I never had Battlecat as a kid. It's time I rectify that error.
poop0980 I did, but compared to Masterpiece of other genres, this one is still lacking. Needs claws + ankle and mouth articulation. Your choice of course but Mattel needs to do better.

He-Man had and still has the best box ART out of any toy line. Fantastic images.

I am absolutely loving the origins line. It’s a fun line that is bringing back the playtime battles with the kiddos. I have every item out so far even have the castle on preorder. I will pick up everything that is released in the line. My 12 yr ok’d daughter loves the He-man/She-ra series.
I have a confession. Battle Cat was actually my favorite character on the show. It could possibly be because I'm a lover of cats, but Battle Cat was boss! Thank you for this video Michael.
I had a thing for BattleCat too. Felt the same for the White Tiger in the TV show "Ronin Warriors". Love animal cohorts.
Panthor was my fave.
It would've been nice is Battle Cat always stayed his braver self and never reverted back to Cringer. Come to think of it how come there never was a Cringer figure?
I would recommend a show called the “the toys that made us” it a pg 14 show about old hit toylines like transformers, GI joe, he -man, Star Wars and many more. It goes into detail about stuff like how it happened, how it ended and more.
I've been collecting the Origins characters and have both Battle Cat and Panthor and I've been getting them as gifts for my nephew who is about the age I was when I started playing with the original toys almost 40 years ago :) really enjoying collecting them for my shelves and even getting down on the floor and playing with my nephew when I can :)
That box art is gorgeous. Mattel have been doing a great job with these.
The box art is what sells this toy line imo.
I’d love to see a collective book with all the artwork. Including the original line as well as the origin line.
Paw articulation would have made this so much better still love him. Only version I

I agree. Without the paw articulation the other leg articulations are somewhat redundant.
I had two Battle Cats as a kid. Might get two to keep tradition going. I have two boys does that mean I should get 2 or 4.
When I got two as a kid I ripped them open. My mother said I should of kept one in the box in case one broke. Ended up doing that with two GI Joe's. 30 years later they are still in the box. Good advice.
I love it. I grew up on he-man, G1 transformers, Gijoe, Thundercats, Voltron. Im all in on these MOTU origins figures. No Wal-Mart by me so i finally got He-Man and Skeletor at Target today. They said Battle Cat and Panthor are coming the 10th im geeked. I hope we get Cringer to :) ah nostalgia
MOTU Origins Battle Cat is so cool, I like the colors, articulations and the well sculpted body. The battle helmet and saddle armor are very cool.
I had the original toy as a child, sadly now who knows where it went. I think I had Panthor too, but not certain. Definitely played with it because I remember thinking how amazing the flocking was.

The elbows on some figures are stuck and snap really easy well down here in Texas ..the heat might have something to do with it 105 degreez Buyer Beware but... These are gooood!

They absolutely knocked it out of the park with this series! I do not even collect MOTU stuff and I have been eagerly searching for Skeletor!😁👍. The packaging is beautiful on all these! Are they the most detailed product for collectors? No, but they are perfect for those in between and for adults wanting to have a fun line to collect with their kids! PERFECT!!!!👍😁

This is one of my all-time favorite animated cats! He looks great. I love the updates to the mask and vibrate color on him. Another thing about the modern MOTU there are a ton of great options to round out your collection.
Box looks great and Battle Cat looks great. I just wish they could have given him ankle articulation. The lack of it makes the knee joints kinda redundant. Nevertheless, I'll be picking this up!

This figure and box art just take me be back to some great days in my childhood. I have been trying to avoid motu collecting for years but this origins line might have me.Thanks for sharing.
Nice version! But yes, if it had that articulation at the paws, it would be perfect! Panthor is due out in spring 2021, and it will probably have the same issue.

I go to Target every day to see if anything has come in. They had two of the Rise of Evil sets a week ago - a couple hours later and both were already gone.
Where can I find the classic He-man & Skeletor figures with Battle cat & Panthor?
I'd definitely get the articulated one for the ankles, the other version felt like it was for younger kids that played with them. Seemed more durable.

Is it me? Or there are two versions? There is a regular “battle cat”, but there is another that says “battle cat. Fighting tiger” If there is what’s the difference?
Maybe there is just a regional difference?

I don't think you can have a Battle- Cat that's too big lol but that's just me lol 🤷 he looks great tho. I know it's about preference but I think the Origins just looks better than the classics. Closer to the actual cartoon look for me.
Imo there's something about the maroonish color of the vintage that can't be altered in my mind. Still an amazing piece tho
