Fun video as always and as usual I learned something. 2 things. I got my first house plant w 1986, am always flooding saucers, and had never thought of using a turkey baster. You are a genius, thanks. I had also not known why lower leaves dies. Nitrogen is mobile. Hey! My plants and my furniture will love the turkey baster trick.
Ohh yay! I’m so happy to be able to share some tips n tricks with you😊💜🌱✨ yeah the turkey baster is usually something I’m scrambling for when the water starts overflowing everywhere haha 😅 thanks for watching! Have a lovely week💖
These plants were like they went to these shows where they turn a simple condo into like a mini mansion!! I can imagine them with tears of joy to the revelation of their new home 😂 what an upgrade indeed!! that dark alocasia in that fountain shaped pot was a match made in heaven🖤
I was so anxious seeing you repot your philo. I thought you were going to tie your hair and call your husband to help you. 😖 But it looks majestic!! Love it!!! Now I’m gonna get one. 🪴
repti bark is awesome! all the best substrates come from the pet store: sphagnum moss, coco coir, repti bark, fluval stratum, cool gravel for succulents too
The moment you said “crap”, the look on hubbies face was priceless…. Like what crime did I just commit? Am I now guilty by association?? 😂😂😂 Also, that gigantium is BEAUTIFUL!! I love the structure, it looks like a tree. ❤
Reptibatk. Youre a genius. Rn i use fluval stratum and all plants are loving it (6mo now). Theyre growing and no bugs. (Always fertilizing the water). 💚
I just love all your beautiful plants. The bigger the better for me but I don’t have alot of room for them. I love that you explain everything you are doing. I have about 25 house plants and only 3 are large floor plants.
I love me some Repti bark too, aquarium sand too, I’d definitely try keiki paste on the lower bare stem of that first beauty, see if you can get some new growth, did it on my Hoya compacta where it was bare… completely filled in with new leaves!!! A road in Hawaii named “Ali’i drive” is pronounced Alee-ee, I wonder if that ficus plant is intended to be pronounced that way,
I truly enjoyed watching your video. You have given me some great ideas. I will run and pick up a bag of Repti-Bark as soon as I get off work. I have a lot of repotting to do. Thanks
Your giganteum looks incredible 😲 ❤ you did amazing wrangling him on your own! ❤💪 and Congrats on your 100th video! I love you and your channel! 🎉 The 2 biggest plants I've repotted lately are my ficus alii and my large tortum! Such a PITA!😂
Omg their huge plants are amazingggg🤩 I somehow can’t manage to find the balance between too dry vs moldy moss poles, I need to dial it in bc it’s true the real moss poles make the climbers look amazing 💜 thanks for the suggestion!🌱✨
I had to have my friend help me with my delicious cuz just too big and I have just one good arm but it was hectic and scary and she is a glorious beast!!!!! ❤❤❤❤
This gives me motivation to repot my Monstera deliciosa, which is so top heavy that my husband put a spare piece of wood under the lip of the pot to keep the pot from falling over. Congrats on your 100th video and cheers to a great repotting job!!
I ❤ your videos so so much. I anticipate a new one coming in these days. Because they are so educational. I love the big plants you have. That gigantean, chefs kiss.
Thank you for all the plant info. 🥰 I love your videos. I've watched them all. 😊 I was wondering I'm up north still a lil warm is it ok for repotting in this season? TIA 😁💚
Congrats on 100th video!! 🎉 such beautiful really big plants!!! 😂 So question..the stake you thought might be rotting...wouldn't you want to remove it from the pot?
I have a question. 🤔Why you dont use the moss-off-technique? Where you do moist moss around the air roots direct under the leaves. To change air roots in Earth roots. Then you chop after some weeks under the earth roots to transfer the plant in the new pot. Now you have a bare stem, like before and only 1m before you have to work again to make something with that philo to stabilyse or make it nice to look. 🤔
Could you do a video (or should I ask have you done a video) about training your philodendrons UPWARD? I feel like my ladies are swimming sideways and yours look amazing ETA: I have moss poles and such but I overthink things so I think a video would be helpful so I’m not thinking about it for months (adhd)
I have repotted so many plants and was so afraid they wouldn't like it but they didn't mind at all. Just kept right on growing. But my sensation peace lily 😮 I have not tackled it yet. It is so big but it gets thirsty too quickly. I know it needs it but I am afraid I will break a leaf. 😢 it even bloomed last week.
Ah that’s awesome your repottings went so smoothly 💜😊 I also have a big thirsty peace lily that needs repotting! I’m happy yours is blooming :))) I bet you’ll be able to repot without problems! If you think a leaf might snap you could try waiting till the plant is just slightly wilted and then it may be a little more forgiving if you need to place it at odd angles during the repotting or end up thwacking it around a little. Best of luck! 😊✨🌱
I think I would propagate the plant looks very bare at the bottom. And cut off majority of those roots outside. My own opinion. One of the reasons i don’t buy aroids for there growing structures. I like buying plants that go with aesthetic to my home.
So ummmm I always wait till I see this watering… as an inconvenience to up pot… it seems a like there’s implementation that this is a wrongful action….?
“We should take this over to my tarp.” Said by plant lovers and serial killers.💕
HAHAHAH😸😸😸 I just accidentally snorted some coffee into my nose when I read this lolol 💜💜💜 the ultimate crossover 😂
Thanks for watching!!!✨🌱💖🔪
😂😂😂😂😂😂
That giganteum really turned out gorgeous! 😍
😁🌱✨💜 yay I’m so glad you think so!! Cheers!✨

Wow. That was a tedious job. The outcome was well worth it. That plant/tree is BEAUTIFUL.
Yay to 100 videos! Obsessed with your channel! 🎉
The moment you said “crap”, the look on hubbies face was priceless…. Like what crime did I just commit? Am I now guilty by association?? 😂😂😂
Also, that gigantium is BEAUTIFUL!! I love the structure, it looks like a tree. ❤
So glad you came up with a way to repot your giganteum 😀🇨🇦
Reptibatk. Youre a genius. Rn i use fluval stratum and all plants are loving it (6mo now). Theyre growing and no bugs. (Always fertilizing the water). 💚
I Love Repti-bark! Also, certain pet stores give you regular shopper discounts.

Kaitlyn, I think your TV is bigger than you 😂
congrats on your 100th videoo!!!!! i love your videos, they’re always so chill and relaxing :) plus i learn a lot!! keep it up !
I feel like a moss pole like the kind Sidney Plant Guy uses would have been perfect for the gigantium.
Omg their huge plants are amazingggg🤩 I somehow can’t manage to find the balance between too dry vs moldy moss poles, I need to dial it in bc it’s true the real moss poles make the climbers look amazing 💜 thanks for the suggestion!🌱✨
Giganteum looks AWesome in its new set up & I love the urns too. All looking next level classy!
I had to have my friend help me with my delicious cuz just too big and I have just one good arm but it was hectic and scary and she is a glorious beast!!!!! ❤❤❤❤
Humans vs Monstera showdown!!✨✨✨ I’m glad you were able to tame the beast!🦁 I bet it’s looking so good now 😊💜🌱✨ have a lovely week!

Wow, at that point, I would’ve chopped most of it and continued with the aerial roots.
Using this video as motivation to repot my 8 ft BOP…😅
She's beautiful!🥹💚💚❣️
Happy 100th video!!🎉 Loved this❤

loving the black hair on you!!
Happy planting, and keep on making awesome and very knowledgeable videos! 💯🙌🏽🙌🏽💐❣️
Thank you for all the plant info. 🥰 I love your videos. I've watched them all. 😊 I was wondering I'm up north still a lil warm is it ok for repotting in this season? TIA 😁💚
It's beautiful omg😊
Why didn’t you take the old wooden stake out of the gigantium?
Congrats on 100th video!! 🎉 such beautiful really big plants!!! 😂 So question..the stake you thought might be rotting...wouldn't you want to remove it from the pot?

Congrats on the 100th video! My $0.02, but the pots without drainage holes might have issues over time with excessive salt buildup.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
😊💜🌱✨
Yesterday I repotted my Forever Rich plant...and guess what? they are 4 pots 🙂
Could you do a video (or should I ask have you done a video) about training your philodendrons UPWARD? I feel like my ladies are swimming sideways and yours look amazing
ETA: I have moss poles and such but I overthink things so I think a video would be helpful so I’m not thinking about it for months (adhd)
Are these crawling philodendrons? They can might climb if strongly encouraged to do so, but it goes against their nature.
@@IRONWEED_ aaaaaaaaah…. I did not think about that… I’ll have to look further into that!! Thank you!
I was screaming to use the stool and you heard me.
Haha!! Your energy transcended time and space 😄!! thanks for the help 💜💜💜🌱🪑✨

she is magnificent
I wanted to tie your hair back 😅😅😅. It would be cooler and not get in the way.
So ummmm I always wait till I see this watering… as an inconvenience to up pot… it seems a like there’s implementation that this is a wrongful action….?
