friend and he quickly speaks another language, and you ask him, hey i didn't hear what you said, basically you heard it but you didn't understand and since you didn't understand you think you didn't hear it. in short they heard but didn't understand. 9. will the earth last forever? answer: other verse the author says one generation passes and another comes but the earth would last forever. the author is contrasting the humans passing to the earth always existing. its like saying, generations have come and gone but this earth is always here meaning generations would still come and go and the earth would still be here. the word forever, is actually flexible, it means a long time, example in the bible verse psalm 23 : 6, it says "and i would dwell in the house of the lord forever" does it mean we live in the house of God eternity? no. the author is saying he would be with God till the end of his life on earth. so in short its misunderstanding by people. secondly, some Christians believe there would be a new earth with paradise. so technically the earth would still be for eternity. 10. is Jesus the only man to have ascended to heaven? answer: Jesus was speaking here saying "If I told you earthly things and you do not believe, how will you believe if I tell you heavenly things? No one has ascended into heaven, but He who descended from heaven: the Son of Man." two answers, there is possibility Jesus is telling the people hes speaking to, none of them has ascended to heaven. which is the fact. secondly, Jesus is telling the people, he came down from heaven so he has superior knowledge. no one has ascended to heaven and back with such a knowledge. do you think Jesus doesnt know prophets ascended to heaven? no. context is important.
11. are children to be put to death for the sins of the father? answer: Only God can do that. we are not to put children to death for the sins of the father. but same as God destroyed sodom and gomorrah, likely they had children, meaning the children likely suffered for the sins of their parents. so as moses law, we humans are not to put people to death for the sins of their fathers. 12. does God rest? answer: no. the verses he quoted doesnt say anything about God resting. but there are verses like God resting on the 7th day. it doesnt literally mean he went to rest for energy. it simply means he stopped creation. if you don't work on a day, its considered rest day, but are you really resting if you aren't tired?. no. its simply misunderstanding, applying basic logic to a verse. 13. how many valiant men of soldiers? answer: he took two different books of the bible and expect them to have the same number? lol. should they go to war everyday with the same number of soldiers? such a silly logic. its basically two different stories. 14. how many horse men? answer: same as above. two different stories from different books of the bible. 15. how many shekels? answer: Two different stories. 16. David killed how many men? answer: two different stories. what did they expect? David to only have one war?. such a silly logic. this is hilarious very weak atheist arguments. 17. how many people reviled Jesus on the cross? answer: you're comparing stories of witnesses of an event writing their accounts. one author says, those who were crucified with Jesus were insulting him, another says, One of them was insulting him, meaning the authors heard he was insulted. so they insulted Jesus and one repented later on. 18. how many blind men Jesus healed at Jericho one or two ? answer: Jericho is a city Jesus went frequently, there is possibility its different days or different times of the same day. the logic of the atheist is funny, hes expecting one miracle one event one person. Jesus performed miracles throughout the cities back and forth. 19. how many people visited Jesus tomb? answer: the logic of the question is flawed. when i write a story and say, trump visited india, and another person writes the story and says trump and his son visited india and another person says trump and all his security and his son visited india is it contradictory? no. each author is writing what they think its important to know. you take all together and form the complete story. the gospels are accounts of different authors of the life of Jesus, why would you expect them to copy paste from each other? lol. i really laughed at this question. 20. original designated punishment for fortune telling? answer: death. when Jesus came he brought sin and repentance. that's why when they were about to stone the adulterer Jesus said, he without sin cast the first stone, and Jesus forgave her. but God would still punish fortune tellers with hell which is the second death. 21. hitting your parents? answer: not death. do you think they just killed people for just tapping their parents? be realistic. the verse is regarding people who hit/beat their parents to the extent could cause death. 22. cursing parents? answer: this form of cursing is different from the modern form of cursing where we use swear words. that form of cursing was a spiritual form of cursing using the name of God its similar to spiritism. you can research on this as explained by Jews themselves. you think they're going to kill their kids for saying f*ck you dady?. lol. 23. a person who rejects the verdict of the judge or priest must be put to death? answer: Moses is telling them anyone who doesnt obey the priest or judge appointed by God in the land they are going, the person who disobeys their verdict must be put to death. it was considered contempt of court to disobey the verdict of the judge.
24. death for following another religion or not seeking Yahweh? answer: it says to the Jews he that sacrifices to another God except Yahweh should be put to death. the law applied only within themselves. they dont apply this law now because of Christ taking our sins away as we can easily repent. but people who still worship other gods would still face hell which is the second death. 25. prostitution or adultery death? answer: yes that was the punishment then, and Jesus forgave the adultery. as above, we have now repentance. but those who don't repent would face the second death, hell. 26. the rest of the round was the same repetition of the laws and the punishment which my answer would be the same as above 24 25. 27. rich as blessing, or giving to the poor? answer: we are blessed with riches and also we are supposed to help the poor then we get blessed more. its a cycle. 28. did the temple curtain rip before or after Jesus died? answer: it ripped during the time Jesus died. you're reading an account of three people, and the temple was at a different location from his crucifixion location, so they later heard the temple robe split into two, and this was because of his death, do you expect them to copy paste eachother story? no. one writes, after he died, one writes as he was dying. the point is, the robe split during his death. its like someone writes a story and say, he saw two cars in an accident on the street in the morning, another person later in the afternoon goes to see the cars at the same location not towed away, he says, he saw two cars in an accident. the point is they are giving the vital story of two cars that had an accident since they both might have not even seen the exact time the cars collide. the disciples were at the cross, they got news the robes split in the temple. why would you expect them to copy eachother story?. lol. 29. who put the purple robe on Jesus, Pilate soldiers or Herod soldiers? answer: the next verse says "12 And the same day Pilate and Herod were made friends together: for before they were at enmity between themselves." in short, their soldiers. he was sent between Pilate and Herod consistently, meaning eachside soldiers were moving from one base to the other so if he was worn a robe at any of the sides base the other side army who brought him along would also join in, since they are friends. 30. did Jesus curse the fig tree before or after driving the merchants from the temple? answer: you're comparing witnesses writing an event of what they recalled happening on a day. why would you expect them to copy paste eachother?. the gospel of Mathew is known to be arranged topically rather than chronologically. 31. was Jesus born during the reign of Herod or during the governorship of Caesar?. answer: he didn't have a problem with Pilate and Caesar regarding Jesus robe, but he now has a problem with Herod and Caesar both being leaders? lol this atheist is funny. then they didn't have a country, they had people ruling districts like cities, so they had different leaders at different jurisdictions. 32. when the women arrived at Jesus tomb was the tomb opened or closed? answer: none of the verses say they arrived at a closed tomb, it says, the one that the atheist thought it suggested that, says the women came to see the tomb, meaning they took the journey to go see the tomb. likely the tomb was opened before they arrived and they met the keepers or security running back. 33. did Judas die by hanging or dying by falling and spilling his guts? answer: both, the hanging verse doesnt even say that's how he died. it just said he hanged himself. the later verse shows he actually died, so both is right, he hanged himself and fell and died. so in summary. i. read the verses in context. ii. understand that the gospels are written in level of importance or chronology based on the author. iii. the laws of death was practiced and now we can repent, but if people don't repent they face second death which is hell. basically we have easier repentance. iv. some stories are different.
@@thehonesttruth415 I've tried posting this a couple times, but I don't see anything. I'm going to try splitting it up as well and see if that makes a difference. I’m not sure why you responded to me instead of just making a regular comment (which would be toward the actual creator of the video), but I’ll give it a go I guess. 1. Did you actually look at the verses he referenced? Jeremiah 17:4 says, “I will enslave you to your enemies in a land you do not know, for you have kindled my anger, and it will burn forever.” It doesn’t say “and it will burn forever unless you repent.” Micah also doesn’t mention anything about repentance. Funny how God doesn’t seem to care about repentance until the new testament. 2. Ah yes, the distinction between temptation and testing. You’re right though, Abraham wasn’t tempted, because tempting implies some benefit if he does it. The reason Abraham was totally willing to murder his son was because he was afraid of God: “Now I know that you fear God, because you have not withheld from me your son, your only son.” I’m not sure why the all-loving and all-merciful God would tell someone to murder their son, and I’m doubly not sure why such a god would want a prophet that’s willing to murder their own son just because God said to, but okay. 3. Again, did you even look at the verses? James 2:24 says, “You see that a person is considered righteous by what they do and not by faith alone,” and Romans 3:28 says, “For we maintain that a person is justified by faith apart from the works of the law.” Those are clearly and directly contradictory. And before you say, “But different authors!” or something, let me remind you that the point of the video is not necessarily to “disprove” the bible, it’s to show that it is self-contradicting. The bible is supposed to be the infallible word of God, which is why it’s taken so seriously, no? So every time you say, “Well actually, it’s okay that the bible contradicts itself because it was written by multiple fallible humans,” you’re only proving the point of the video. Perhaps you should read the description because you clearly haven’t already. 4. There are plenty of instances of people seeing God, such as Genesis 32:30 where Jacob sees him “face to face,” but okay. Let me guess, they’re all out of context or not interpreted correctly. “Face to face” doesn’t actually mean face to face, right? It must be nice to able to pick what fits your belief and ignore all the rest. Can you answer two questions for me? Is God all powerful or not? Because if he is, he can do whatever the fuck he wants, like appear in front of humans with his true form. And is God human-like? Christians say all the time that we’re made in God’s image, so why can’t he appear in his true form? Is he not human-like? If he is, what is so shocking about his true form that we can’t see it? 5. “You have to obey him first” is not an answer to a yes or no question. Does God or does God not enjoy ritualistically sacrificing animals by fire? Here’s God speaking in Gen 22:2; “Take your son, your only son, Isaac, whom you love, and go to the region of Moriah. Sacrifice him there as a burnt offering.” 6. Ignoring the verses again I see. Isaiah 45:7 specifically says, “I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.” Are you going to say it’s a mistranslation or something? Because again, read the description of the video. Also, are you really arguing for relative morality right now? Last I checked, the main Christian position is that morality comes from God and is objective. NonStampCollector has other videos showcasing plenty of “evil” things that Yahweh has done, and if you’re going to say, “But when God does it, it’s not actually evil, it’s just a ‘calamity,’” then why does anyone need the bible for morality? Plenty of people have a sense of morality that these things God has done are wrong, so either morality doesn’t come from God or God is immoral according to the morals that HE gave us. 7. And how do we even know any of this happened? You mention several times that “Oh this is just because there’s different authors recounting their own experience,” but I’m pretty sure there weren’t any fuckin humans around when God created all of existence. So we’re supposed to just trust shit like this because “the bible says it happened so it did,” but in other areas that becomes “well there’s different authors”? 8. Read the description of the video. The bible is supposed to be the instructions from an all-powerful being, so it should be pretty damn clear, but it isn’t. Many people claim that the bible is infallible, and the point of this video is to show that it isn’t. This is supposed to be one of the most important documents in existence, created by the most powerful being in existence to spread his message, and yet you have to sit there and explain, “Well actually, it says one thing but that’s not what it actually means.” 9. Okay, sure, but there’s still the same issue as 8. “I know this is the most essential book in the world that tells you how to save yourself so you don’t suffer in hell forever (which apparently might not actually be forever since forever apparently doesn’t mean forever), but you have to interpret it very carefully because it’s not very clear cut with its meanings.” The fact that there are so many different Christian sects only proves this even more. Why is your interpretation correct whereas “some Christians” are wrong? All the different sects believe different things even though they all use the same book, and that’s a problem. 10. Jesus specifically says that no one has ever gone into heaven except himself, and the other verse says Elijah went to heaven. This isn’t a matter of context, it’s a matter of Jesus saying something that is contradictory to another part of the bible. Even if you’re correct, the point of the video is that the bible cannot be taken at face value.
11. Oh okay, so as long as God does it, it’s fine. I mean, in my mind, punishing someone for something they didn’t do simply because their parents did it is morally wrong, but when God does it, it’s not evil. It’s just a “calamity” huh? God is all-loving and all-merciful, except when he isn’t and punishes children for no reason because he’s a jealous psychopath. 12. “It’s simply misunderstanding.” Are you perhaps “misunderstanding” the definition of the word “weary”? You can also pull whatever mental gymnastics you want about how God isn’t ACTUALLY resting when it says rest, but the bible says that he rests. Even if you’re correct here, you’re only further proving that the bible can’t be taken at face value because it doesn’t actually mean what it says. 13. Oh okay. So when there’s a problem with eye witness accounts, it’s “They’re just retelling their own version so it’s expected that there would be some inaccuracies,” but here it’s “They’re not even the same story.” How convenient. Well, Mr. Context-is-important, when you look at the rest of those verses, it looks like the same story to me. 2 Samuel 24:2 says, “So the king said to Joab and the army commanders with him, ‘Go throughout the tribes of Israel from Dan to Beersheba and enroll the fighting men, so that I may know how many there are,’” and 1 Chronicles 21:2 says, “ So David said to Joab and the commanders of the troops, ‘Go and count the Israelites from Beersheba to Dan. Then report back to me so that I may know how many there are.’” They both also mention David feeling guilt and God giving David three options, among other things. They are so clearly the same story, you must be delusional to think they aren’t. 14. Same as above. Are you genuinely delusional, or are you just smoking something? Reading 2 Samuel 8 and 1 Chronicles 18 is like reading the same damn thing. “He defeated the Philistines, then he defeated the Moabites, then he defeated Hadadezer son of Rehob, king of Zobah.” Are you telling me he fucking fought and defeated Hadadezer son of Rehob, king of Zobah twice? It’s painfully obvious that they’re the same story. It’s strange that you try to act like they aren’t, but for other issues you try to argue that “it’s just the author’s retelling.” 15. This is in the same damn chapter as 13, and again, they’re so obviously the same story about David building an altar. I don’t know if you’re just in denial or if you genuinely think these are different stories, but either way, your opinion on the bible isn’t very credible at this point. 16. We’re still dealing with Samuel and Chronicles, which are apparently the same damn book, so why would these be different stories? After describing the chief killing 300/800 in one encounter, they both go on to talk about Eleazar and how he fought with David at Pas Dammim and how three of the thirty chief warriors came to see David at Adullam. What do you hope to accomplish by suggesting that they’re not the same story when they clearly are? 17. What are you even talking about right now? Each story specifically says two criminals are crucified with Jesus but give different accounts about what they say. It’s not just a matter of “Well we heard insults.” Mark and Matthew both says that both rebels insulted Jesus, but Luke says that one was nice to Jesus. There’s eyewitness testimony and then there’s lying. If one of the criminals was nice to Jesus, why would Mark and Matthew not mention that? Frankly, I’m surprised you didn’t try to tell us that they were just talking about different stories. 18. Potentially, but this is talking about the same story. Mark, Matthew, and Luke all keep repeating each other, and this is the same. There’s mention of “the Little Children and Jesus” in both Mark and Luke, “Jesus Predicts His Death a Third time” in all three, and so on. They also all talk about the story of the blind man, and it’s pretty clearly the same story. It’s pretty easy to see that when you look at the context, which is something you supposedly love so much. Jesus, his disciples, and a large crowd leave/approach Jericho, there’s a blind man/men who start shouting, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!” The man is then rebuked by the crowd, but he shouts again. It’s the same story, but somehow the eyewitnesses got confused about how many blind people there were. 19. “Why would you expect them to copy paste from each other?” I don’t know, maybe because they’re talking about the same events? Imagine being a juror on some murder case, and the first witness says, “The body was discovered by Mary.” The second witness says, “The body was discovered by Mary and the other Mary.” The third witness says, “The body was discovered by Mary, Mary, and Salome.” Wouldn’t you be like, “Why are these people giving me different versions of the same event?” You would think that one of the most important events in the world - the literal son of God rising from the dead - people would be consistent about things. The authors aren’t just being generic, they’re mentioning these people by name. You’re also ignoring the angel part, where some mention two angels and some only mention one angel. Are you seriously going to tell me that these dumbass authors thought it was insignificant to mention how many angels there were? “Two angels came down? Eh, the audience only needs to know that there was one angel.” 20. Yes, congratulations, that’s what the video said. The whole point of this segment, in case you missed the intro to it, is that God is supposed to be all-loving and all-merciful, and “death” being the answer to anything runs counter to that. 21. “Hitting your parents isn’t punished by death, the verse is only talking about children who hit their parents REALLY HARD, only then are they punished by death.” - You. 22. First of all, you’re not denying that the penalty is death. Secondly, you’re nuts. You make it sound like these children are getting killed because they’re performing some satanic ritual, but in actuality, the punishment is death simply for using God’s name in the “curse.” So no, they don’t get killed for saying, “Fuck you daddy,” they get killed for saying, “God damn you daddy.” Either way, it still isn’t very all-loving and all-merciful. 23. Again, you’re not denying that the punishment is death. You can explain it as much as you want and make it seem very reasonable from this perspective or that perspective, but from the perspective of “God loves everyone and is full of mercy,” death is not an appropriate punishment.
NonStampCollector was just on a UA-cam live stream last week! He was very surprised that almost 200 people were online with him within a few minutes & said he expected that maybe 3 or 4 people would eventually wander on. It was a very nice surprise to hear from him live.
NonStampCollector a good way to stay relevant in the online world is to make content more often than a couple times per decade hehe it’s been years since I saw this video for the first time but it’s so good and for as long as Christianity is a relevant topic this will be a relevant video
i spent a few hours to answer all the questions. summary is at the end. also everyone should checkout youtube channel "whaddo you meme", hes debunks these arguments and more. 1. how long does God's anger last? answer: that's up to God, if a person repents they are forgiven, if they don't repent they go to hell forever. so his anger is forever and not forever at the same time. it depends on if the person repents and importantly God was speaking to a specific group of people. its not contradiction its lack of understanding. 2. does Yahweh tempt people? answer: God doesnt tempt but God allows people to be tempted by satan. @@YokaiX I mean, there are points in the new testament specifically meant to remove the rules of the old so you cant flat out call it a delusion unless there's proof otherwise.
Jayden White yet Jesus said he came to fulfill the law of the OT, not get rid of it. The Bible is merely a mythbook of contradictions. It is a delusion. Religion requires faith, strong conviction despite a lack of evidence. A delusion is a firm belief despite contradictory evidence. Therefore, faith in a religion and gods is an irrational delusion. There is plenty proof that debunks religion in general as myths. Also, “The God Delusion” by Dr.Richard Dawkins.

@Dave Rodriguez Protip: a massive chunk of skeptics and nonbelievers were previously part of a faith, and lost their faith as a result of reading their faith's holy book. Christianity is no different. Reading the bible is the fastest and most efficient means of deconverting. And before you come back with a "you don't know what you're talking about!" I was raised Christian, with a family that was Christian. I consider them bringing me into the faith as a child brainwashing, and frankly, abuse. But that's neither here nor there. The way I escaped Christianity and got to a rational position was by reading the bible cover to cover. There's no method more potent than that to deconvert someone.

If you don't question what you believe in then you dont really believe it at all Edit: i really enjoy all the theories and discussions in the comments.......even though many are unnecessarily upset at differing opinions on life and or religion but hey, thats life.
The thing that really gets me is the way they put the verses up onscreen, really solidifies what's going on here (extra funny when there's like four of them)
Interpreting the Bible is easy. If it says something you like, it’s the pure, unadulterated truth. If it says something you don’t like, then it’s symbolic.
Or a metaphor, or something God said to someone else, not you. But it's o.k. he offered eternal life to someone else, not you. Eternal life sounds like a metaphor....?

I too like it, but likely for different reasons. See that he was using old versus new testament; the before and after some things were changed. Or even how some parts were being misrepresented; sometimes out of confusion. Like God's tempt to Abraham has a different definition than what they wanted here, to tempt is to test in that context not entice. God will tempt (test) man but not tempt (entice) them to do evil.
dude, something that I am supposed to believe in and put all my life into should not contradict AT ALL, doesn't matter if it's "old" or "new" It is still your "holy book" and both were made WAAAY before modern people, so why believe either if the contradictions are THERE

I honestly to this day don't understand how that has become a common christian belief in the US. Over here in Europe, even most of the overtly zealous christians believe the bible to be a metaphor, not a literal historic account given to man by god.
True. The bible has the burden of proof. This video intends to prove that the bible is invalid, me proving this video invalid does not prove the bible valid. The bible is valid, I can prove it by responding to any of your claims and any contradictions in the bible. Hit me up!
You see, the bible foreshadowed the concept of quantum superposition! It constantly provides 2 distinct facts simultaneously! The 2 distinct facts also happen to be contradictory.
I was thinking: Could god be a quantum entity? Hence being able to be everywhere and anywhere. Knowing everything. Plus not being able to see him but also being able to see him? So like you see him but your mind just doesnt comprehend what you are seeing? Then bringing Jesus back from the dead because he is both dead and alive or perhaps due to being part quantum? This is probably complete nonsense, but i like thinking about this sort of thing.
John 15:12-17 “My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. You are my friends if you do what I command. I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you. You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit-fruit that will last-and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you. This is my command: Love each other” "Love each another". After speaking of love, Jesus deals with the hatred of those who reject the Word of God and who reject his disciples. He foretells that the world will hate and persecute Christians just as it hated and persecuted Himself. The world will be hostile to Jesus and consequently it will also hate those who live in his teaching. Jesus therefore gives another teaching: the tribulations and persecutions to which they will be subject must not frighten them since they, strong in their faith, know that Christ, who has conquered the world, is in them. Jesus' friends are not left alone in persecutions and painful circumstances: they must know that the Defender will be beside them, the Spirit of truth who gave witness to Jesus, will also give it to them. But even the disciples living the very life of Christ will be an uninterrupted witness of his works. In fact, the Spirit, sent by the Father through the Son, will be the "soul" of the Church. Jesus said: You are Peter and on this rock I will build my Church. A Holy Catholic, Apostolic Church.

i spent a few hours to answer all the questions. summary is at the end. 1. how long does God's anger last? answer: that's up to God, if a person repents they are forgiven, if they don't repent they go to hell forever. so his anger is forever and not forever at the same time. it depends on if the person repents. its not contradiction its lack of understanding. 2. does Yahweh tempt people? answer: God doesnt tempt but God allows people to be tempted by satan. 7. was humans created before the animals? answer: Genesis 1 is giving you day by day steps.
Rewatching this after converting is a lot funnier. I remember when I first saw this video and thinking that it was awful and that you were going to go to hell, but now it's pretty clear that you're just blatantly stating whats already in the bible, and letting the viewer come to grips with it. Not to mention even if you had one, you probably couldn't read it considering catholic bibles tended to be in Latin. Catholicism vs Protestantism vs Orthodox is also another thing that makes me really skeptical about Christianity. Catholic scripture has additional texts, some of which very clearly go against other stuff in the bible, like Mary being a divine being. We also know that historically biblical texts and the high status of priests and other religious officials was exploited for personal benefit and control. It's still done today even though we have a Bible in our pocket at all times. Look up mega church sermons and compare them with what you know about the bible and tell me that 80% of them aren't huge grifters. I don't entirely agree with the video, I think some of the "contradictions" that were pointed out actually make sense if seen in the context of where/when they were written, or if taken figuratively; especially considering the text has been translated multiple times and changed (in some ways subtly, some majorly) in ways we can't entirely confirm since nearly everything is open to interpretation. However, that's the main issue with debating the Bible and trying to find contradictions. It's very difficult to come up with something to convince a believer or non-believer to swing the opposite way because the meaning of the texts differs wildly depending on your interpretation. That's implying the people you are arguing with read the bible at all besides the popular verses. I was a huge believer growing up, and it took years of arguments and my own personal experiences with Christians to sway me. Many of them really are masters of cherry picking, blind faith, and making up shit to justify their hatred.

This was after Terah died. Thus, Terah could have been no more than 145 when he died; or Abram was only 75 years old after he had lived 135 years.
I think you'll find that the bible was made by a number of people years apart from one another, so it's actually a good example of when a group of people don't listen to their team leader.
What do you mean 'fanfiction'?" It's a fantasy book written by an author who used the acronym GOD instead of their full name. Duh! And they hired other people to write their book for them because… you know. Old times, rich people hire less rich people to write for them…
@@leun6768 That means it's consciously written in a way that you can pick whatever answer you want, you need only to search the right sentence authorizing your preferred solution. Which pretty much makes it impossible to be a book of divine wisdom as such trickery is more the style of fallible humans ;-) You even can use the bible to "prove" that life ends with death and souls do not live on, that is also ascertained in some parts of its text...
@Dave Rodriguez I wanted to look for the various quotes (mostly later works of the oT like the minor prophets IIRC) i know from the time i still cared for the bible somewhat, 15 or so years ago, but the wikipedia article is already chockful with direct quotes of actual christian scholars about the subject: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christian_mortalism#Modern_scholarship seems a lot of your colleagues are in consensus that the bible does not even overwhelmingly talk for an immortal soul but that that is all later doctrine and NOT based on the scriptures! And you would hardly be able to call a source like Blackwell's radical or anti-theistic ^_^ Did not see that coming ;-)
+Ace The FireDragon: Well, it is a mix of facts and fiction. The fictional parts are probably written by self deluded people. Perhaps there was a bit of mental illness, such as schizophrenia, involved. If you want to see what religious insanity looks like, look up Robert Tilton, Jonestown, Osho, Peter Popoff, The Australian Jesus, The Mexican Jesus, the Russian Jesus, David Koresh, Bonnie Nettle and Marshal Applewhite (Heaven's gate).....there are plenty. Some of these guys even write books and produce VHS/DVDs and have websites.
The devil will always use the bible to oppose God. That is because the reader's mind is already possessed by the enemy. But when you allow Jesus and the Holy Spirit be in you, there is no 'contradiction' because you are understanding the word from God, not from your own understanding where the enemy can easily possess if you do not have God within you. Confirmation bias in a nutshell: Child falls from building and lives: "God is great!" Five children starve to death every minute on this planet: "God works in mysterious ways"
Charles McMillion that is a complete misunderstanding of God and his ways. This video has no actual contradictions because it fails to actually look into what each of those verses actually mean, just as you fail to realize the truth of God’s will. God isn’t a puppet master who controls everything. People aren’t cursed and they aren’t doomed. Children starving is an issue created by the world, not by God. God works in “mysterious ways” because we can’t comprehend it, which is what makes it funny that you attempt to. You don’t and could not know the ultimate, divine will of the omnipotent God. You can’t, and I can’t for that matter, fathom hardly a thing about God and Heaven and his plan. Our human brains aren’t big enough. I don’t blame you for being completely off basis though, because the Bible says that those who have not received the spirit cannot have spiritual knowledge, and thus can’t understand spiritual matters. You can believe what you believe, after all, only God can save people and thus I can’t do a thing but plant a seed, but i won’t allow for you to say things that are inherently untrue. People dying is proof that people are imperfect and sinful, not that God doesn’t care. If humans really are so bad and evil, why should ANYTHING good happen? I think that’s the question you need to ask.
@@aurumjust5539 I've read the Bible. I grew up reading the Bible in a Pentecostal/Baptist. Actually *reading* the Bible is why I left the church. Following is a spot-on summary of what the Bible actually says. You let me know when you can make any of it sensible. The Bible in 2 Minutes by Ms. Rachel C. Millison God who is "vengeful", "furious" and "full of wrath" but who also, somehow "is love"... Creates the universe, including imperfect human beings, evil to tempt them and Hell to eternally torture them in when they inevitably fall for it. The entire first version of the human race is tainted with original sin and condemned because the proto-woman, who was made from a rib of a sand-man, bit the fruit of a magic tree-of-knowledge after being duped by a talking snake that was actually a manifestation of the evil God created in the first place. Even though he "is love", God gets upset and kills all the proto-peoples' descendants in a giant magical flood that over-topped all the mountains on Earth but somehow left no flood layer in the sedimentary record. Everyone and everything dies, except for the family of a 600 year-old man who built a giant boat and floated away with some 12 million species of plants and animals who commuted from all over the world to the Ark in pairs, even though many, if not most of those species reproduce asexually. Not to be outdone by a snake, a donkey talks later on as well. To the second version of the human race, who are also somehow responsible for the whole talking-snake thing, God offers forgiveness. But, there's a hitch, because the omnipotent, omniscient creator of the Universe apparently can't just forgive humans. He has to send part of himself (Spirit) to Earth to impregnate a Jewish girl so she can give birth to another part of himself (Jesus) so that that part of himself (Jesus) can be killed as a blood sacrifice to himself (God). This part of him (Jesus) was with himself (God) from the beginning of time, but somehow forgets about it when he gets to Earth. He gets dunked in a river and recovers at least part of his memory. Before being sacrificed, he spends 3 years teaching people to "love your enemies", "turn the other cheek" and forgive, even though the other part of him, which is "a jealous and avenging God", "takes vengeance on his adversaries, reserves wrath for his enemies" and "visits the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation". God, who commands humans to have no other gods before him but is somehow three-gods-in-one, outlines all of this in a holy book, but it's so obscure, inconsistent and self-contradictory that virtually no two groups of humans can agree on what it really means, and often end up killing each other over it. Apparently, the all-powerful, all-knowing creator of the Universe can't just write a clear instruction manual, either. In any case, if people don't get the message about being inherently evil and needing forgiveness, the part of himself he sent to Earth to be killed in the blood sacrifice to himself will judge them accordingly and he will send them to Hell to writhe in agony for all eternity, because he loves them and "is good to all". The End.
i spent a few hours to answer all the questions. summary is at the end. 1. how long does God's anger last? answer: that's up to God, if a person repents they are forgiven, if they don't repent they go to hell forever. so his anger is forever and not forever at the same time. it depends on if the person repents and importantly God was speaking to a specific group of people. its not contradiction its lack of understanding. 2. does Yahweh tempt people? answer: God doesnt tempt but God allows people to be tempted by satan. God would punish people in hell is that evil?. evil is relative. other translations say, God creates calamity. calamity is also like destroying people in sodom and gomorrah by fire, is that evil?. again, evil is relative. when God does something we don't call it evil although it can be a calamity. the word evil came from Christianity to represent the acts of the devil. evil - devil. in modern era the word has lost its meaning to now signify what anyone would consider "bad" or "calamity". 7. was humans created before the animals? answer: Genesis 1 is giving you a day by day steps.
11. are children to be put to death for the sins of the father? answer: No. Only God can do that. we are not to put children to death for the sins of the father. but same as God destroyed sodom and gomorrah, likely they had children, meaning the children likely suffered for the sins of their parents. so as moses law, we humans are not to put people to death for the sins of their fathers. 12. does God rest? answer: no. the verses he quoted doesnt say anything about God resting. but there are verses like God resting on the 7th day. it doesnt literally mean he went to rest for energy. it simply means he stopped creation. if you don't work on a day, its considered rest day, but are you really resting if you aren't tired?. no. its simply misunderstanding, applying basic logic to a verse. 13. how many valiant men of soldiers? answer: he took two different books of the bible and expect them to have the same number? lol. should they go to war everyday with the same number of soldiers? such a silly logic. its basically two different stories. 14. how many horse men? answer: same as above. two different stories from different books of the bible. 15. how many shekels? answer: Two different stories.
I remember a preacher in my families church saying, “the bible has no contradictions, it is the only perfect text, researchers have studied it for years and they still can not find a single contradiction” anything is possible when you lie 😂
The reason is because less than even 10% of these mentioned in the video are even reasonably debatable. All of these are not contradictions, in fact many of them are complimentary and tell the same thing if you really look into it.
@@notaseagull3320Giving a hard limit to the number to use is a little convenient, but I’ll give a shot at explaining even just the first 5. God does not have hatred for us, but for our sinful hearts and actions. God protected Judah, but they turned away from Him and thus turned away His protection as well. The punishment for their sin is separation from God, and that left them exposed to conquest. In Micah the ode states that God has immense mercy for us despite our sin and forgives us. This is later strengthened through Jesus who gave us a way to be with God in Heaven. While these seem to demonstrate that God both forgives and doesn’t forgive, it isn’t exactly that simple. God is infinitely holy, and cannot be in the presence of sin, so therefore any sin separates us infinitely from God without His mercy. God hates sin and through our own choices we turn away from His mercy and must accept the consequences of those actions.
@@notaseagull3320The second one isn’t even debatable at all as God did not tempt Abraham, but tested his faithfulness. God cannot tempt because it is sinful to tempt someone into sin as the Bible states that anyone who pushes another to sin is guilty of the same sin. The third is stating that we are only saved by God’s mercy through Jesus, but faith without works is a little pointless. Yes, you are saved, but it is like saying that just because a man is hired he is employed, but if he does no work, his reward will be little. We demonstrate our faith and love for God through our actions, but it is not by our own actions that we are saved.
@@notaseagull3320the fourth one is no man can see God, in His entirety. God can project Himself through vessels, such as the burning bush. Even in exodus it showed that when Moses was with God, his face was glowing afterwards due to God’s holiness and power. The fifth one is also irrelevant as burnt offerings are in remembrance as even stated in the very same verse that was cited in the video. It states that it is for His name to be remembered and He will bless you. Even the cited verse in Jeremiah shows this stating that God did not say that He wants or demands burnt offerings, but said to obey His commands so their life will go well. The sacrifices and burnt offerings are meant in remembrance for us to obey His commands.
I’m in bible college right now because my parents said they would essentially abandon me if I am not christian. Studying all these books, asking the professors questions that get answered in “I don’t know and it doesn’t actually matter” is making me think it’s a better choice to just deal with the consequences of trying to live on my own. Gunna show this video to some students and professors tomorrow and see what they think of it. Thanks for this, even if I found it a little late. Can’t wait to start living for myself! edit: Learning about things such as loving people, how to acknowledge my weaknesses and harness my strengths, developing some humility and dissolving my ego, and some other things will definitely help me be a better person going forward. But when people look at me and thank God for healing their relative, or other silly religious things I don’t want to think about right now, I wont devote my life to something that will only benefit me after the only means I have to be able to perceive life are rotting in the ground.
I wish you luck in your journey. Everyone has a right to live his own life as he wishes, you got just one, make the most of it!:) Remember, you don't owe anyone anything, Your parents had parents too, and those parents had parents too. It was their choice to have kid/s, they wanted to do it for their own joy. I know it's hard, but if their religion means so much more to them than you do, there is no choice I still hope your parents wont abandon you and they eventually find respect for your decisions, but whatever comes, you must persist, it's you who will live with consequences of wasting your own life, not them.
Good luck friend! And know the further from it all you get the easier life becomes. As you're starting to gain more independence and freedom to do what you want with you want, doors really can start to open up for you to be freely yourself whatever that means! Best of luck on your journey

One of my favorite Bible contradictions is how Mark, Luke, and John say the stone was already rolled away when the women got to the tomb on Easter morning, but Matthew says it was still in place when they got there, then there was an earthquake and an angel came down and rolled the stone away. I've never heard apologists even attempt to reconcile that one.
It blatantly shows as just one of many examples why the bible is inconsistent and contradictory all the while Christians will claim all the live long day that the bible is the word or God and he is perfect and infallible and is not the author of confusion even though the Bible is the absolute most confusing and inconsistent book on earth. It also shows that the stone was already moved before they arrived which would be a simple coincidence that lead them to believe Jesus rolled it away and walked out versus some wild witness to an earthquake and angels coming down to move the stone. If you caught your kids sneaking cookies out of an unopened package and they told you that an angel came down and opened it up and gave them the cookies, what would your response be to that explanation?

Ya know, I was there with ya. But why not believe in it. If it's real, you get salvation if you believe but hell if you don't. On the other hand, if it's not real, you are in the ground regardless
so this may come across confusing but when sin is talked about in the old testament and when sin is talked about in the new testament are two very different things. You see in the old testament the was no holy spirit and there was no savor thus when someone sinned it was a much bigger thing, it was a crime against the Lord's nation thus they(the people of the God) would judge the crime how every other crime was judged back then, very harshly. In the new testament, however, when "death" is brought up as a result of sin it is referring to spiritual death which, if you haven't excepted the Lord's forgiveness will send you to hell... Another thing to realize is that if a sin from the old testament isn't re-stated in the new it isn't a sin anymore and has been forgiven by the death of Jesus (like cutting your hair, eating pig, braiding your hair etc.)... TL; DR no, Christians are not being told to go out in the street and kill sinners...lmao hope this clears this up :D

No one has ascended into heaven, but He who descended from heaven: the Son of Man." two answers, there is possibility Jesus is telling the people hes speaking to, none of them has ascended to heaven. which is the fact. secondly, Jesus is telling the people, he came down from heaven so he has superior knowledge. no one has ascended to heaven and back with such a knowledge. do you think Jesus doesnt know prophets ascended to heaven? no. context is important.
i spent a few hours to answer all the questions. summary is at the end. 1. how long does God's anger last? answer: that's up to God, if a person repents they are forgiven, if they don't repent they go to hell forever. so his anger is forever and not forever at the same time. it depends on if the person repents. its not contradiction its lack of understanding. 2. does Yahweh tempt people? answer: God doesnt tempt but God allows people to be tempted by satan. 11. are children to be put to death for the sins of the father? answer: Only God can do that. we are not to put children to death for the sins of the father. but same as God destroyed sodom and gomorrah, likely they had children, meaning the children likely suffered for the sins of their parents. so as moses law, we humans are not to put people to death for the sins of their fathers. 12. does God rest? answer: no. the verses he quoted doesnt say anything about God resting. but there are verses like God resting on the 7th day. it doesnt literally mean he went to rest for energy. it simply means he stopped creation. if you don't work on a day, its considered rest day, but are you really resting if you aren't tired?. no. its simply misunderstanding, applying basic logic to a verse. 13. how many valiant men of soldiers? answer: he took two different books of the bible and expect them to have the same number? lol. should they go to war everyday with the same number of soldiers? such a silly logic. its basically two different stories. 14. how many horse men? answer: same as above. two different stories from different books of the bible. 15. how many shekels? answer: Two different stories.
0:30 God forgives those who ask for it, but his wrath lasts forever with those who do not repent. 0:40 Genesis 22:1 “Some time later God tested Abraham. He said to him, “Abraham!” “Here I am,” he replied.” God tested him, not temped him.” James 1:13“When tempted, no one should say, “God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone” Two different words with totally different meanings. 1:00 This one is simple if you never sin you will enter God’s kingdom. However, it is very clear that nobody is perfect, thus you need to repent of your sins and redeem God’s free gift of life to enter. 1:26 Obviously it wasn’t literally God or perhaps it was God in a human form as Jacob was winning the wrestling match that they had right before the conversation. Plus, there is a difference between seeing God and seeing him in a spiritual manner. So that should cover the pop fire quotes they put up. 2:05 Jeremiah 7:22 says “For when I brought your ancestors out of Egypt and spoke to them, I did not just give them commands about burnt offerings and sacrifices,” And the next verse goes on to say “but I gave them this command: Obey me, and I will be your God and you will be my people. Walk in obedience to all I command you, that it may go well with you.” Again, context is key, as it doesn’t say God DIDN’T tell them to, it says God didn’t tell them just to do that, there were other commandments as well. 2:08 Isaiah 45:7 says God destroys and 1 john 4:8 says that God is love. This is in no way a contradiction. Have you ever had to put down a dog? You loved it but had to destroy its life. 2:11 It says in Genesis 2:18-19 “Now the Lord God had formed out of the ground all the wild animals and all the birds in the sky.” It does not literally mean At that moment, rather its more of an old man telling his grandchildren a story “Now he wasn’t a regular old fish, this one was a whopper.” Not literally now, just a manner of speech. 2:18 Acts 22:9 says “My companions saw the light, but they did not understand the voice of him who was speaking to me.” And the other verse quoted there says they heard a voice but saw no one. In that verse, it does not say they didn’t see a light, just that they didn’t see a person. And it does not say that they understood the voice, just that they heard it. 2:20 It doesn’t mean the earth literally goes on forever, just that it nearly does. 2:23 Again, doesn’t mean it so literally. It means more like “Who is better to teach you about heaven, as I am the only one here from heaven.” 2:26 It’s telling people not to kill children for their parent’s sins, but God can fo course curse a family line. We all deserve to die anyway, so it doesn’t matter who he chooses to keep alive anyway. 2:40 obviously it again isn’t so literal. God doesn’t NEED to rest, he CHOOSES to. 3:25 Both verses say the exact same thing A thousand of his chariots, Seven thousand Charioteers, and 20,000 foot-soldiers. 3:40 He paid 50 shekels of silver for the threshing floor and oxen, but 600 hundred shekels for the whole “Site” as it says in 1st Chronicles 21:24 3:50 There are multiple explanations, if he killed 800 men in one battle, it’s very possible that he killed 300 in a different one. Also, 800 men is greater than 300 so to kill 800 men at one time would include 300. However, many scholars think this is an error in translation somewhere along the line and that the numbers would be the same in the original text. 4:10 It’s possible that both thieves reviled him at first but later one repented. More likely, however, is that the writers were using figures of speech when writing about them. This is called a synecdoche; where someone will refer to a part of something as a whole or multiple things as one. In this case, the two thieves were a whole, and part of them repented. 4:15 In Luke it says there is one as they enter Jericho, and in the others, it tells about them as they leave. However, in Mark, it says there was one blind man as they leave and Matthew there were two. It is possible that there were two blind men, one as they entered and one as they left, but more likely that Mark is using a synecdoche. 4:25 There could have been two angels sitting then standing up or one sitting one standing but they used a synecdoche again. However, I would suspect that they were at one point sitting, but stood up. 4:50 what happened here is that each recorded different people, Luke says most of the people who went and the others simply didn’t say most of them. It doesn’t say that she went alone, it just leaves out the others. 5:10 He made us, so he can kill us. We have violated the terms that he gave us to live and yet he chooses not to kill us on the spot. Thinking that way you realize that him just letting us live is mercy in itself. 6:15 This, of course, is a sourceless taunt and no logic was used to back up his claim. Seeing as how I have thoroughly disproved all claims to this point his argument here is weak. Besides, Christians don’t believe every decision should be left up to prayer as this implies, rather they actually think, which is something whoever made this video clearly doesn’t do. (hey, an eye for an eye right? I’m kidding this insult was meant in fun.) 6:27 It doesn’t literally mean don’t be rich. Rather, don’t think your riches will save you. You’re still going to die. 7:03 it doesn’t mean you always have to give everything away, provide for yourself, but do not hoard. 7:13 As it wasn’t in the law it wasn’t legally communism, besides I’m sure they could’ve opted out had they not wanted to participate. 7:55 The writers probably heard from different people at what time the curtain was torn. 8:03 it was probably both. Again, a synecdoche 8:11 The book of Matthew in many places is written topically rather than chronologically. This is one of those places. 8:19 It is probable that the male prostitutes were for use by women. Or that by expelled it really means killed, but that is less likely. Perhaps since they weren’t of Jewish heritage the same laws did not have to be applied, however the first answer it the most probable. 8:32 It’s a bit long, but this gives a great explanation. www.comereason.org/roman-census.asp 8:40 Again, Matthew doesn’t always write chronologically. Plus, it doesn’t say they had arrived before the stone had been moved. 8:47 He hung himself, but after a while, the rope broke and his decaying body fell off spilling out his insides. 8:50 Again, baseless claim, but ironic because I am disproving these “contradictions” 9:20 The evidence is historical. There are records of how he died and that he was seen after the crucifixion. Besides, at least we have something to live for after death, unlike atheists. If all these “contradictions” can be disproved by a 15-year-old kid, then maybe you should try harder next time.
It seems the youtube gods have decided to show me this, and I can't lie, this is an amazing video altogether, the voice acting genuinely feels like a game show, and I like the really well make pixel art
Farmer Craig Just by reading the first part, it's already contradicting itself: forever does not mean in all of eternity, I can get that. But both verses mention forever, which makes the entire argument invalid.
@@enamelpin628 It is talking about 2 different subjects here. The one in Micah is dealing with people. A one on one stuation. He was prophesying about Jesus and His salvation. Jeremiah is talking about the nation of Israel whose leadrship and people had turned away from God. He told Israel when Solomon was king that as long as they worshipped God that there always would be a king on David's throne. But they didn't last very long. After many generations and the kingdoms not turning and staying with God, He took his anger out on them. Ever since Babylon conquered Israel there has not been a king on the throne.

As a former Christian, it was pretty easy to dismiss or otherwise isolate myself from critically evaluating the truth of the text. This video, however, was not. It was probably one of the earliest significant introductions into my own deconstruction.

Shows you've really read nothing from ancient theologians, these questions had been handled by torah and the Christian church fathers millenia ago. Most of these supposed "contradictions," when they are actually contradictions at all, were never an issue for believers until protestants tried to remake the Bible into a scientific document, which it never was, and tried to base the veracity of the text on various dry and absurd systematic theological schemes, 1:1 consistent word association games, historical/archeological arguments etc. instead of the simple power of the gospel itself to show people the beauty of what they were created for After leaving atheism in my early 20's coming back to these kinds of videos simply baffle me as to how I was ever so blind as to take them seriously. It shows me that when I originally deconstructed from Christianity in my teens that I never truly knew Christ to begin with
@@forloop7713 why should I bother? The concept of most of these being "contradictions" that matter in any way isn't even a theological premise that I hold. Like a lot are as pedantic as numbers of soldiers or something, as if the message of scripture is based on that. This all stems from the concept of scripture as some kind of systematic philosophical treatise that has to be able to be run through a logical function or syllogism and come out with zero errors to be valid. Even thinking about the faith in that way is so removed from the gospel and fathers that it's pointless to even debate. Words can be used differently in different contexts, things that seem to contradict logically are often the product of people using limited language to describe something infinite and incomprehensible. This is why the Orthodox understand the place of paradox in Christian teaching as a necessary facet of the work that challenges our minds to enter deeper into the mystery created by it, as the deepest "contradiction" of all is the heart of all Christian knowledge, the chief mystery, that God became man, so that man could become God (St Athanasius), through the crucifixion of Christ, the King who is Servant of all, who finds life through death. As he asks us to "lose our lives, so we may find it" So instead of engaging you in this petty game you want to play, why don't you give me a supposed contradiction and tell me why I should care about it at all? About what relevance it has to the revelation of the infinite God, the ground of all being, which is love, incarnating as man his Son to show us the path of love, mercy, and forgiveness, this grand "contradiction" that I've already found my life in? Show me how any of your petty word games could upstage that and maybe we'll have a conversation worth having

This is me hoping for the only important validation in this world: having my comment on the Bible contradictions quiz video replied to by the author nearly 15 years after it was uploaded.
Yeah but two days later, PizzaWheel hasn't relied with a fawning expression of gratitude for my having acknowledged his existence. I'm beginning to think I've been ripped off here.
Grey Matters have YOU personally scrutinized the Bible for yourself, or studied it to understand what it says, or do you just blindly believe whatever you hear about it?
blah blah I have nothing to prove to anyone. I know Who I worship, and He will prove Himself to all, but for many it will be too late. I study the scriptures, hence I am able to watch such videos, albeit in dismay. It's sad to watch people flaunt their faulty understanding, then demand proof for what they fail to comprehend. I've been in way too many debates, trying in vain to convince such people that God exists, yet now I know better; what matters is not what I have to say, but rather what people are convinced by. You don't want to believe in God? That's entirely your choice. Just know that God believes in you, and always will. You can find Him if you seek Him wholeheartedly, but criticizing the Bible and believers certainly won't get you there...
God is also perfectly just, and gives to each according to what they deserve. I could spend time quoting scriptures and trying to convince people that God exists, but the majority either won't care, or won't be convinced. The message of the gospel is special because it describes God taking human form, and choosing to die as an innocent man, for the sake of the sins of all of humanity... it's a message that a select few truly believe, and one that can transform the worst of people into the best. I've seen the power of the message itself in my life and the lives of many, yet I would just as easily have been one to believe this video and everything in it. I would give this video a thumbs up and dismiss God and everything He offers, had I not believed that Jesus Christ came to this earth, lived a perfect, extraordinary life, and willingly died on the cross, resurrecting on the third day to ascend into heaven from whence He came... it's saddening and encouraging to watch such videos, and hear opposition against God; it only proves more and more why He's so real, and why we truly CAN trust His word, after all! Study the Bible if you truly wish to learn more about God; don't, and you'll be stuck trying to prove why He doesn't exist...
So nostalgic. This video was literally a turning point in my life. I was questioning the validity of the Bible before but this really tipped me over the edge.
@Srbin Srbinovic because you’re not devoting your life to something that most likely isn’t even real. I see no reason why being Christian is any better.
@Srbin Srbinovic What do you mean by “what do you devote your life to now?” Why do you need to devote YOUR life on anything other than bettering yourself and the world. Why devote YOUR OWN LIFE to a god that had an extremely high chance of being fake. It’s not some gods life, but yours and you don’t have to devote your whole life to anything if you don’t want to. Just live the way you want to and try to make it as good as you can for yourself and others around you. You shouldn’t let a religion or god control your life. Even if there was a god I wouldn’t worship as I see no reason to. It’s not like I asked to be made so why does god feel entitled to my worship and devotion?

"the fact that you knew about all these contradictions and listed them" ROFL!!!! Good joke. He found them on the internet and ignored all the dozens of websites that explains why they aren't contradictions.
@@burnttoast5477 You mean he lies about websites? Yeah, he does that. He conflates errors in transcription with "contradictions" in THE Bible itself. That is pure dishonesty. He should call it "contradictions in translations" not "contradictions in the Bible". If, say, the US Constitution was translated to another language and it had typos that lead to contradictions, is it proper to say that represents a contradiction in the US Constitution? Of course not. Only a person very intentionally trying to deceive you would say that is a contradiction in THE constitution. He is trying to deceive everyone who watches this video. It's a proven fact. Hence, it is valid to say he ignores what the websites say and is thus ignoring the websites.
*A message to Dallas Powers, who commented but has replies disabled.* You said "The KJV is honestly not a very good English translation. Show me a contradiction in either the Greek or Hebrew manuscripts." I would invite you, using only the Greek manuscripts of the NT, to explain to us how many women went to the tomb on Sunday morning, when they arrived, how many "men" or "angels" they found there (and where they found them), and whether the tomb was opened or closed. Take all the context you like, but your answer must take into account all four gospels, and not omit any answers to any of these questions that they put forth.

I just wanted to let you know the reason why the New Testament from the disciples contradict each other was because it was written from different view points since there were at least 12
And also apparently, even though at some parts they were standing in the same place, they still recorded different things happening, as if the were all fat and could see past each others shoulders
I'm genuinely impressed with how respectful of Christianity this is. There's a few places where, in my opinion, you go a little too far, but overall you focus on the (admittedly amusing) contradictions within the Bible without overtly trashing on people who believe in it. Well, you do make fun of people who take the Bible completely at face face value with no room for interpretation or error, but as a devout Catholic so do I lol.
Ohhh, and Ken got the "real" prize! This was brilliant! I'm used to hearing about a single contradiction explored in depth. But THIS presentation gives it to you WHOLESALE. It really brings it home!.
Was the metropolis appellatived utterly reduced to rubble by Nebuchadrezzar in ancient times, so much so it has never been relocated, or was it conquered by a different paramilitaristic spearhead centuries afterwards? Is it still thriving in the concurrent day and age? Craig: NO!! Ken: YES!! The game show host: You are simultaneously wrong, and right ✅️ Hahahahaha
Amaaaaaazing! Finally an atheist going through the trouble to thoroughly study the bible and finding the inconsistencies, which pretty much are all over the place. :D
If we read the Bible at face value, without a preconceived bias for finding errors, we will find it to be a coherent, consistent, and relatively easy-to-understand book. Yes, there are difficult passages. Yes, there are verses that appear to contradict each other. We must remember that the Bible was written by approximately 40 different authors over a period of around 1500 years. Each writer wrote with a different style, from a different perspective, to a different audience, for a different purpose. We should expect some minor differences. However, a difference is not a contradiction. It is only an error if there is absolutely no conceivable way the verses or passages can be reconciled. Even if an answer is not available right now, that does not mean an answer does not exist. Many have found a supposed error in the Bible in relation to history or geography only to find out that the Bible is correct once further archaeological evidence is discovered. There are viable and intellectually plausible answers to every supposed Bible contradiction and error. There are books and websites available that list "all the errors in the Bible." Most people simply get their ammunition from these places; they do not find supposed errors on their own. There are also books and websites available that refute every one of these supposed errors. The saddest thing is that most people who attack the Bible are not truly interested in an answer. Many "Bible attackers" are even aware of these answers, but they continue to use the same old shallow attacks again and again.
@@abbymitchell5948 Nope. These morons edited Torah and Injeel so much and added their own BS in them. Like there are so many versions of Bible it's just sad Qur'an will be preserved till the end (it's still read in Arabic mostly in which it was revealed)
The fact that this guy is still replying to recent comments 13 years later is both hella impressive and somewhat sad; sad in the sense that so many religious fanatics can still just plug their ears and ignore so many blatant examples of contradiction, and still regard the book as totally true and inspired by divinity.
_so many blatant examples of contradiction_ There is not a single contradiction in the Bible. The author of this video is an unhinged proven liar who plugs his ears every time you challenge him, and absolutely refuses to provide evidence for a single claim he makes. He can only misdirect and come up with outrageous excuses (more lies) like it would take too long to provide evidence rofl. There are several youtube videos debunking this one you should look into them.
I know it's been 14 years, but OP, I absolutely love the sense of humour in this video. The rapid fire rounds genuinely had me laughing so much.

I saw this in my feed years ago, but this is the first time I've watched it since it popped up again
"Well I'm afraid Craig's correct and I'm gonna have to differ with him on this one."
The whole video is full of gems, but this one was great.
i spent a few hours to answer all the questions.
summary is at the end.
1. how long does God's anger last?
answer: that's up to God, if a person repents they are forgiven, if they don't repent they go to hell forever. so his anger is forever and not forever at the same time. it depends on if the person repents. its not contradiction its lack of understanding.
2. does Yahweh tempt people?
answer: God doesnt tempt but God allows people to be tempted by satan.
No one has ascended into heaven, but He who descended from heaven: the Son of Man."
two answers, there is possibility Jesus is telling the people hes speaking to, none of them has ascended to heaven. which is the fact.
secondly, Jesus is telling the people, he came down from heaven so he has superior knowledge. no one has ascended to heaven and back with such a knowledge. do you think Jesus doesnt know prophets ascended to heaven? no. context is important.
11. are children to be put to death for the sins of the father?
answer: Only God can do that. we are not to put children to death for the sins of the father. but same as God destroyed sodom and gomorrah, likely they had children, meaning the children likely suffered for the sins of their parents. so as moses law, we humans are not to put people to death for the sins of their fathers.
12. does God rest?
answer: no. the verses he quoted doesnt say anything about God resting. but there are verses like God resting on the 7th day. it doesnt literally mean he went to rest for energy. it simply means he stopped creation. if you don't work on a day, its considered rest day, but are you really resting if you aren't tired?. no. its simply misunderstanding, applying basic logic to a verse.
13. how many valiant men of soldiers?
answer: he took two different books of the bible and expect them to have the same number? lol. should they go to war everyday with the same number of soldiers? such a silly logic. its basically two different stories.
14. how many horse men?
answer: same as above. two different stories from different books of the bible.
15. how many shekels?
answer: Two different stories.
28. did the temple curtain rip before or after Jesus died?
answer: it ripped during the time Jesus died. you're reading an account of three people, and the temple was at a different location from his crucifixion location, so they later heard the temple robe split into two, and this was because of his death, do you expect them to copy paste eachother story? no. one writes, after he died, one writes as he was dying. the point is, the robe split during his death.
its like someone writes a story and say, he saw two cars in an accident on the street in the morning, another person later in the afternoon goes to see the cars at the same location not towed away, he says, he saw two cars in an accident. the point is they are giving the vital story of two cars that had an accident since they both might have not even seen the exact time the cars collide. the disciples were at the cross, they got news the robes split in the temple. why would you expect them to copy eachother story?. lol.
29. who put the purple robe on Jesus, Pilate soldiers or Herod soldiers?
answer: the next verse says "12 And the same day Pilate and Herod were made friends together: for before they were at enmity between themselves."
in short, their soldiers. he was sent between Pilate and Herod consistently, meaning eachside soldiers were moving from one base to the other so if he was worn a robe at any of the sides base the other side army who brought him along would also join in, since they are friends.
30. did Jesus curse the fig tree before or after driving the merchants from the temple?
answer: you're comparing witnesses writing an event of what they recalled happening on a day. why would you expect them to copy paste eachother?. the gospel of Mathew is known to be arranged topically rather than chronologically.
31. was Jesus born during the reign of Herod or during the governorship of Caesar?.
answer: he didn't have a problem with Pilate and Caesar regarding Jesus robe, but he now has a problem with Herod and Caesar both being leaders? lol this atheist is funny. then they didn't have a country, they had people ruling districts like cities, so they had different leaders at different jurisdictions.
32. when the women arrived at Jesus tomb was the tomb opened or closed?
answer: none of the verses say they arrived at a closed tomb, it says, the one that the atheist thought it suggested that, says the women came to see the tomb, meaning they took the journey to go see the tomb. likely the tomb was opened before they arrived and they met the keepers or security running back.
33. did Judas die by hanging or dying by falling and spilling his guts?
answer: both, the hanging verse doesnt even say that's how he died. it just said he hanged himself. the later verse shows he actually died, so both is right, he hanged himself and fell and died.
so in summary.
i. read the verses in context.
ii. understand that the gospels are written in level of importance or chronology based on the author.
iii. the laws of death was practiced and now we can repent, but if people don't repent they face second death which is hell. basically we have easier repentance.
iv. some stories are different.
Sacrifice him there as a burnt offering.”
This is supposed to be one of the most important documents in existence, created by the most powerful being in existence to spread his message, and yet you have to sit there and explain, “Well actually, it says one thing but that’s not what it actually means.”
It’s strange that you try to act like they aren’t, but for other issues you try to argue that “it’s just the author’s retelling.”
Eh, the audience only needs to know that there was one angel.”

@Roa 10 points to everyone
Shit including me too
Taylor Von Maxey how dare you forget the host! 10 points to the host as well.
That was an awesome comment.
i spent a few hours to answer all the questions.
summary is at the end.
also everyone should checkout youtube channel "whaddo you meme", hes debunks these arguments and more.
1. how long does God's anger last?
answer: that's up to God, if a person repents they are forgiven, if they don't repent they go to hell forever. so his anger is forever and not forever at the same time. it depends on if the person repents and importantly God was speaking to a specific group of people. its not contradiction its lack of understanding.
2. does Yahweh tempt people?
answer: God doesnt tempt but God allows people to be tempted by satan.
It reminds me of Flanders: "I did everything! Even the stuff that contradicted the other stuff."

If even after all that, and a theist still doesn’t see their religion/myth for the delusion that it is... they’re too far gone

John 15:12-17
“My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. This is my command: Love each other”
"Love each another".
In fact, the Spirit, sent by the Father through the Son, will be the "soul" of the Church.

answer: Only God can do that. we are not to put children to death for the sins of the father. but same as God destroyed sodom and gomorrah, likely they had children, meaning the children likely suffered for the sins of their parents. so as moses law, we humans are not to put people to death for the sins of their fathers.
12. does God rest?
answer: no. the verses he quoted doesnt say anything about God resting. but there are verses like God resting on the 7th day. it doesnt literally mean he went to rest for energy. it simply means he stopped creation. if you don't work on a day, its considered rest day, but are you really resting if you aren't tired?. no. its simply misunderstanding, applying basic logic to a verse.
13. how many valiant men of soldiers?
answer: he took two different books of the bible and expect them to have the same number? lol. should they go to war everyday with the same number of soldiers? such a silly logic. its basically two different stories.
14. how many horse men?
answer: same as above. two different stories from different books of the bible.
15. how many shekels?
answer: Two different stories.
22. cursing parents?
answer: this form of cursing is different from the modern form of cursing where we use swear words. that form of cursing was a spiritual form of cursing using the name of God its similar to spiritism. you can research on this as explained by Jews themselves. you think they're going to kill their kids for saying f*ck you dady?. lol.
23. a person who rejects the verdict of the judge or priest must be put to death?
answer: Moses is telling them anyone who doesnt obey the priest or judge appointed by God in the land they are going, the person who disobeys their verdict must be put to death. it was considered contempt of court to disobey the verdict of the judge.
oh my god please no
Rewatching this after converting is a lot funnier. I remember when I first saw this video and thinking that it was awful and that you were going to go to hell, but now it's pretty clear that you're just blatantly stating whats already in the bible, and letting the viewer come to grips with it. Loads of "books" of the Bible were discarded. It's funny that different sects believe that a different number of books as canon. Christianity is so confusing and difficult to believe in, even believers can't agree on what's going on.

NonStampCollector All of your arguments are being addressed, and they are all refuted in the article, before I even read the article I could see that the verses you showed doesn’t contradict themselves. If you do some actual examination on the what the verses teach you would understand.

SeraphimsAndAngels sorry mate, but the article yourself presented newer contradictions that I myself can find and point out. Too many contradictions are in the bible. For example:

GE 1:14-19 The sun (which separates night and day) wasn't created until the fourth day.
GE 1:11-12, 26-27 Trees were created before man was created. GE 2:4-9 Man was created before trees were created.

Rachel C. Millison
God who is "vengeful", "furious" and "full of wrath" but who also, somehow "is love"...
The End.

@@NonStampCollector You know, this video is amazing. It really is nice to see you still around.
i spent a few hours to answer all the questions.
summary is at the end.
1. how long does God's anger last?
answer: that's up to God, if a person repents they are forgiven, if they don't repent they go to hell forever. so his anger is forever and not forever at the same time. it depends on if the person repents and importantly God was speaking to a specific group of people. its not contradiction its lack of understanding.
2. does Yahweh tempt people?
answer: God doesnt tempt but God allows people to be tempted by satan.
5. does Yahweh delight in burnt offerings?
answer: you have to obey him first. the verses are not contradicting, God is telling the people that when he brought their fathers Moses etc out of the land of Egypt he didn't tell them anything concerning burnt offering, but he told them specifically to obey him. the people didnt care about obeying God but they cared about burnt offering. if you read in context its easy to understand.

answer: what is evil? God would punish people in hell is that evil?. evil is relative. other translations say, God creates calamity. calamity is also like destroying people in sodom and gomorrah by fire, is that evil?. again, evil is relative. when God does something we don't call it evil although it can be a calamity. the word evil came from Christianity to represent the acts of the devil. evil - devil. in modern era the word has lost its meaning to now signify what anyone would consider "bad" or "calamity".

acts 22 : 9, says they didn't understand. some translations write they "heard not". the point is, they heard but they didn't understand. another meaning for "heard not" is inaudible, meaning you're hearing but you cannot get what is being said, like you're listening to another language. imagine you're speaking to a friend and he quickly speaks another language, and you ask him, hey i didn't hear what you said, basically you heard it but you didn't understand and since you didn't understand you think you didn't hear it.
in short they heard but didn't understand.
9. will the earth last forever?
answer: other verse the author says one generation passes and another comes but the earth would last forever. the author is contrasting the humans passing to the earth always existing. its like saying, generations have come and gone but this earth is always here meaning generations would still come and go and the earth would still be here. the word forever, is actually flexible, it means a long time, example in the bible verse psalm 23 : 6, it says "and i would dwell in the house of the lord forever" does it mean we live in the house of God eternity? no. the author is saying he would be with God till the end of his life on earth.
so in short its misunderstanding by people.
secondly, some Christians believe there would be a new earth with paradise. so technically the earth would still be for eternity.
10. is Jesus the only man to have ascended to heaven?
answer: Jesus was speaking here saying "If I told you earthly things and you do not believe, how will you believe if I tell you heavenly things? No one has ascended into heaven, but He who descended from heaven: the Son of Man."
two answers, there is possibility Jesus is telling the people hes speaking to, none of them has ascended to heaven. which is the fact.
secondly, Jesus is telling the people, he came down from heaven so he has superior knowledge. no one has ascended to heaven and back with such a knowledge. do you think Jesus doesnt know prophets ascended to heaven? no. context is important.
11. are children to be put to death for the sins of the father?
@@thehonesttruth415 this should be it’s own comment. I don’t see why you needed to reply to me specifically with this one lol
All of these are not contradictions, in fact many of them are complimentary and tell the same thing if you really look into it.
if I may ask, how are they complementary? pick about 5 examples from the video and explain please
No thats wrong all that information was retconed twice, once in the christis of infinite earths and the new 52 commandments

Everyone has a right to live his own life as he wishes, you got just one, make the most of it!:)
Remember, you don't owe anyone anything, Your parents had parents too, and those parents had parents too. It was their choice to have kid/s, they wanted to do it for their own joy.
I know it's hard, but if their religion means so much more to them than you do, there is no choice
I still hope your parents wont abandon you and they eventually find respect for your decisions, but whatever comes, you must persist, it's you who will live with consequences of wasting your own life, not them.
Look on the bright side, you could become the new Bart Ehrman.

I've never heard apologists even attempt to reconcile that one.
bad argument: veritasdomain.wordpress.com/2020/03/25/bible-contradiction-was-the-tomb-opened-or-closed-when-the-women-arrived/
What difference does it make?

Ken: Prison?
Host:No, the answer is death.
Ken: Stupid, why did I think our most merciful Lord would allow such a criminal to live?
so this may come across confusing but when sin is talked about in the old testament and when sin is talked about in the new testament are two very different things.
TL; DR no, Christians are not being told to go out in the street and kill sinners...lmao hope this clears this up :D

acts 22 : 9, says they didn't understand. some translations write they "heard not". the point is, they heard but they didn't understand. another meaning for "heard not" is inaudible, meaning you're hearing but you cannot get what is being said, like you're listening to another language. imagine you're speaking to a friend and he quickly speaks another language, and you ask him, hey i didn't hear what you said, basically you heard it but you didn't understand and since you didn't understand you think you didn't hear it.
in short they heard but didn't understand.
9. will the earth last forever?
answer: other verse the author says one generation passes and another comes but the earth would last forever. the author is contrasting the humans passing to the earth always existing. its like saying, generations have come and gone but this earth is always here meaning generations would still come and go and the earth would still be here. the word forever, is actually flexible, it means a long time, example in the bible verse psalm 23 : 6, it says "and i would dwell in the house of the lord forever" does it mean we live in the house of God eternity? no. the author is saying he would be with God till the end of his life on earth.
so in short its misunderstanding by people.
secondly, some Christians believe there would be a new earth with paradise. so technically the earth would still be for eternity.
10. is Jesus the only man to have ascended to heaven?
answer: Jesus was speaking here saying "If I told you earthly things and you do not believe, how will you believe if I tell you heavenly things? No one has ascended into heaven, but He who descended from heaven: the Son of Man."
two answers, there is possibility Jesus is telling the people hes speaking to, none of them has ascended to heaven. which is the fact.
secondly, Jesus is telling the people, he came down from heaven so he has superior knowledge. no one has ascended to heaven and back with such a knowledge. do you think Jesus doesnt know prophets ascended to heaven? no. context is important.
11. are children to be put to death for the sins of the father?
answer: Only God can do that. we are not to put children to death for the sins of the father. but same as God destroyed sodom and gomorrah, likely they had children, meaning the children likely suffered for the sins of their parents. so as moses law, we humans are not to put people to death for the sins of their fathers.
12. does God rest?
answer: no. the verses he quoted doesnt say anything about God resting. but there are verses like God resting on the 7th day. it doesnt literally mean he went to rest for energy. it simply means he stopped creation. if you don't work on a day, its considered rest day, but are you really resting if you aren't tired?. no. its simply misunderstanding, applying basic logic to a verse.
13. how many valiant men of soldiers?
answer: he took two different books of the bible and expect them to have the same number? lol. should they go to war everyday with the same number of soldiers? such a silly logic. its basically two different stories.
14. how many horse men?
answer: same as above. two different stories from different books of the bible.
15. how many shekels?
answer: Two different stories.
28. did the temple curtain rip before or after Jesus died?
answer: it ripped during the time Jesus died. you're reading an account of three people, and the temple was at a different location from his crucifixion location, so they later heard the temple robe split into two, and this was because of his death, do you expect them to copy paste eachother story? no. one writes, after he died, one writes as he was dying. the point is, the robe split during his death.
its like someone writes a story and say, he saw two cars in an accident on the street in the morning, another person later in the afternoon goes to see the cars at the same location not towed away, he says, he saw two cars in an accident. the point is they are giving the vital story of two cars that had an accident since they both might have not even seen the exact time the cars collide. the disciples were at the cross, they got news the robes split in the temple. why would you expect them to copy eachother story?. lol.
29. who put the purple robe on Jesus, Pilate soldiers or Herod soldiers?
answer: the next verse says "12 And the same day Pilate and Herod were made friends together: for before they were at enmity between themselves."
in short, their soldiers. he was sent between Pilate and Herod consistently, meaning eachside soldiers were moving from one base to the other so if he was worn a robe at any of the sides base the other side army who brought him along would also join in, since they are friends.
30. did Jesus curse the fig tree before or after driving the merchants from the temple?
answer: you're comparing witnesses writing an event of what they recalled happening on a day. why would you expect them to copy paste eachother?. the gospel of Mathew is known to be arranged topically rather than chronologically.
31. was Jesus born during the reign of Herod or during the governorship of Caesar?.
answer: he didn't have a problem with Pilate and Caesar regarding Jesus robe, but he now has a problem with Herod and Caesar both being leaders? lol this atheist is funny. then they didn't have a country, they had people ruling districts like cities, so they had different leaders at different jurisdictions.
32. when the women arrived at Jesus tomb was the tomb opened or closed?
answer: none of the verses say they arrived at a closed tomb, it says, the one that the atheist thought it suggested that, says the women came to see the tomb, meaning they took the journey to go see the tomb. likely the tomb was opened before they arrived and they met the keepers or security running back.
33. did Judas die by hanging or dying by falling and spilling his guts?
answer: both, the hanging verse doesnt even say that's how he died. it just said he hanged himself. the later verse shows he actually died, so both is right, he hanged himself and fell and died.
so in summary.
i. read the verses in context.
ii. understand that the gospels are written in level of importance or chronology based on the author.
iii. the laws of death was practiced and now we can repent, but if people don't repent they face second death which is hell. basically we have easier repentance.
iv. some stories are different.
0:30 God forgives those who ask for it, but his wrath lasts forever with those who do not repent.
0:40 Genesis 22:1 “Some time later God tested Abraham. He said to him, “Abraham!” “Here I am,” he replied.” God tested him, not temped him.”
James 1:13“When tempted, no one should say, “God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone” Two different words with totally different meanings.
It means more like “Who is better to teach you about heaven, as I am the only one here from heaven.”
2:26 It’s telling people not to kill children for their parent’s sins, but God can fo course curse a family line.
3:40 He paid 50 shekels of silver for the threshing floor and oxen, but 600 hundred shekels for the whole “Site” as it says in 1st Chronicles 21:24
3:50 There are multiple explanations, if he killed 800 men in one battle, it’s very possible that he killed 300 in a different one.
I’m kidding this insult was meant in fun.)
6:27 It doesn’t literally mean don’t be rich.
Again, a synecdoche
8:11 The book of Matthew in many places is written topically rather than chronologically. This is one of those places.
8:19 It is probable that the male prostitutes were for use by women. Or that by expelled it really means killed, but that is less likely. Perhaps since they weren’t of Jewish heritage the same laws did not have to be applied, however the first answer it the most probable.
8:32 It’s a bit long, but this gives a great explanation. www.comereason.org/roman-census.asp
8:40 Again, Matthew doesn’t always write chronologically. Plus, it doesn’t say they had arrived before the stone had been moved.
8:47 He hung himself, but after a while, the rope broke and his decaying body fell off spilling out his insides.
8:50 Again, baseless claim, but ironic because I am disproving these “contradictions”
9:20 The evidence is historical. There are records of how he died and that he was seen after the crucifixion. Besides, at least we have something to live for after death, unlike atheists.
If all these “contradictions” can be disproved by a 15-year-old kid, then maybe you should try harder next time.

For fools.

Shows you've really read nothing from ancient theologians, these questions had been handled by torah and the Christian church fathers millenia ago. Most of these supposed "contradictions," when they are actually contradictions at all, were never an issue for believers until protestants tried to remake the Bible into a scientific document, which it never was, and tried to base the veracity of the text on various dry and absurd systematic theological schemes, 1:1 consistent word association games, historical/archeological arguments etc. instead of the simple power of the gospel itself to show people the beauty of what they were created for
After leaving atheism in my early 20's coming back to these kinds of videos simply baffle me as to how I was ever so blind as to take them seriously. It shows me that when I originally deconstructed from Christianity in my teens that I never truly knew Christ to begin with
@@papercut7141 explain 1 contradiction from ths video
As he asks us to "lose our lives, so we may find it"
So instead of engaging you in this petty game you want to play, why don't you give me a supposed contradiction and tell me why I should care about it at all? About what relevance it has to the revelation of the infinite God, the ground of all being, which is love, incarnating as man his Son to show us the path of love, mercy, and forgiveness, this grand "contradiction" that I've already found my life in? BRILLIANT! I'm sure that Christians will both agree and disagree with facts presented here!
Grey Matters have YOU personally scrutinized the Bible for yourself, or studied it to understand what it says, or do you just blindly believe whatever you hear about it?
blah blah and so are atheistic UA-cam videos, apparently...
blah blah I have nothing to prove to anyone.
MisterMind 12 Chill! It was just a joke comment. You really need to learn this is just a satire that you shouldn't be taking so seriously

Craig: NO!!
Ken: YES!!

how come i only find this now....this is brilliant

The fact that this guy is still replying to recent comments 13 years later is both hella impressive and somewhat sad; sad in the sense that so many religious fanatics can still just plug their ears and ignore so many blatant examples of contradiction, and still regard the book as totally true and inspired by divinity.
_so many blatant examples of contradiction_
There is not a single contradiction in the Bible.
