Hello from Maine North Woods Hunter (Shane). I am here to tell ya that you can't take all the credit for the last snowstorm. I took off my snow plow from my ATV because almost all of our snow was gone. I even predicted that me, taking the plow off we would probably get buried in snow. Sure enough, we got 24" of fresh heavy snow. I ended up getting the ATV stuck 3 times while plowing and broke the winch cable twice during that plowing sequence as well. Five hours later the driveway was usable. Fun Fun. I guess we should have known better, but you can always hope that that groundhog was right for once. I guess not. t is great to see you. I am glad your little mishap was not that bad. I am sure it could have been a lot worse. Burns are not fun. God Bless you and your family. I helped boil lots of maple syrup in Pa., when I was a boy. I’m glad you didn’t get burned worse. Goes without saying it can be quite dangerous.
Sounds like you're having a better sugar season than I'm having this year ! Definitely some crazy weather ... I've only got just over 3 qts so far . We had 22" of snow last Saturday ! Hadn't checked my buckets in almost a week , looked yesterday, and collected 24 gallons (25 taps) . Back to boiling this weekend 🤪 . Hoping forb3 gallons as well.... Use it year round in my coffee.... Enjoy your season

We had a “Franklin Stove” in our house in Leicester, Vt. Big cast iron monster with bifold doors on the front. Hard to cook on though.

We buy our eggs from a lady who has laying chickens. She sells them to us for $3 a dozen. I told my wife that even if she doubles the price, I'll still buy them! Yeah, fresh farm eggs are that good!
